Chapter 12
1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. [Don't bless the wicked!] This evil world wants us to hold hands and say they are good. Woe to him that calls evil good and good evil. why? you open yourself up to be possessed by it.
Jesus tells us in scripture below that God made the sabbath for man:
Mark 2:27
"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"
Jesus doesn't say the sabbath was made just for the Jews, or for just Israel. The scripture is plain - the sabbath was made for man!
Man can say anything to bend and twist the bible scripture. People ignore and twist bible scripture regularly - to fit their worldly lifestyles.
Read the bible scripture for yourself and believe it!
God Bless.
With everything going on in the world, He already new what was in their minds, hearts, and souls!!!
You went against His words and the Fathers!!!!!
There is plenty of room for all that worship satan, have fun in darkness, because that is what the Lord
says in His word!!!
BYE BYE!!!!!!
Chapter 26, it was like the temple but made of a tent
Good question. Now we do know who this world belongs to. But Satan is the god of this age. 2 Corinthians 4:4.
Don't let that shake you, Jesus said himself he's not of this word. John 8:23. John 18:36.
Satan rules over the flesh, We have no answer for this and no hope apart from the holyspirit which we receive when we are born again. "Born from above"
God bless.
Thank you again for this very important info, It makes a huge difference when studying in this area.
When you start there with that information and do the homework as you suggested it changes all perspectives.
Your efforts is appreciated and not wasted.
God bless.
I will pray that God lead you into greater revelation of Him and the relationship He desires to have with humanity.
In Jesus Name.
Amen, and well stated. Saturday has and always will be the Holy Sabbath Day.
If we are truly Christ Followers, we will follow Christ, as indeed He and the apostles also did. The Sabbath was made for man to rest, and to keep holy. We should observe it and thank God for it! Yes, it is the 4th Commandment. Jesus sums up following "the commandments" in one of the smallest yet strongest verses in the bible:
John 14:15
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."
This simple verse cuts to the heart! We don't love Jesus if we don't follow his commandments!
Happy Sabbath Day, and God Bless.
Be blessed all, halleluja the Lord Is Good! Jesus Christ my savior!
But you have probably read about the Spirit of God. When we pray, we must pray in Spirit and Truth. That is, and have nothing hidden in the Heart. As it says in James 5:16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
None of us should forget that. Wich u good in the walk with Jesus Christ. He is Lord.
So if you know of 777 books of the Bible, then you may need to cite your source, as the Bible wasn't even anything like what we have today in one binding. It never had as many books as you suggest and as mentioned, most of the writings that were known through those earliest days, have since been lost or disintegrated over time.
The 66 Books we have now in the Bible was first put together by Jerome around AD 400 written in Latin, & often referred to as the Vulgate. The selection of the NT Books (to the exclusion of the apocryphal books) was based generally on the following: was it written by a disciple or one (e.g. Luke) who learned the accounts from a witness of Jesus' Life & Ministry; they had to be written within the 1st Century; and the selected Books could not contradict any other book, to maintain a faithful account of events. Even disregarding the OT Apocrypha, the NT Apocrypha (e.g. Gospels of Thomas, Barnabas, Mary, etc.) have been found to contain erroneous material, & was omitted when the Canon of Scripture was formed. So what we have now in our hands, we believe is what God has determined for us to read & learn from. There may be truths found in other writings, but to avoid entertaining accounts that may be erroneous, it is best to rely on the strict rules of canonization, under the Will of God for us.
Luke 4:16 ....and as his custom was He (Jesus) went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day.... Luke 13:10 ...and He (Jesus) was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. Genesis 1:5....He called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 2:2...and on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. (to set apart, to declare Holy)
Exodus 20:8-11 (4th commandment) Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work, but the 7th day is the Sabbath. So we have established that the preparation day and the Sabbath drew on....was Friday. The Sabbath was the 7th day.... Saturday. He rose very early the first day of the week...Sunday. The Sabbath was established in the first week of creation to commemorate his work. A reminder that he is Creator God. The sabbath commandment starts with...remember. God knew that someday the world was going to forget the true Sabbath and worship a man made Sabbath. This happened under Constantine in the 3rd century when he declared Sunday to be a National day of rest. But he could not change the true Sabbath. He could only counterfeit a new day of rest. Then the Roman Catholic Church established it as a "Holy Day" but it was not Gods holy day. The Catholic Church claims the change and declares it as a "Mark" of their authority! There's that word "mark." Could it be the "Mark" of the Beast is making the false Sabbath (Sun day) law?
According to the Bible, the only gift that is given to a believer is the gift of the Holy Spirit. There is scripture that talks about the "gifts of the Spirit," but the word gift is not the word that means a gift that is given.
If the Lord leads you to do so, I would encourage you to do a study in the New Testament on the word gift or gifts and you will see that the word gift or gifts is either in italics, meaning it is not found in the original Greek text, or it is the word CHARIS which means grace. It has nothing to do with a gift that is given to us.
This is where we get the word CHARISMA from which means an expression of God's grace.
The word DIDOMI in the Greek language is another word used for gift and it literally means a gift that is given. Again, if you do an honest study on every place in the NT where the word gift or gifts is used, you are only going to find one place where the word is used and it actually means a gift that is given. It is the gift of the Holy Spirit. That is the only gift that we are given. Every other place you find the word gift or gifts it is going to be the word CHARIS or CHARISMA which is an expression of God's grace, not a gift that's given to us.
We are only given one gift and it is the gift of the Holy Spirit.
This question is usually framed something like this: "Does the Bible say that in the last days, you will not be able to know the seasons except by the changing of the leaves?"
We had been asked this question many times and had done extensive research into its origin, but had never been able to find the source of the idea.
Recently, someone helped us find the origin of the concept. Evidently, it comes from the "3 Days of Darkness" prophecy of Padre Pio, a Roman Catholic priest. The exact quote appears to be, "You will know when that time is approaching because the seasons will change so the only way you will know the seasons is by the leaves on the trees." (END QUOTE)
I used to Believe that also until recently when I looked for it and could not find it in the Bible. I did find Genesis 8:22.
If that's what you're enquiring about, then that was, in part, because Titus was a Gentile (a Greek) & not a Jew. Every Jewish male at eight days of age, was required to be circumcised ( Genesis 17:10-12 ff) as part of the Covenant God made with Israel, separating them as a special people from the surrounding heathen.
When the Apostle Paul & Barnabas went up to Jerusalem to meet with the Jerusalem Council of Apostles & Elders (see Acts 15:2), he took Titus with them as well. But the Council agreed that Titus, a gentile, should not be circumcised; some were believing & requiring (chiefly by the Judaizers: Galatians 2:4), that gentiles must first be circumcised (i.e. become 'Jews') before they could be accepted as (Christian) believers. So with the agreement & blessing of the Council, the apostles & the early Church were unified that neither circumcision nor the workings of the Law ( Galatians 2:16; Galatians 3:2-13) should ever be imposed on gentiles, even as the Law no longer had strength on anyone (Jew or Gentile) when only God's Grace through faith brought salvation & liberty to those now in Christ. This was a major aspect of the early Church as they battled with not only Gentiles being brought into the body of believers, but that all the Laws that served to show the Jews their inability to keep them, were also now cast aside, because of "Christ is (now brought) the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth" ( Romans 10:4).
