    God loves us all
  • Olgar Mbota on 1 John 3 - 11 years ago
I understand the perfectness and justness of our heavenly father.clearly expressed in verse 14 17. In other quotations it says not any one who calls me Lord Lord will enter into the kingdom of my father. But only those who do what my father wants. what Gid requires of us is to do good and live in peace with every one.
  • HAHIRWABASENGA JAPHET MOISE on 1 John 3 - 11 years ago
JESUS IS THE WAY AND LIFE SO THROUGH HIM WE FIND ETERNAL LIFE.
  • Melody on 1 John 3 - 11 years ago
Great reassurrance. We are not alone and being hated by others because we love God is no surprise. I would rather be hated then miss out on Gods awesome love.
  • Gregory Plume on 1 John 3:19 - 11 years ago

  • Ruth on 1 John 3 - 11 years ago
i love your commentary, it really makes the of God clear
  • Portia Jones on 1 John 3:22 - 11 years ago
I believe that there truly is only one power and one God that created, maintains and sustains this awesome universe. That power is God which is love and as we try to live our lives according to God's holy commandments, as we believe , and ask God of any good then whatever we ask of God believing that all things are possible through God - then we shall receive - but faith is the key.
  • David on 1 John 3 - 11 years ago
Verse 17 & 18 call us to action. It's not good enough to pray for our brother in need if we have the means to help him.
  • Shanna on 1 John 3:22 - 11 years ago
if we want Jehovah God to hear our prayers, a basic requirement is that we do his will, that we obey his laws. Otherwise God will not listen to us
  • Opara John Daberechukwu on 1 John 3:8 - 11 years ago
It means Holiness glorify's God, while sin glorify's devil.
  • Toni on 1 John 3:8 - 11 years ago
If we sin, we are not Christ's, we are the devil's. Those who love the Lord, will keep His commandments. ( John 14:15)We are to walk in the newness of life, which means our old ways - the life of sin and iniquity, are put to death by Jesus's death. We are now resurrected and living a Holy Ghost filled life of righteousness made possible by the death and resurrection of Christ. Anybody who still sins and says they are Christ's is deceived and still bound by the devil. Now the Word of God is powerful...mighty...sharper than a two-edged sword..it cuts to the marrow. Don't be deceived. There is no way to continue in sin and truly have Jesus.
  • Toni on 1 John 3:6 - 11 years ago
This verse proves that it most certainly is possible to walk in this life without sinning. I hear so many people saying the only one who is perfect is Jesus...that He is the only one who didn't sin. But this verse clearly shows that the only way we can know Christ and really truly say we abide in Him and He in us is by not sinning. When we truly have our eyes on God and are walking not after the flesh but after the Spirit, then we are constrained from sinning. We can not sin. So, preachers and laymen alike who say it's impossible not to sin, are lying and are deceived.
  • Tweet Garrett on 1 John 3:2 - 11 years ago
This is by farr my favorite verse in scripture. I qoute it all the time, because the verse is true. We can look at it which ever way we want but the verse is what it is.
  • Justin on 1 John 3:2 - 11 years ago
Yes we will be like him when he shall appear, that's a revelation_and what we don't knw is not yet revealed.
we shall be like him in glory,so let's rejoice for the revelation

  • Sharlotte on 1 John 3:9 - 11 years ago
the seed is the holy ghost which is God spirit...children of the flesh these are not the childeren of God but those with the holy spirit they are the sons of God. our promise is the holyghost which is the seed.....be blessed by revelation from God...
  • Omojefe Akpofure Sylvester on 1 John 3:8 - 11 years ago
I believe that the works of the Devil here in 1John 3 verse 8 refers to all forces of darkness that want to stop your journey to greatness.
  • Truth of GRACE on 1 John 3:4 - 11 years ago
Jesus did it all folks. TRUST our LORD, not yourselves. Only one way to be righteous.Go to JESUS CHRIST and be saved. He did what we could not.>>> Here we see 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. >>>Ready for some Peace? This verse above says if you are sinning you are STILL under LAW.(easy math) If you can commit one at all it's only because you've transgressed the law. And that's due to the laws defining the sin committed told you it was one.( Romans 3:20) Which ALSO means you have not gotten saved YET ( or even tried to be!). The "Good" news for the saved? READ IT.>>> Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are NOT under the law, but under GRACE.>>> Romans 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets>>>> Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness>>>Romans10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. I HIGHLY suggest you read this, those attempting to be righteous without being saved, for you cannot do so: Galatians 2:16 and Galatians 3 (whole chapter). DO not be a foolish Galatian either and act like Gods gift was not enough. It was everything, for ALL fell short. Go Praise the LORD and rejoice! You are safe with Jesus!
  • Adell on 1 John 3:18 - 11 years ago
We should show action a loving spirit for one another.
  • David on 1 John 3:9 - 11 years ago
when a person is born again or has accepted Lord Jesus as his personal saviour thus he has been washed by the word of God which is the seed and that means God comes first in everything he is doing and the word of God is rooted in him it really is impossible for that person to sin for the word of God which is the seed is planted in him and works in him.
  • Jospeh on 1 John 3:16 - 11 years ago
i feel this passage is backed by john 15:13 and as a reminder but to also deny ourselves for our loved ones which is includes the enemy as we are not partial in love nor giving or protection.
  • Stephen on 1 John 3:2 - 11 years ago
once we have received the spirit of God He begins the work on the inside to transform us to the image of Him, not the full power of the All mighty, but as it says in Genesis, God made man in his image. through sin, we became less than what we are meant to be.
  • Rangkitlang on 1 John 3:6 - 11 years ago
Praise god for he had give us the book of life.
  • Susan on 1 John 3:12 - 11 years ago
Thankyou for this Wisdom from the Lord Yahweh God.. in Chronicles Ch 1 Verse 1.. The line of Jesus Christ via Adam...It omits Cain from that Line.. and Cain went on to have children... and in Genesis that Line is noted in Detail... for good reason. To Identify that Line of Satan
  • Waheed rafiu adelani on 1 John 3:16 - 11 years ago
This case is in two parts, the first part is jesus lay down his live on the cross of calvary for christians.
The second part is for christians which is yet to be fulfilled, that is they ought to lay down their lives to others too on the cross.
  • EMMA on 1 John 3 - 11 years ago
Whoever commits sin transgresses the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
  • Bro. G on 1 John 3 - 11 years ago
    Bro. D has it right. If you still sin, you're not saved. Christians don't sin: sinners sin. Christians are deliverd from sin by getting saved from its power and affects by the Blood of Jesus Christ. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
