But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: ( Titus 2:1)

The Bible tells us we lived with God before we were born.

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? ( Job 38:4,7)

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. ( Jeremiah 1:5)

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 2 (Timothy 1:9)

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: ( Ephesians 1:4)

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: ( 1 Corinthians 2:7)

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (Titus1:2)

(A Prayer of Moses the man of God.) Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. (Psalms: 90:1-2)

God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. ( Romans 11:2)

She was with our Lord before and during the creation of the world.

Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; ( Proverbs 8:30)

Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

    ( Proverbs 8:4, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27)

This more of a question. In Titus 3:1 it tells us to obey our government. If a government by the people has and is leading Christians away from God and His commandments a government that lies, cheats, steals and eat up Gods people like the eat bread that government? Even when that government no longer hides their immoral actions in fact boast about them, a government by the people who chooses to destroy a nations and kill their citizens for power ? That government we as Christians are supposed to obey?

    Amen Shaa Rei:

Do you KNOW YOUR NEW NAME?

Isaiah 62:2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and thou shall be called by a NEW NAME, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what he saith to the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a NEW NAME written, which no man KNOWETH SAVING he that receiveth it.

Revelation 3:12 And he that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall no more go out, and I will WRITE UPON HIM THE NAME OF MY GOD, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him MY new NAME.

You are baptised into THE NAME OF JESUS.

You are the BODY OF CHRIST.

Ephesians 4:4 ONE BODY and ONE SPIRIT .....

    God Bless You.

If we would realize how great our God (Jesus Christ) is . According to Ephesians 4:5 1LORD,1 FAITH, 1 BAPTISM. There would not be so much confusion in who God is. There is over 2000 different religions? Why ? There is only 1God 1 Lord 1Faith 1baptism . What I am trying to say is we believe the Bible like we should and stop following traditions. There wouldn't be so much confusion in the Church organization. The confusion should be out in the World. Our Lord is Jesus Christ, Our faith is based on the Apostles doctrine. One baptism Acts 2:38 Than Peter said unto them Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Than we can thank God who he really is. David I really believe in this chapter knew God is one , and one Lord. That's why He had such a great relationship with God before trouble came he knew God. Than when we get in a place of trouble we know what our God - JESUS CHRIST CAN do, He's my Sword my shield,my deliver. I want tell a testimony that happen awhile ago. In a large city of 850,000 people. We went out to eat, than came back to our Hotel . Our daughter and her family stay at one end of Hotel, were the stairs is. My wife and I at the other end. So about 15minutes pass by ,we our about to lay down. I hear a small tap at the door. ,I was by the door already,

I look at my wife and said to her did you hear that ? I answer it ! I said who is it ? This little voice said it's me! I opened the door,to my surprise its our youngest granddaughter . She looked frighten,so we said were's your Mom ? My wife took a look outside the room,Hm no one there. So we thought they dropped her by to get some rest. My wife took her back to our Daughter & Son n Law room. Didn't realize she slipped out. From that moment they were in shock thinking what could of happened. My wife came back to our room & told me that they were all asleep, she WALK out.We gave God praise for his MERCY!

Why do the church always dress Jesus's in fancy clothing?

Why does the church always dress Jesus's, Mother Mary and the Angels with gold, silver and diamonds?
  • Suze - 3 years ago
Hi , some one recently asked about an age of accountability but I can't find exactly where so I shall answer here if thats ok , just going from what God Himself has said in the Old Testament , these things may be worth consideration : Israelites were not permitted to go to war until they were twenty years old , Levites were not lowed to help carry the Tabernacle until they were twenty five years old and Levites were not permitted to perform priestly duties such as offering sacrifices etc until they were thirty years old and , the adults that wandered the dessert for forty years were not allowed to enter the promised land but their 'children ' of twenty years old and under were allowed to enter the promise land .

    .....continued

The last commandment is concerning covetness. This is a "thought" sin. It is desiring in our hearts to have what rightfully belongs to another. We are not to scheme ways to acquire such things or person by deceit or wrong dealings. We are to not be envious of others or jealous of what they have, thinking that they should surely be made to share their wealth with others. (It is up to the wealthy to decide what to do with their wealth, not us or the government.) It is to think snarkily about others who are prospering. It is to encroach on a property line inch by inch. There are so many ways to covet. It begins in our minds and then moves to scheming to find ways to obtain what they have and then acting on these schemes. We get to keep what we have earned and worked for and others get to do the same with their own property, wealth, family, and "stuff" (even job position, if you work with someone-even a promotion or honor given to another).

These are the 10 commandments. These are not the whole of the Law God gives to the Israelites, but it is the basic tenets that keep a society civil and moral. If God had said, "Love God and love your neighbor" without spelling it out as He did, people would redefine this in so many nefarious ways, allowing for multitudes of sinful ways to be seen as o.k.

Jesus later takes theses commandments down to even a finer detail in the Sermon on the Mount.

Well, the people saw all of the thunderings of the trumpets and lightning flashes and the mountain smoking. They trembled and drew farther back away from the base of the mountain, telling Moses to have God speak to him, not to them, fearing they will die if God speaks directly to them. Moses tells them not to fear, for God has come to them to keep them from sinning. Moses then returns and draws near to the thickening darkness where God was. Are we willing to go into such a state as Moses did to be where God is and is ready to meet with us personally?

    .........continued

God goes on to warn that He is a jealous God. This is saying He claims the Israelites as His own people; they need to claim Him as their only God. He has every right to claim them and to set them apart for His glory. He warns them that the iniquities of those before him will be visited upon their future generations if they come to hate Him by worshipping other gods. This is interesting. The Bible is clear that each person is guilty of their own sins, not those of others. So what does He mean by this? I think it means that breaking these first commands concerning worshipping Him alone without images will be hard to break from the practice of their families coming after them. It will have a devastating effect on their future generations. It is difficult to undo such sin in ones family line. Tradition is hard to break.

But to those who stay true to Him, He will bless them with mercy upon mercy, time and time again. Those who love Him and keep His commandments will be favored by God. Jesus is the only one who kept these commandments perfectly. He was the Beloved Son in Whom the Father is well pleased.

The next command is to not take the LORD's name in vain. Not only does this address using the LORD's name in a cursing way, but also in a flippant way, or as an expression of surprise or shock, as is common in our society today. We should always use our God's name reverently and with sincerity. If we call on Jesus to help us, we do so in faith. If we exclaim in wonder using the LORD's name, we should be sure that we are honestly praising Him. I think that being a guard over our speech is very important. It is a witness to others concerning our value of our God and our commitment to Him and His ways. Jesus never said an idle word, a wrongly applied word, an unnecessary word. May we also, keep a close watch over our conversations.

The next command concerns the keeping of the Sabbath. It is to be taken after six days of work.

It's only recently that I have really understood the important incident in Genesis Ch 25 V 29-34 . I always felt slightly sorry for Esau , he was faint with hunger and Jacob should have just fed him I think . There is , I now realise , a lesson for us as Christians . Esau says : I am at the point to die , what profit shall this birthright do to me ? Let's apply this statement to ourselves , would we save our own physical lives and compromise our faith by not trusting in God's promise of eternal life in His Kingdom ? Would we try to save our lives in this world by sacrificing our place in the world to come ? If we are told to do something that we know is against God's will , in order to get food , would we do it to preserve our lives in this world ? I think I get it now . Yes , I am sometimes a bit dumb smiley face .

    Part 1

Here is a very important truth that is not discussed often and one that can tie a lot of loose ends.

What does works of the flesh and the works of law have in common? And how does it contrast Fruit of the Spirit. And what does baptism "Not water baptism" has to do with it?

When talking about salvation we like to consider verses like John 3:16. Romans 10:9. and others. But what does born from above spoken by Jesus in John 3:7 means and how should the new birth effect the believer in a way the old nature could not?

Here's just a few reference verses.

    Galatians 2:16. Galatians 5:19-21.

    Galatians 5:22-24. John 15:1-6.

    John 3:7.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So, then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:1-11.

    QUESTION? PSALMS 51

Whose words, are the words in Psalms 51?

Are the words, David's words; or they, the Holy Ghost's words?

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God SPAKE as they were moved be the Holy Ghost.

2 Samuel 23:1 Now these be the last words of David ......

2 Samuel 23:2 The spirit of the Lord SPAKE by me, and his word was in my tongue.

Is not Psalms 51 a PROPHECY of Christ coming as SINFUL FLESH to be saviour of the world?

Psalms 51:13 Then will I (Holy Ghost) teach transgressors thy (the Father's) ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee (the Father).

May God give us eyes to see and ears to hear.

Hello! I am doing a paper against OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved) and I would just like some God given advice from fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I go to a baptist church and am in a close friendship with a teenage preacher from the church. I am for some reason incredibly nervous about writing a paper on this topic and have put it off for months because of my fear of it. So if there is anybody here who has done something like this before or has had a discussion with a baptist friend, I would love to get some advice from you. Thank you! :)
