Hi Job. There are many Scriptures that explain spiritual growth, but I like 2 Peter 3:18: we are to "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ". This verse tells me that spiritual growth depends on my relationship to my Saviour - the closer I am to Him, the more I know about Him, & the more I exude His Likeness, all declare the level of growth in my spiritual life. And to do this, I need to spend time in His Word, in communing with Him, & allowing His Spirit to work His Work in my life. Yet, I know there is still much work to be done in my life & this will continue to go on till my entrance into His Presence.

Paul explains the number of 500 that saw the risen Christ! Then He goes on to say that some of them have fallen asleep! This amazing as it may seem, has made me wonder how this could happen! How to fall asleep? How does one fall asleep after seeing such an amazing incident. The incident of Christ appearing before all these people after His resurrections! The scriptures use terms as the conscience being darkened, a sense of seeing yet not seeing. Hearing but not hearing. This confrontation with the holy one, and then how can these things be?

The word faith, is indeed like a grain of mustard seed. The word is the seed! It cannot grow in anything less than good soil! Is faith only a premonition, are these things really happening! The spiritual is not carnal. Earthy is earthy! That which is of the spirit is spirit! Thanks be to God, who guides and directs those who love Him! The holy spirit, lives and reigns even in His word! These words are His words, moving us, even now as they they always have!

Hiya Sam lemme give ya my understanding of the Godhead, its very simply,Its just like Abraham Issac and Jacob as these 3 men were the 1 singular Father of Israel but they were 3 Distinct beings that became as the sands of the seas. And they were Father Son and Grandson that became 12 tribes .We see this great metaphor in the heavenly realm as God the Father ,and God the Son and God the Granson that son that comes out of Christ loins ( his seed etc ) The H.G. that Child of Promise that Jesus said the father wd send in MY NAME ,In my name implies he is the father of the Child , Even in the natural a Child always comes in his Fathers Name. But the H.G is our new innerman that has to be born in us via the seed of Christ the living word thats y the new birth is so important Its Christ means of regenerating himself in us sinners ,Whosoever receives one such child in my name receives me which is the H.G. the Granson, he is the Granson simply b/c he comes out of Christ loins ( his seed ) thats y Isaiah refers to Christ as everlasting Father he is the Father of the H.G. as the H.G cannot be born in US without his seed the word BEING SOWN IN US. thus he is truly the Father of the H.G. When HE breathe on them they received the H.G. HIS BREATH was his words which is his seed. Its God that wants a posterity, It was God the FATHER that made that great Promise of multiplication of Christ seed being multiplied as the stars of heaven thus there is gona be an Israel of God which are spirits that are gona be born in us via the seed of Christ,Without this heavenly trinity which includes a granson ( That heavenly Jacob) n Isaiah 49 the H.G there cannot an Israel of God or the 12 manner of fruit that comes of the throne of God in Rev 22 . The 3 trees in the river of life are Father Son Granson whos leaves ( Words ) are for the healing of the nations. Humanity is just a joint heir with the H.G. the Child of PROMISE. the Granson. Hallo dear friend in Jesus. Ty for your information and im so glad. Becouse u tell about the peace, the thru, the light and what christian supposed to do, who is not likely easy to live after. Understand me right, we have the Holy Spirit who tell us the law! Who tell us right things too do. Thats all about the life Christianity stand for. And forever we will do the right things. What we really do is a different thing. . . If so we need to confess.

What we bring in too the churches for example?

And here we need too look at each other with fully Love. Becouse all have grown differently with God. Some is a new born all the life. Some is seriously reading and studying the scripture from early morning too late night. Someone take the service of pray, and some lay they're hands on other ppl too heal them and soo much more. Some is singing for the Lord, and some are reading. Nowone is not useful. He Ia the Head.

And all is happy about that way of living. It doesn't make one more worthy anyway. We need too see the Lord in each other. See the Spirit of God, see the Love. And carry over with each other, always! A scripture who follow me is when Jesus wach the feet in

    John 13:14

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.

    John 13:6

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?

We need too see the mercy and live after it, as good as we can. That is one of the Spirits. Becouse in another script Jesus said.

Luke 9.54And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

55But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

56For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

God bless Love u all in Jesus name.

I use the 1769 version instead of the 1611 version for the following reasons:

    1. the 1769 version changed the font from gothic to roman making it easier to read.

    2. the 1769 version corrected the 400 printing press errors in 1611.

    3. the 1769 version updated the spelling of some words for standardization because the 1611 had used alternate spellings to help space the words and align verses in columns.

    4. the 1769 version added italicized words to distinguish those words that were added by the translators to supply context to the sentences from the words that were inspired of God.

    5. the 1769 version removed the seven uninspired Apocrypha books that were between the Old Testament and the New Testament in the 1611 version.

According to Paul, when a believer dies, they will be with the Lord. The body of flesh is what lays in the grave and gives the appearance of sleeping.

Seems to me that as I was reading scriptures this morning and getting a grasp on "All is vanity and vexation of spirit(feeding on the wind)" that everything man does(attributes himself in doing) is useless, perplexing, frustrating, ect and that pretty much everything including our existence is useless and void unless we live the 2 great commandments "Love God with all your heart, soul and mind and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. This makes complete sense to me. John Lennon reminds us of this in his song Love-Love-Love. There would be no wars, no poverty, homelessness, greed, hate, envy, murders, ect ect and no EVIL. The list goes on. I am neither red nor blue. Just want a happy thriving.selfless United States of America that also believes in God(Jesus Christ) We can never and will never find true happiness, understand the purpose and meaning of life without living the bare minimum 1st two commandments.

Sister Melody, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    God is SPIRIT.

Christ is SPIRIT (God) with a (glorified) BODY.

SPIRIT is TRUTH (cannot be deceived).

    SPIRIT is LIFE (cannot die).

    WE are FLESH.

    FLESH is against (anti) SPIRIT.

    FLESH is against (anti) TRUTH.

    FLESH is against (anti) LIFE.

Christ came as FLESH, Christ died; and with his death ALL FLESH DIED, Christ (through the power of SPIRIT was resurrected), when he was resurrected ALL FLESH was resurrected (most are dead in UNBELIEF (trespasses) not knowing TRUTH.

The wages of sin (UNBELIEF) IS DEATH.

The wages of GO AND SIN NO MORE (BELIEF) is LIFE and TRUTH (born of SPIRIT).

Those that come to know TRUTH (born again of the SPIRIT; which is TRUTH AND LIFE, the first death and first resurrection) will NEVER DIE they will leave this BODY of FLESH and be given the (glorified BODY of CHRIST).

John 3:13 No man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven.

Christ (Spirit, Truth, Life) is IN YOU. You are the NEW HEAVEN.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven.....

Revelation 21:3 ...Behold, the (temple, Christ is the temple) tabernacle of God is with (WITHIN) men..

Revelation 21:22... for the Lord God almighty and the Lamb are THE TEMPLE of it.

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery.... CHRIST IN YOU ....

1 Corinthians 3:16 ....ye are the temple (ONE IN CHRIST) of God (SPIRIT).

Truth (Good)(Spirit) overcomes deception (Evil) (Flesh).

Truth will make you a full brother to Christ. SPIRIT with a (glorified) BODY.

Luke 20:36 Neither can they die ANY MORE (you died with Christ); for they are equal to the angels (MINISTERING SPIRITS), and are the children of God (Spirit, truth, life), being the children of (CHRIST'S) resurrection.

Revelation 14:13 Blessed are they which DIE IN THE LORD (Spirit, Truth, Life) from henceforth....

Precious friend, Grace Miller: God's Scriptural "Time Frames"? We are in (GRACE/MYSTERY):

Prophecy and Law were, in Scriptures: Matthew until Acts 8, After ISRAEL "fell" in Acts 7!

(We are The Body Of CHRIST In GRACE, According To The Revelation Of The MYSTERY. This is from Acts 9 when our "pattern," Paul, was saved. God's Transition from Law Over To GRACE continued until Acts 28, when he "set ISRAEL aside, blinding them," and "concluding them IN SIN with the Gentiles." GRACE has been "In Effect" for almost 2000 years, and when "IT ENDS" At our Great GRACE Departure To Heaven - see Romans - Philemon), THEN:

God Will Resume His Prophetic Program again, with Israel and the nations in The Time Of Jacob's Trouble. The Scriptures For This "Time Frame" are HEBREWS - Revelation with the associated "prophecies" from Daniel and Matthew!

Grace Miller, Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, And Edified!

  • Rick - In Reply - 4 years ago
Brother Dan I'm a great believer in Grace and Faith But, in action its still summed up in Thou shalt love Lord thy God with all your heart soul mind and strength on these hang all the law and the prophets. So we are saved by grace but if you don't put on the word in the renewed mind Romans 12:2 which is our work or reasonable service than you will not produce the fruits of righteousness. Faith without works is indeed dead. But there's a big difference between work by inspiration and work by perspiration. First one is by faith our spiritual man second one is works natural man 2 Corinthians 10: 4+5 the battle field is the mind. In His Service

Hi Jen , I enjoyed your post very much . I cannot tell you how many times I have seen people , to be honest women , in a church , with half of their flesh on display , reeking of too much perfume and with a two inch thick mask of make up on their faces . It makes me very sad to think that they feel that this is what they should look like . I'm getting on a bit now and starting to look my age , I wear a tiny bit of mascara and maybe some powder to cover my shiney nose , I dye my hair so it's not grey . I do these things so that people don't think that I'm my husband's mum ! So many men also in expensive suits and jewelry and too much aftershave . I don't understand it . Of course God looks at our hearts and not our outward appearance and these people I am criticizing may be very faithfull Christians , I shouldn't judge , I know that . I'm much more comfortable around slightly scruffy people , I like to see some ones real face .

Hi again Kayode , this is my second reply to your comment . I think what I am trying to say is , that Samson believed that it was his obedience to his Nazarite vow in not cutting his hair , he thought that that is why God gave him the strength . He thought that God was rewarding his obedience , in other words he thought he was earning his strength as a reward for being obedient . He trusted in himself and his own works . Once he had been humbled by the treatment of the Philistines toward him he finally realised that God didn't stop loving him because he told Delilah about his hair . He learned to trust in God's love for him and mercy towards him . He had faith again and realised that all he had to do was ask God for help and God would help him , hair or no hair . There is a lesson for us all in there I think . We all sin . God didn't leave Samson , Samson thought that God had left him because he felt that he had betrayed God . He placed to much importance on his hair and his own works and not enough importance on the love of God who is ready to forgive us all when we fail to do what we think we should do . I think I've waffled on about this a bit too much now . I hope you can understand me , I'm not a teacher , as you can probably guess .
  • English sacha - In Reply on Judges 18 - 4 years ago
Hi Kayode , Samson is an interesting man . When I was a babe in Christ I thought that Samson was a great big muscley man . It's only when we read carefully and pay attention to the words that we realise that he was not . If he was a big strong man the philistines wouldn't have been asking about where his strength came from . He looked like everyone else . When we read the New testament we often hear Jesus say something like ' according to your faith you are healed ' or ' because you believed you are healed ' . Samson believed that his strength came from the fact that he had obeyed his Nazarite vow and had never had his hair cut . Judges ch13 v5 , Samson believed that his obedience to God in this matter is why God gave him great strength . After he tells Delilah his secret about his strength coming from his hair he feels enormous guilt , he feels he has betrayed God . He completely looses his confidence and isn't able to be strong any more . At the end of his life , Samson realises that God gave him the strength , it wasn't in his hair , it was in his faith toward God . When he humbles himself and asks God to make him strong again God does , judges ch16 . He commited suicide . The writer of these events is very non judgemental , he gives us the facts without condemning Samson . It isn't our place to judge him either . I hope I have explained this clearly , it's just my opinion , others may disagree , may God bless you .
  • Rick - In Reply on Judges 18 - 4 years ago
Kayode olatise Samsons biggest error was giving away a secret that was between Him and God in regards to His hair because that is where his strength came from. When he divulged info to delilah he sealed his fate.

An interesting note Judges 13:5 For thou shalt conceive and bear a son and no razor shall come upon His head [they are very specific instructions from the angel to follow] for the child shall be a nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

Who else is the area of nazareth of Galilee mentioned only to deliver all people who choose to believe for all time. Its incredible how much Information from the angel was given to manoah and his wife on what to do with the child from verse 5 to verse 20. Another remarkable record of God delivering Israel His Way. I don't think you understand, Dan. When Jesus walked the earth, He preached and taught the kingdom of heaven is at hand, i.e., the kingdom gospel. He commissioned His 12 apostles to preach and teach the same gospel. When Jesus ascended into Heaven, the risen Lord commissioned Paul to preach the Mystery of Christ, which is the body of Christ and the Gospel of Grace through faith to the Gentiles. Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast." Therefore, salvation is by God's grace through the faith of Christ, which is a gift of God. Paul's gospel to the Gentiles had nothing to do with keeping the commandments or the Law of Moses. The truth is in the Scripture, but to find it, you need to study the Scripture and rightly divide it. Peace.
  • IMKane - In Reply - 4 years ago
Paul was called to minister to the Gentiles in Acts 9, but he didn't go to them right away. He preached that Jesus was Lord and Christ to the Jews. After he regained his sight, Acts 9:20 says, "And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God." Later in Galatians 1:15-18, Paul writes, "But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days." Got it?
