Santi I agree Love is an Action not just a Word. God Tests us by giving us Opportunities to walk in The Fruit of The Spirit and when needed gives us His Strength and Longsuffering during the Storms of Life. When we Choose to do Good The Holy Spirit Empowers us to do it putting our Carnal flesh to death as we Aim to be Perfected in God's Love which brings us Close to Him so Satan flees- Bless you.

Santi it's not God who Temps us to do evil James13 but we do reap the evil we sow which is God's Loving Discipline to bring us to our Senses and to Heart Repentance. Satan puts us to the test wanting us to reject The Lord and Worship him he uses his followers to hurt and deceive us and to temp us to follow the way of Balaam 2Peter2 God protects our Souls and not one of us will be lost Eternally.
  • I AM THAT I AM: on Acts 8 - 6 years ago
O proud man, know ye not that the Son of God chose ye that ye may live? It is written, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
  • I AM THAT I AM: on Acts 8 - 6 years ago
You boasted of your pride to the Son: and falsely confessed his Name: and thought you and thy seed were me. Leaning on thine own understanding, ye glorified thyself and not GOD when reading this Scripture: He was led as a sheep to the slaughter: and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation?

Kristin Haney, Emersion would be the proper way to be baptized, Jesus was baptized in the Jordan river. I have heard pastors say that sprinkling is not proper. Please also read Acts 8:36.

Acts 22:16 is where the blood washed Saul s sins away. Acts 2:38 is where around 3000 had their sins remitted. Acts 8:29-39 is where the blood washed the eunoch s sins away. Matthew 26:28 and Acts 2:38 tie the blood to the water. Rev. 1:5 and Acts 22:16 tie the blood to the water. John3:1-5 tie Spirit to the water. 1st John 5:8 ties it ALL Together. 1st Peter 3:21 is right, BAPTISM SAVES. Peace

    Consolidation:

True faith produces action. God often tests our faith to prove it out, show it to be real (or not):

'..... now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith ..... may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.' - 1Pet1:6-7

By immersing ones self in the faith and declaring in your heart that Jesus whose blood was shed on the cross is the Son of God and only through Him, believers will be saved.

Does your Bible remove Acts 8:37? If so, you need to get back to the pure words of the LORD ( Psalm 12:6) in the KJB.

1 Corinthians 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. 1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ

Psalms 119:73 "Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments." Our God knows and understands all things; and His desire regarding us has always been, that as His children we should also. If there had been no sin in the beginning... but we never got a chance to learn how to be His children the way He had in mind when He created us, until JESUS!!!!

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. God will teach a man if he his willing in his Heart.

The apostles are all fired up! The Holy Spirit is at work. We can also be fired up for Christ if we have the Holy Spirit. Money cannot buy it. We need to come pleading for it after salvation and sanctification. The Ethiopian eunuch's story tells us to pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us when we are reading the Bible for proper interpretation.

Acts 8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. God sent Jesus to saved sinners like Saul. Praise the Lord.

disciple, its ONE GOD not 1 person. ONE LAST TIME Matt 28:19 "..baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" NOT NAMES! Darn Disciples must have disobeyed the command right from Jesus mouth when they didn't use THREE NAMES! Acts 19:5 " Acts 19:5 "...they were baptized in the NAME of the LORD JESUS." Acts 8:16 "..were baptized in the NAME of the Lord JESUS CHRIST."

"And God, which knows the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith." Why do so many try to separate the Christian of today from the Commonwealth of Israel and the Disciples in the beginning, and make things free, easy and automatic to us; that were given to them under strict conditions?

Mark read Acts 10 once the Gospel came to the Gentiles the Holy Ghost fell on them immediately.Without having to be baptized and the Apostles laying on hands. The same thing happens today when one receives JESUS He then baptizes them with the Holy Ghost and they receive Him immediately.

9:6 is the best verse to describe the singular name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost in Matthew 28:19 which leads us to Acts 2:38, Acts 8:12, Acts 10:47-48, Acts 19:1-5. Jesus is the Father of creation the Son of Redemption and the Holy Ghost of regeneration the one Lord of Deut 6:4 that Saul thought he was doing service to but said who art thou Lord, I am Jesus, Saul knew as a Jew there was only1

--- Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold --- but with the Precious Blood of Christ as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot. 1Peter 1:18-19 /--- He was led as a Sheep to the slaughter and like a Lamb dumb before His shearer--- Acts 8:32. / Thank you for being on here,it helps us believers to be stronger and more in His Word. Whosoever: Revelation 20:15. Forever.

The Bible itself proves one cannot be a 'lone' Christian. Acts 8:26-40 (God's spirit spoke to Philip). The eunuch admitted he needed someone to teach him. That's why God instituted the pastorate and disciples (saints), to be in that place, by prayer
