But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. It is good to learn of the Old Testament however, we should focus on what God is requiring now in our lives. First the sinner should follow Acts 2 38. Then after a person gets saved according to Acts 2 38 then they should try to live saved according to the word of God. You must be born again of water and spirit.

Hello X I have to make a correction. This promise that is spoken of by Peter in Acts 2 38 is for both the Jews and Gentiles and if you are not born a Jew then you are a Gentile no matter what color you are.

However, concerning the appointment of Elders, the one the leader or pastor appointing should be filled with the Holy Ghost, the true Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the spirit of God give them utterance following Acts 2 38. The ones being appointed should be also filled with the Holy Ghost and following Acts 2 38. Remember the Bible is speaking to the true believers.

I am seeking the lord. The app on my phone gives a new scripture everyday. Proverbs 15 22 seems to have struck a cord with what I am going through. I ask only for guidance to get through this difficult time in my life. I need prayer, I need help. I need understanding of all this scripture. Do I go out and get advice from multitudes? From who? I will loose my home if I can 't find a job soon. My car is in need of repair too. I have a lot depending on me. God has always helped me before...but I 've never gotten this low before.

I must reply to the comment on racism. God did an interesting thing when he created color. The color one sees with the eye is NOT what the color of the item really is. What the eye sees is all the color that the item rejects, or reflects away from itself. So a red apple is in truth, every color that is NOT red. The same is true with skin color, a black person is in reality white and a white person is black! Of course everyone is a blend of colors and God created all as equal! Racism is a vile sickness that people have because of ignorance of the truth. They should be ashamed and they are NOT the color they think they are!

General comment or observation 1. In the Old Testament I read and find the word "LORD " while in the New Testament I find the word "Lord " often used, why difference if we refer to the same God? 2. Why not use His, He or HIS or HE whenever refering to God rather than use of mere he or he as we do while refering to ordinary man? 3. Why refer to name satan with "Satan or SATAN yet he is known as lucifer or evil small god? KJV is my favorite! GBU 4. Why not refer to angels

Ezekiel 16 6 I believe this verse is used in the sense of a female during the time of her monthly cycle. I never knew any other plan of salvation but the one I 've posted. I got conviction under Billy Graham crusade and excepted the Lord three weeks later. The only thing that I can leave you with is I Cor. chapter 15 verses 1 4. This is what the Lord has showed me.

One is " THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH " referred to as JESUS and the evil one is " THE ROARING LION ALWAYS SEEKING WHOM HE MAY KILL AND DESTROY " referring to Satan the Devil .

Baptism is very necessary, along with repentance, and being filled with the Holy Ghost. Baptism is part of the salvation plan. If it were not necessary then those 12 men in Acts 19 would not have had to be rebaptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If it were not necessary then Peter would not have had Cornelius house, the first Gentiles in Acts Chapter 10, to be baptized in the name of the Lord after they received the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Book of Acts is the recorded beginning of the church age. The Book of Acts shows how important each component of the salvation plan is and all are very necessary. You must follow Acts 2 38 in order to be saved. Jesus said himself you must be born again of water and of spirit, John Chapter 3. Jesus said, Peter clarified it on the day of Pentecost, the Apostles carried the plan of salvation out, and we today still receive it through Acts 2 38.

God loves when we praise His name and pray in Spirit . I wonder how many of us would really do what Paul and Silas did when they were in prison. Like Paul says to the Ephesians in chapter 6 verses 13 to 18 we have to wear "the whole armour of God " all the time , in every situation of our lives, specially now that everything is changing so fast. Jesus is coming, Rapture is a breath away now.

I have an old book about the History of the Church written by a Greek Bishop, which states that John returned to Ephesus after his release from Patmos island where he wrote the book of Revelation , and he died Ephesus in the year 97 A.D. This was stated by Polycrates bishop of Ephesus at the end of 2nd century. Another Bishop,of Lyons called Irenaeus , states the same thing again in the second century.I also checked on internet and found the same information from several sources.
