That is a metaphore for the foundation of the world. The bible talks about paths in the seas in psalms 8, and really that is talking about ocean currents. Pillars of Creation are also mentioned and you dont see those either.

Peter, clearly the word 'pillars' in 1 Sam 2:8 should be understood as 'foundations', just as a house that is supported on pillars firmly attached to its foundations. It can't be understood as literal pillars - it wouldn't make any sense. Therefore, the foundations are not literal but speak about all that God had decreed & purposed for mankind (see previous verses).

Isaiah 40:22 It is he that sitteth upon the CIRCLE circle of the EARTH earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

It is he that sitteth upon the CIRCLE circle of the EARTH earth,...SO IS THE EARTH A PANCAKE?

So believe in Jesus and the flat earth and thou shalt be saved? really?

How does believing in a flat earth edify the Lord or change anything?

is the moon and the sun flat also?

For the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

May I ask - a simple question?

"HOW CAN A SPINNING BALL EARTH BE SET UPON PILLARS??"

George Woitzik .. Ive heard bout the controversy around flat vs round since the 60's. It has occured to me that even if it were proved to be flat, what would change other than our minds? Verse 8 pillars and ...set the world upon them.sounds like a flat earth.😁

Verse 30~Jehovah God will honor those who honor him. This shows that he pays attention to our action and he will reward those actions if they bring honor to Him.

Hannah's prayer here is truly inspired. Inspired by Angels, who appreciate the infinite might of God. I have read this chapter many times and will continue to read it because in so doing I affirm my belief and remind myself of the power of our creator as well as queue myself appropriately with an understanding of my purpose as a human being made in the image and likeness of God.

We should always to fulfill our vows to God as Hannah gave Samuel to God. When you do so, God gives you more, Hannah gave away Samuel and in turn God gave her 3 more sons and 2 daughters. We should always thank, praise and worship God for everything. If the ministers of God deviate from the truth, God will always raise another generation to serve Him (GOD). God is good, and his mercy endures forever. God is good he gives power and strength when we pray. And we all will declare with one voice, as others pray and rejoice. With hearts and our mouth we now say GOD is good. We simply serve a wonderful savior. What more can he do? He is worthy to be praise, he is beautiful beyond description, he gives and shows us his mercy, and love everyday. Praise GOD

I need to repent more complain less, and honor God at all times!

This is a prayer where Hannah was praising God and expressing her deep faith in God. We can learn lessons from this prayer when we are praying to God.

This made me think,after i reread,we go to places such as church and there are people within the congregation,even a pastor, that is there for a profit or title, but even the ones who give offerings/tithes,GOD knows our heart when we give,so if you are putting money in with a poor attitude about it,he will know,the doings of the congregation is also dually noted,we WILL NOT be able to deny it!

1/ Praise the Lord Jesus There No one any place on this Earth that has Power over him ! And when he speaks We will know it why because every word he Speaks will come to pass Glory to Him There is Not nothing he cannot do he looks down on the Earth he knows all of us on the Earth in Heaven in Hell Nothing or Noone can come up against him .he is the beginning the End Repent

I'm curious as to why the sons did not harken unto their fathers voice, and to think they didn't care that they were doing it either,so when we're in church, we shouldn't be there to flirt and or do other various acts that is going against what church is suppose to be for,it is the enlightenment of our father and his words not our socially disired flesh needs or oh their cute kind thing,its GOD!..

In verse 23 Eli was very lax in the discipline he gave his sons. This failure on his part led to all of them dying.

being holy is something we dont work hard for.. its a default setting. u dont need to fast or pray to be holy, because God didnt.. even in the old testatment God called land holy bt it hadnt fasted.. God told moses to remove shoes bcz the land he was standing on was holy. God is holy but since we also gods we too are holy. when u bcame born again u bcam one with christ.
