17And the men of Israel, beside Beniamin, were numbred foure hundred thousand men that drewe sword; all these were men of warre. 18¶ And the children of Israel arose, and went vp to the house of God, and asked counsell of God, and saide, Which of vs shall goe vp first to the battell against the children of Beniamin? And the Lord said, Iudah shall goe vp first. 19And the children of Israel rose vp in the morning, and encamped against Gibeah. 20And the men of Israel went out to battell against Beniamin, and the men of Israel put themselues in aray to fight against them at Gibeah. 21And the children of Beniamin came forth out of Gibeah, and destroied downe to the ground of the Israelites that day, twenty & two thousand men.
