Lastly, have a serious look at your relationship with your wife. Any entertaining of a thought or act that lessens the worth & love in a holy marriage, usually means that the spouse no longer upholds the purity & special bond that it demands. In such a relationship, no third person, whether in body or mind, should ever have any place. Put the Lord & your wife in first & second place & none other. If my mind begins to stray, I also immediately look at my wedding ring on my finger & remember the holy union that the Lord has brought us into & the love & life that we have shared these past 25 years. Engage your mind in this worthy discipline - put away anything that takes you away from the Lord Who loves you & from your wife who cherishes your love & commitment to her. No other person can replace the ones you have in your life now. May the Lord help you & your wife in this area and find His Peace & His Joy in living for Him & each other.

Hello Levi. Just to add to the other brothers' valuable comments. There is usually some area or areas in each one of us that gives Satan access into our lives. It may not be as dramatic as what you've shared - it could even be a fleeting evil thought or intent. Most believers will quickly recognize that intrusion is certainly not of God & something that is either sin or will lead to it. And we have to deal with it - it can be an ongoing daily battle for some - others may find healing as they submit totally to the Spirit's Power & Direction. I'm sure the Lord has forgiven you (& your wife) as you've come before Him in repentance & in earnest to turn away from such sin, yet the sin of lust in your thoughts continue.

The main thing at this point is to prevent those thoughts from becoming an act of sin. You are showing restraint & you must continue to withstand Satan from taking a foothold in your life as he did before. I think of the Apostle Paul writing in Philippians 4:6-9 about those who were plagued with worry & anxiousness (which, by the way, is also sin). Paul suggested that they commit those matters to the Lord in prayer & thanksgiving, allowing God's Peace to fill them & sustain their troubled hearts & minds. Sin takes root in the mind: it's the Devil's playground. We are not to join him in his games, but attend to the Lord's ministry to cleanse & heal our minds. One way that Paul gives, is in verse 8: let the Devil play his games, but you have to perform it the Lord's Way. We must fill our minds with the things that come from the Lord: things of purity, honesty, truth, loveliness, etc. If it's lust, then we turn our minds to the purity & loveliness of God, of our marriage, how to please our wives, engaging ourselves on worthier, wholesome matters. We also attend to the reading of God's Word, especially at those times of fleshly weakness. When such things become a part of our lives, even during temptation, Satan will flee & the Peace of God rules.

    Hi Cheryl,

The Bible says we will all first be judged. Not just non-Christians, not just "sinners."

    Ecclesiastes 12:14

    2 Corinthians 5:10

    Matthew 12:36

We also know that some will be confident and assume they'll go to heaven, but won't get in.

    Matthew 7:21

To me that means that no one is going to either of those places until after judgment day:

    Revelation 20:11-15

    Hebrews 9:27

    1 Corinthians 4:5

And finally, if people don't go to heaven or hell when they die, where else do they go? Here's what the Bible says:

    Job 14:12

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

    1 Thessalonians 4:17

I believe just as 8 hours can pass in the snap of a finger will it seem like a snap of the finger for those "sleeping" will awake and rise to meet Jesus in the air then face judgment. This took time to put together and paste all these verses here for you, so I hope you likewise take a moment to hover over them and read them. I care.

"Those have been judged to be murders are already in Hell". What about this murderer? Does Moses get special treatment, qualified immunity for his sins?

11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.
  • Fred Scanlan - In Reply on 2 Corinthians 5 - 5 years ago
This then would be the final judgment of the world! Those from the holocaust, many holocausts, since!

Those have been judged to be murders are already in Hell. The last judgment of the world. the last time, the end of time as we know it, will be the consummation of all the prophecy! Them the judgment! No more sin, death, only everlasting life!

Today, many hate the Jew. The contempt for God as God, in the Christ has brought this same hate upon those who trust and believe His words. (The Christian). We who bare these things are witnessing the sorrows spoken of in scripture . "These are the beginning of sorrows".

Not withstanding, besides these things , the Jewish nation still denies the Christ! Be not deceived, If you love the Christ you will know the sign of the times. Watch, be sober ,be vigilant, Satan continues his prey for those who stray!

Pilate said it well when he said what is truth!

Confusion, derision, division, are everywhere you look! These are indeed the beginning of sorrows!

Do you think Paul was in the will of God when he went to Jerusalem, after he was told by Disciples in the Spirit "Don't go to Jerusalem " Acts 21:4,11 and Agabus the prophet "Thus saith the Holy Ghost...Jews at Jerusalem bind the man......" v.14 " And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased saying, The will of he Lord be done."?

    Hi Levi.

To answer your question, "has anyone else ever experienced something like this?" Sometimes I do things I regret, But not to that degree. Being saved 15 years I would have to examine myself closely against the word of God and make my salvation "SURE" IF you haven't already done this.

Let me give you a scenario of what often happens, " NOT TO SAY THIS IS YOUR CASE"

Often people make a profession whether in or out of Church and the next step is they're baptized, The preacher welcomes you in the family of believers and then the celebration.

Your confidence is in an outwardly ceremony. But the Life Jesus gives is inward!! God cleanse the inside of the cup that way the outside may be clean also.

We believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and our confidence is in him being true and faithful.

Our walk will reveal what Spirit is behind us,

Please take a close look at those 15 years in the light of scripture and be sure. You can't change what has already happened but you can be sure.

    God bless

If a Christian is faithful, washed in the blood of Christ and cleansed of our sins and then dies, do they go directly to heaven at death or do we wait until the end of the world when all are raised. Does purgatory exist? What is it for and where in the Bible can I read about it?

  • Adam - In Reply - 5 years ago
    Dear Levi,

That's good that you are aware of the struggle between good and evil. Awareness is nearly half the battle. Becoming a Christian doesn't lessen the temptation of sin, in my opinion. But when we know the consequences of sin and do it anyway, it's basically like spitting in Jesus's face and turning our back on Him. He died for us and if we sin we are highly disrespecting Him and putting ourself at risk.

Paul struggled with his flesh too. This doesn't mean a Christian indulges in sin, but it means sin is always a temptation and we need to work hard to avoid it.

    Romans 7:19

Jesus said if we love Him we'll obey (and not sin):

    John 14:15

One could presume that if we willingly commit sins anyway that we love sin more than Jesus.

HEBREWS 10:26 - this verse echos that.

Matthew 5:30 - makes it clear what the priorities are. Basically if you're tempted to sin, DO ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IMAGINEABLE TO AVOID IT! EVEN CUTTING OFF YOUR OWN HAND!!! This shows the severity of the consequences of sin. For those genuinely following Christ we are fortunate to have grace for our misteps. However, if we willingly choose to defy Jesus and disobey and sin, we're basically turning our back on Jesus and following the devil. So, I think deliberate sinning, despite being a Christian and knowing better, and knowing right from wrong can have eternal consequences just as Heb 10:26 says.

So, if avoiding this temptation was important enough to you, you could use a lot of strategies to ensure you never commit this horrific sin:

    1. Move away (physically remove the temptation out of your life)

    2. Don't watch images or videos associated with that desire. Out of sight out of mind.

    3. Replace that lust with something positive.

    4. Reward yourself for each week you complete where you keep pure thoughts. Save up for a vacation with your wife or something special to reinforce the bond between you.

    5. Get rid of all friends and influences that might give temptation.

    Etc. God bless...

    Hebrews chapter 9

27 And as it is appointed unto men ONCE TO DIE but after this the judgment:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

This is speaking of the Christian dead. (Wherever their bodies ceased to be alive. For the Christian, Christ follower; their flesh/bone remains on the earth, awaiting the moment of the Rapture.

Their spirits have already returned to God in heaven.

The non-Christian dead, remain where they died. Their bodies had been flesh and soul. Because they did not receive Jesus as their Lord; their spirits were not alive to God. They await the Great White Throne Judgment of the wicked dead.

In the story of Lazarus the beggar, a rich man awaiting the judgment begged for water because of the flames, but Lazarus could not cross the gulf of distance.

The rich man (died wicked dead) begged again, that Lazarus would go witness Christ to his family members, yet alive. But Lazarus could not cross the gulf. People in hell...pray; they feel, they thirst; they can see.

They would tell you to rescue their still unsaved loved ones.

We can all witness now to our alive, but unsaved family members or close friends. It's up to us. We may be their only contact to hear that there is hope and rest in Jesus. Eternal life in heaven.

I grieved for my unsaved friends and relatives. We all do. Regret is hard to swallow.

Instead of becoming bitter at God and Jesus, remember the manner of death Jesus had to die, so we could be born again. I wept when I watched "the Passion of Christ" movie. I covered my eyes too.

We need to think on this exchange between Lazarus and the rich man; and not stay silent any longer. TIME is shorter.

    LUKE 16: 19-31

Tito, your concern makes me wonder if the Lord is calling you to be an evangelist? Because you care much for those who have not made a decision (for Christ) yet.

A month after salvation, I was out on the streets in Roswell NM (alien capital of the world) evangelizing the lost. I did not want anyone to ever go through what I went through.

You pray to the Lord of the Harvest, to raise up and send workers into the harvest SOON.

If you, yourself, know how to be saved; you know enough to tell someone else How To Be Saved. Tell them what convinced you. The Lord of the Harvest (Holy Spirit) will give you the words.

God will surely perform the Written Word of God (The Bible). There is no revision. Our born again spirits are screaming to us: Time is Almost Up.

    Revelation 22

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life (Jesus Christ) and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For "outside" are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall ADD unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall TAKE AWAY from the words of the book of this prophecy,

God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Read how Jesus witnessed to Nicodemas in John 3.

Adam and Eve were alive spiritually to God. Adam talked to Him. After they sinned, that spiritual connection was broken. For them and for all of mankind born till NOW. Only Jesus can restore that connection. His holy blood was poured out on all mankind. Done! All that needs done, is to tell others it is a requirement to repent of wrongdoing and Receive The Free Gift of salvation: Jesus.

Raquel, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

The ones who die in unbelief will at some point in time be resurrected back in their bodies of flesh and will be JUDGED IN CHRIST and will BE IN CHRIST.

Isaiah 1:26 I will restore thy judges (ones in first resurrection)as at the first, and thy counsellors (ones in first resurrection) as at the beginning: afterwards (second resurrection; after they or judged IN CHRIST) thou shalt be called, the city of RIGHTEOUSNESS, the FAITHFUL city.

Isaiah 26:9 .....for when thy JUDGEMENTS are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Isaiah 61:11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God WILL CAUSE RIGHTEOUSNESS and PRAISE to spring forth before ALL the nations.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise (ones in the first resurrection) shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they (ones in first resurrection) shall turn many (ones in second resurrection) to RIGHTEOUSNESS as the stars for ever and ever.

    MATTHEW 6:1-7

1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt NOT be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is IN SECRET; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

7 But when ye pray, use NOT vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (Sorta like 50 Hail Mary and Our Father, prayers?)

Mishael: The Lord wants us to pray from our hearts. Just as He wants us to give our offerings from our hearts; as unto God. That is often how missionaries work is funded; youth camps, etc.

We give our tithes to our Church that we attend, so they can pay the light bill, water bill, and church employees; maintenance stuff.

Trust me that God knows where every penny is and where it went.

He tells us: Do Not Judge. Why? Because He Alone is The Judge.

We commit our actions to Him, and He sorts out the details.

This is what's supposed to be in our hearts. Purity, Trust, and a knowing that our faithfulness will be rewarded, On Earth, When we most need it.

Pray in your own words, your thoughts, confess your doubts; repent of wrongs. Your conscience will always feel clean and un-clouded.

I have a question regarding fornication. My wife an I have both been saved sense a young age. We've been married 16 years an about a year ago we made a horrible mistake an decide to go after our own lust an invite another woman into our bed. Sense then we have both realized our faults an have turned away from that but I still struggle with lusting for that even tho I hate there very sin I committed. My question is if I hate this sin an want the lust an thoughts to be gone from my mind why do I still struggle with it so much? I've stayed in prayer asking God for forgiveness an to help me to not want the very things I hate but nothing seems to change. What am I doing wrong? has anyone else ever experienced something like this?

    Queen E Williams

Everything that the Son of God is, was, and will be was before this world was. So, Jesus was and is the bridegroom, but the bride has not been made ready as of yet. In Hebrew weddings the father who sets the day, he will not tell the son until the day the son will return, so everyone had to be ready to go at any minute. Jesus rode into Jerusalem first on a donkey colt. Revealing the King is coming to you; He is just and having salvation. Long ago if a king came on a donkey he was coming in peace.

When Jesus returns, He will be riding a white horse of war ( Revelation 19:11-16). Jesus will reign above all until the last enemy which is death shall be destroyed. Jesus fights that battle and the beast and false prophet will be cast alive into the lake of fire. Satan was locked in the bottomless pit for 1000 years. It does not say who casts Satan into the lake of fire, maybe Jesus since His sacrifice was what defeated him and saved us.

    God bless,
