Today is the day of salvation.Without faith it is impossible to please God. We walk by faith, not by sight. You get close to God by having faith. Without faith, you will not make it.
I will say this, if you are not saved after you die, there are no more chances.
Many people are living in error in reading the bible.
Paul is talking to the saved people/churches that came from the book of Acts.
The epistles are not written to the world.
are in the bible
Today, people try to tempt or convince others they too can be "like God" and some even assume they are a god, or the God. Obviously this comes from satan as he is very skilled at deceiving, including Christians. Emulating the character of Jesus and walking in His footsteps is very different than someone claiming the other self centered special powers- almost like a form of self worship, and separates someone from the one true God, what satan wants.
We have a basic exhortation as a people to be the "head" instead of the "tail" (see Deut. 28:13). As a church; we should be willing to support the brethren especially when we can see trouble coming as we see in Acts 2:45 similar to what was predicted by Agabus in Acts 11:28. Wisdom is something the Lord will give us if we ask ( James 1:5). That may apply currently to extracting finances or money from risky investments or bank accounts to have some on hand; to have emergency food supplies and a generator at hand; precious metals for trade; etc.
Our political leaders are not to be worshipped either (I am leaving names out here). There is enough at fault in both sides of the political spectrum. Whether it is possible at this point for anyone of integrity to lead our nation and for that person to win the party nomination (again no names here) is something I am not placing any bets on. Proverbs 16:18 warns us that pride comes before a fall; and certainly there is enough of that to go around. People hear what they want to hear; but those of the house of the living God will hear His voice ( John 10:27). When we hold on to this life too much; we forget that we are "seated in heavenly places" ( Eph. 2:6). That is a present state; but our future hope in glory is brought forth by natural death or martyrdom. I am convinced that we would never see the harvest of innumerable saints ( Rev. 7:9) if the 5th seal event and later killings of the Antichrist for not taking the Mark were not instituted. Apparently; "tribulum" means a threshing board using in harvest for separation purposes. Satan will be used as God's instrument to finally bring the wheat to fruition in the heat of the fires of that trial ( Rev. 3:10). As for now we should heed to the admonition of the very next verse as rewards can and will be lost for those who don't remain patient and are distracted by things of this world today. May we keep our eyes on Him.

I am sorry that you are going through so much hardship. Keep your eyes upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Pray without ceasing. When you are in pain and cry out to God, intercede also for others who are suffering in this world. Also, Take into account all of your blessings you do enjoy each day. Keep in the Word and pray for the Holy Spirit to feed you through it and guide you.
But even before the sin of Adam and Eve, Satan sinned before God and so did the angels that followed after him. So, sin originated in Satan. But we each choose to sin due to our sinful nature.
When Abel was murdered, Cain was left. He went in a rebellious direction against God. When Seth was born, God blessed him and his descendants as God determined that it was through the lineage of Seth that the Savior of Gen. 3:15 would come. Although there is a short account of Cain's lineage. His lineage ended in the flood along with the lineage of any other sons born to Adam after Seth.
The point of giving the lineages in the Bible is to document the Messianic lineage from Adam to Jesus. It is through the lineage of Seth that the Savior would be born. Noah was a descendant of Seth and only Noah and his family survived the flood to repopulate the earth.
There are accounts of the lineages of Noah's three sons, Shem, Japheth, and Ham in Genesis 10, but after that, the Bible focuses on the lineage of Shem and then narrows down to the lineage of Abraham through Isaac, though Abraham had 7 other sons. The focus is then on Jacon, not Esau. And then on the 12 sons of Jacob.
Then we come to the line of Judah, from which King David was born. David had many sons from many wives. But Solomon is singled out. So we have a narrow focus on genealogy in the Bible because it is to show the human lineage of Jesus to show that He is from the tribe of Abraham, through Judah, which qualifies Him to be the Messiah as an Israelite.
We'll talk soon.
Go's bless you.
Herod Antipas, (born 21 bce-died after 39 ce ), son of Herod I the Great who became tetrarch (ruler of a minor principality in the Roman Empire) of Galilee, in northern Palestine, and Peraea, east of the Jordan River and Dead Sea, and ruled throughout Jesus of Nazareth's ministry.

We must honor Jesus, and we must never forget it. Stay truly safe in Gods word. Love you all in Christ.
Have a good night's sleep. I am sleepy, so hopefully I will get to sleep quickly. Please pray that I do since I do have trouble getting to sleep most nights. I appreciate that.
I am praying for you. You have been through a lot! I pray that God will relieve you of your pain and heal up the area of surgery and infection that necessitated the drain. May all of the medications and procedures work well for you. Amen.
When Job had finished asking the same questions you are asking, do you know how the LORD began His answer to Job? "Who is this that darkeneth counsel BY WORDS WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE?"
- Job 38:2
And again, "Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? He that reproveth God, let him answer it."
- Job 40:2
Do you know what Job realized after the LORD was done? " . . . Therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not."
- Job 42:3
To your question, there will be no greater than what the Scriptures have given in the book of Job.
I suggest you read the entire book of Job.
Thanks for the reply!
I remember when I would answer everything when in a debate.
Most was friendly but a few wasn't.
I've learned to discern when a post is going to go south by the way the question or statement is given.
Now I just don't read them because I know myself!!
If I engage it's hard to disengage!
If I read it and it's something I disagree with that has suddenly become personal to keep from being tempted to respond I just don't read it, Especially if it's been dealt with.
When I'm contacted directly by a person I read the first line or two and when I see it's going right back down that road, I leave off there from reading.
This is nothing new from me.
Once you say you don't won't to discuss soteriology when asked, I don't have no interest in engaging.
For that it was said I was being disrespectful.
Brother Jesse this don't bother me at all.
If nothing else it's a lesson in itself and clarity in what we talk about often. fruitfulness. Everything will manifest itself.
It's not how busy you are, It's who's energizing the work. He that is energizing you will manifest himself through you whether it be God or Satan.
By the way me and my wife is going out of the country on vacation tomorrow so I will be out of reach for a week.
God bless you and all you do.
We are told by Jesus in Matt. 7:15 to watch out for false prophets.
And 1 Tim. 4:16 we are exhorted by Paul to watch our life and doctrine closely.
Is it ever safe to believe a false doctrine? Will a false doctrine not prove to hurt us in some way? Can believing a false doctrine lead us astray or into further deception? I would say that believing what is false doctrine is always harmful to believers. That is why we are so warned by our Lord and Paul and the other Epistle writers.
So, while some will say that views on eschatology do not affect our salvation, you and I beg to differ with this idea. Also, agreeing to disagree is somewhat normative in today's circles. But for me, if some belief is proven false by Scripture, as you and I have done so concerning the pre-trib rapture in recent exchanges, we should challenge people to believe what Scripture clearly, plainly, and explicitly teaches and forsake beliefs that one "thinks" Scripture supports through implication, presumption, or by wishful interpretation.
I, for one, have had to change my beliefs on topics over the years when what Scripture clearly teaches shows me that my belief is wrong. All of us have needed to do this. For this, I am so thankful we have the Scriptures in hand in our own language to learn from what God has chosen to reveal to us. Being humble and submissive to the Holy Spirit when He shows us truth in the Word is how we all should desire to be.
So, we can always pray for God to show us the truth of His Word in areas where we are believing falsely and we can pray for others who are believing false doctrines. This is one way we can build one another up in the most holy faith. The other way is to bring forth Scripture that refutes false doctrines in order that those who believe such doctrines will submit to the truth of God's Word. may God be merciful to all of us who exchange here and may He help us to speak the truth in love on every occasion.
