The scripture is written to Christians concerning the Millennial Reign and accountability of the Saints. Note that spirit and soul are mentioned separately, as in Henrews 4:12. The spirit of the born-again believer is saved the soul life is judged at the Judgement Seat of Christ following Rapture and before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. In this context, the chapter is coherent. It is an admonition for Christians to act on faith and holiness. This chapter is very direct, and to the point. It is key to understanding many other Scriptures.

It is a Good thing to give Thanks : I get myself in the habit of Thanking my Lord and Savior and God my Father all the day long. Soon it becomes a natural thing for me to do and I cannot see me in ever changing It . To become natural with God is to be unnatural to the world friends : family : coworkers : acquaintances : and in the marketplaces Thanking God with a Thankful heart pleases God and opens up Blessings . God is so GOOOOOOOOOD !!!!! Wouldn 't you say so ?

This scripture is talking about, when all the nations and Governments of world, declare Peace And Security then instant destruction would be upon them This would mark the beginning of the great tribulation.

Paul knows that prayer from others moves GOD to change things for others. So we are to pray for others often.

Thief in the night means unexpected because the world is worshipping anti-Christ and then the true Christ which is the true Husband shows up but they the worshippers were saying we are no widow our husband is here but those Christians who didn 't know that the false Christ comes first in peace and love to steal souls disguised as an angel of light will be stunned and turn nume when the real Jesus comes and then they run to hide in the mountains ashamed. Take heed let no man deceive you and don 't be the first one taken just stay at home and watch.

Let 's examine, Pray Continually 1 Thessalonians 5:17 New International Version "pray continually " This can be confusing. Obviously, it cannot mean we are to be in a head-bowed, eyes-closed posture all day long. Paul is not referring to non-stop talking, but rather an attitude of God-consciousness and God-surrender that we carry with us all the time. Every waking moment is to be lived in an awareness that God is with us and that He is actively involved and engaged in our thoughts and actions By consulting with our Lord, at the work place, our marriage matters, our health etcetera. God can lead us and guide us in the right direction. The steps of a righteous man is ordered by the Lord.

I was having a stressful day .this chapter help .i to see things more carefully.

God, has given another day. And I will thank Him for that.

Verse 18 is so beautiful! What if we were to sit down and write all the answers to prayer we received in 2014. We are so blessed! God is in control! Let 's give him praise and thanksgiving, for He is worthy to be praised!

The ungodly are headed toward the wrath of God. We the righteous are not appointed unto wrath . We are to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ but to my understanding if I we do not receive the salvation offered to us , me :and do not intend to receive the salvation that is there for me in the future in that area then I am going to suffer the consequences of the denial of the freedom of sin . I will miss that Divine appointment.

For there is no other way to the Father,but by me.Jehovah said.

There is so much love, advice, and promise in this chapter, it should make any Spirit filled Christian shout, cry, or laugh with Joy unspeakable and full of glory!!

God has shown me favour, I call it grace cause grace to me is the greatest gift from such merciful and loving God.

God promises for us is yes and amen.He called jehovah because he always do what he says and do them just right.

1 Thes 5 is a call to all prepared believers to exhibit genuine Christian virtues at all time. Live our lives as if the trumpet is going to sound now. Coming like a thief in the night is for those who don 't know Christ in spirit and in truth, because they are never prepared. This is not so for genuine worshipers, because they are always prepared for the time.Therefore, brethren, let us be more focused on things that are above and deemphasize worldly fame, materialism, power,riches. Focus on God and He will bless you than you can imagine.

This is an exhortion to live godly, be expectant of His return, and ready to serve those who need patient teaching.We need to always be on guard against falsity and pray at all times

Me and my wife were having a conversation concerning this verse and she said to me that she would fellowship with another sister in Christ because she has backslidden and because of the life style she has indulged in. I told my wife that this scripture is talking about those who are saved and living a life in Christ Jesus. We are the ones that are to abstain from every kind of evil, But those who are living a sinful life, We are to be a witness for Christ and lead those who are lost and those who have back slided back to Christ or introduce them to Christ and present them the Gift of salvation which Christ had died for. We are not to indulge ourselves in their life style but to lead them to Christ. So as i said this verse is a verse that was written to remind us who are saved that we are to have the character of Christ and to be a shining example to them who don 't know Him or to them that have strayed away from the truth of the love that Christ has for everyone who believes upon Christ holy and Matchless name

It 's speaking of sleep meaning ignorant and not reading the word and drunks who don 't care too.

The only time you could possibly have everyone from all Nations having peace on earth is if the world is turn to a one world system and have a king over them,even if he is a fake king and sits in the temple of God saying he is a god and then, after that false peace they will here the 7th trump and look up and as a thief in the night, even if it 's dark in the middle of the day, the brightness of His coming lights up the sky and all, ALL " will change into spiritual bodies and them caught with Satan acting like the Lamb but speaks like a dragon will be in pain.
