c. Daniel 5:14. Here you wrote, "That verse is speaking of Belshazzar who was the son of Nebuchadnezzar." I'm unsure if you are at the same verse here Jimbob. My Bible shows that Nebuchadnezzar had renamed Daniel as Belteshazzar (v12). So when Daniel (Belteshazzar) was brought before Nebuchadnezzar, the king told him, "I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee" (v14). My question was, why should God Who inspired His Word, have allowed such a thing to be written? Surely, God Who presumably inspired the KJV translators to write "the Son of God" should have also inspired them to write 'the Spirit of God' & not 'the spirit of the gods'? Therefore, in the Chaldean understanding of those passages, both 'son & spirit' refer to 'their gods' not THE God.
d. In Daniel 2:47, I don't believe that Nebuchadnezzar's belief in the ONE God changed at all. Here in the verse, he admits that Daniel's God was indeed the God of gods and Lord of kings. The king wasn't about to give up on his gods at all but had relented that the demonstrations of Daniel's God showed that this God was above his other gods. At the most, he probably now had a greater respect and fear for the God of Heaven & so gave special license to Daniel & his three companions to worship their God & punishment to those who speaks against Him ( Daniel 3:28,29).
Therefore, to believe that the KJB is a perfect translation direct from God can't be true. No translation ever is, whether of the Bible or any other work. An examination of any Bible translation work will always reveal errors from the original, as any translation from one language to another would. Indeed, God's Word IS preserved 'from this generation forever', but I would always go back to the original writings (whenever some dispute arises in the translations) to find & learn more from that preserved Word & not the translated Word. Every blessing.
Indeed GiGi. Even though, as I've learned, that in Hebrew, even a plural word doesn't always imply plurality, but the word must also be seen in context of the verse or passage. As in Genesis 1:1: some might maintain that 'Elohim' here must refer to other gods apart from Yahweh - but the context of the whole passage speaks about a single God Who created & spoke into being all things. So 'Elohim' is both a single & plural word of 'God, gods, judges, rulers, etc.'; then we can know who is being spoken about as we connect the word with the rest of the passage. Then in Daniel 3:25, alongwith the other references I gave in that Book, it indicates that in context with the beliefs & understandings of the Babylonians, they can't have normally envisaged a single Almighty God to the rejection of their own gods. But as we go through the Book of Daniel, we do see instances where Nebuchadnezzar relented, as far as acknowledging the greatness & power of Daniel's God against his own gods (e.g. Daniel 2:47; Daniel 3:26,28; Daniel 4:37; etc.).
And I saw your other post, about you leaving on your short holiday to Arizona. Have a safe & lovely time with your friend - I'm sure you would have wanted to have a longer time away. We have friends in Bullhead City, just across from the Nevada border - and we spent some time with them a while ago, before Covid struck, traveling together in that great State. My prayers are with you & your dear husband left on his own. And what a great opportunity you had to minister to that couple who missed their bus - may the Lord take them further in their journey in life, experiencing what great things God can do for them & in them. Blessings.
Hello Jimbob. If I might slip a spanner in the works here in regard to Daniel 3:25: would you consider Daniel 5:14 please? "I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee." My question to you is: does this verse trouble you some? Should not the LORD God have allowed "the SPIRIT of God" be written here in the KJB? Yet in Hebrew, it is 'ruah elahin' (spirit of (the) gods).
Likewise, in Daniel 3:25, "He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God"; in Hebrew, it is 'bar elahin' (son of (the) gods). And particularly in the Book of Daniel, this is not uncommon where Nebuchadnezzar & the Chaldeans are seen referring to 'gods' (i.e. the deities that he believed had divine manifestations): see Daniel 2:11,47; Daniel 4:8,9,18; Daniel 5:11,14.
Therefore, I submit that what we see here in Daniel, are the beliefs that the king had in respect to deities. Not only to the 'gods' but also to the 'spirit of the gods' & the 'son of the gods'. In these portions, these are not God's Words related to us, but Nebuchadnezzar's & they must reflect his belief & understanding. But when we get to Daniel 3:28, we read that Nebuchadnezzar at last realized that this wasn't a 'son of the gods', in the furnace, but that the One & True God (the God of Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego) had sent His angel to deliver these faithful men.
Now the question: was this angel indeed the pre-incarnate Jesus, or were the translators exercising some liberty to show that it was the Son of God? I believe that the NIV & other translations are correct here as both the Hebrew & the context of Nebuchadnezzar's beliefs & words portray what he saw in the furnace as 'one sent from the deities'. If we then choose to read that Jesus was present there & not an angel, then that belief must be a personal choice.
I may be different, but in my understanding of the Bible, I approach scripture simply and do not try to complicate things with preconceived ideas and let the Bible and the Holy Spirit do the interpretation. To me, a symbol will have a non-symbolic meaning.
A symbol represents something real, a real person, a real thing, or a historical event. When I read, I understand words in a literal sense first, then in a figurative or spiritual sense if the literal doesn't make sense.
Are the Christians now the Israel of God? Have the promises to Israel and the church merged into one common heritage? If so that brings up.
Will the promise of the land given to Abraham's seed, Isaac then Jacob be fulfilled? Isaiah 11:11-12Ezekiel 37:21-25Jeremiah 24:5-6Ezekiel 34:11-12Ezekiel 36:24-26Hosea 3:4-5Micah 4:6-7Zechariah 13:8-9
Will Jesus the Messiah return and reign on the earth, with a rod of iron? Isaiah 2:1-4Isaiah 11:1-4Daniel 2:44Daniel 7:14Zechariah 14:1-4Jeremiah 3:17Revelation 2:26-27Revelation 11:15Revelation 12:5Revelation 19:11-21.
Will there be a literal millennium during which Satan will not deceive the nations and Christ will reign on earth? Revelation 20:1-62 Timothy 2:11-12Isaiah 2:2-4Isaiah 11:5-16Isaiah 65:19-25Isaiah 51:4-5Zechariah 14:16-21Micah 4:1-4Psalms 46:7-11Matthew 19:28.
To me there are too many scriptures that are showing God has not replaced Israel with the Church. We see in Romans 11:24-27 a day when God will again turn to Israel, the day Jesus returns. Forgive me if some of the scriptures do not fit.
Did Jesus create the world and all things; YES and NO, the Father created all things TROUGH Jesus.
Jesus is the instrument in the hand of his God and Father.
Does Jesus know all things, NO, he says so himself.
Are we the instrument in Jesus hand; Yes, he says so himself.
Was Mosses an instrument in Jesus hand, Yes, and Mosses was given power over Pharaoh.
The Father commanded Jesus to have power and authority over creation, Jesus is a God over creation.
Jesus commands his brethren, as they are translated in to the kingdom, to have power and authority over certain aspects of his kingdom, he makes them gods to certain things, and they rule as a god, and have power as a god.
Exodus 7:1 And the Lord (and God of Moses), said unto Mosses, I (your Lord and God) have made thee a (lord) and god over Pharaoh.
Psalms 136:2 O give thanks unto the God of gods ....
Daniel 2:47 ....that your God is a God of gods .....
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in the Lord Jesus:
Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, though it not robbery to be equal with God.
Jesus is not the God and Father of ALL, but has ALL the power and authority of his God and Father, and when God his Father tells him what to DO, he does so with ALL power and authority of GOD.
We will do the same thing, in the kingdom, Jesus will give us ALL power and authority of certain things in the kingdom, and we will be a god over what put under us.
This will happen when Jesus resurrects all the dead back to their flesh and the saints judge the earth.
Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but here's a few of many references of a future Kingdom here on earth.
Revelation 5:10
And have made us kings and priests to our God;
AND WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH.
Psalm 2:6-8
"Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion." "I will declare the decree:
The LORD has said to Me,
'You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
Daniel 2:34-35
You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and FILLED THE WHOLE EARTH.
Zechariah 14:9-11.
Zechariah 14:16-19
And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Daniel 2:34 shows how the stone will crush all world empires (symbolized by the various metals in the human figure from Nebuchadnezzar's dream). This shows the stone as symbolic of Christ; THE Rock who will come back and vanquish His enemies and grind them to powder (see Malachi 4:3). Those who are stubborn will be broken suddenly; and without remedy. ( Prov. 6:15).
We are to have a broken and contrite spirit ( Psalm 51:17). That is "falling on the rock". Again; those who would not have Him rule over them will be killed ( Luke 19:27). Thence; our rebellion needs to be broken and our old selves made dead through a new heart replacing a stony one ( Ezekiel 36:26). This allows purification and refining through sanctification whereas a stone remains hardened and is thus crushed to powder. This will be the fate of an individual as well as a nation (or empire) as a whole that is left behind in the Tribulation ultimately; those "earth dwellers" used in Revelation 3:10 and apparently in 8 other verses in that book. That shows where the heart of men as well as their physical presence is if they are "not written in the Book of Life" ( Rev. 13:8) and the end result is to worship the final "Beast" who is an amalgamation of the previous 4 empires (Babylon; Greece; Persia and Rome). This also is shown in a prototype with the image in Daniel 3 which was commanded to be worshipped.
The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof. 1Corinthians 10:26, Psalms 24:1, Psalms 89:11, Psalms 50:12, Ephesians 1:10, Daniel 2:20-22, Genesis 1:28, Luke 9:1, 1Corinthians 15:23-28, John 19:5-11
Proverbs 29:2, Revelation 3:10,
Matthew 28:18, Acts 1:8, Matthew 18:18, Mark 16:17-19
Your first question; is there anywhere in the heavens or the earth that God cannot be, Psalm 139:7-10Proverbs 15:3Jeremiah 23:23-24Hebrews 4:13Isaiah 6:3. But is the universe, the earth, and everything on the earth a manifestation of God? NO that is Pantheism and is forbidden in the Bible as idol worship, if everything is God it can be worshiped.
His dwelling place is in heaven that is above heaven (universe) and earth, beyond and outside of the physical universe, 1 Kings 8:301 Kings 8:432 Chr. 20:6Psalm 11:4Daniel 2:28Matt. 5:16Matt. 6:9. God gave His only begotten Son to die for us, John 3:16 God by the Holy Spirit can dwell in us if we accept Jesus as our savior we are cleansed by His blood, Romans 8:9-111 Cor. 3:16
God can see everything and take action anywhere, Prov. 15:3Heb. 4:13 but God is everywhere at once? He is in that he is aware of everything in the physical universe both past, present, and future, and he can turn his attention to anyone or anything at any time.
Has anyone seen God? Moses came the closest, God showed him His backside, Exodus 33:12-23. No man in the flesh can see God's face and live, John 1:18John 4:121 Tim. 6:16. We will see His face after the resurrection in our immortal and incorruptible body, Rev 22:4.
How can one Know that God exists? The Bible: He has revealed things to us, and the evidence is convincing if anyone is willing to consider the evidence. History also confirms many things that were prophesied in the Bible long before they happened. The word of God is the truth, and the Holy Spirit will reveal it to those with an open mind and open heart who honestly want the truth.
This is my understanding in love may it help, search and pray for yours.
My understanding, Jesus coming, the Messiah/Christ was not a secret, Daniel 9:25 prophesied when He would come. Jesus came to fulfill the prophets and the law, and when Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus, and Jesus was filled without measure, John 3:34.
John the Baptist proclaimed it, John 1:34 and His disciples did as well, John 1:41 Jesus told the woman at the well He was the Messiah, John 25:25-26 and Martha John 11:27. It was confirmed by all the miracles Jesus did by the Spirit of God, Matt. 12:28 the kingdom of God has come, but the death and resurrection were, at that time a secret/mystery, Rom. 11:25.
The kingdom of God has come, John said it was at hand, Matt. 3:1-2. After John was put in prison Jesus came preaching Mark 1:14-15. The mystery of the kingdom; they were looking for the stone to crush Rome and the kingdom would be set up then Daniel 2:44, but it was like the parables of the mustard seed and the yeast Matt. 13, increasing even today until the crushing blow at Jesus second coming.
The disciples knew Jesus was the Messiah/Christ, so I am sure that was part of their preaching, but Jesus' death and resurrection were hidden even from the disciples Luke 9:45. We see how they fled when Jesus was arrested, Matt. 26:56, and they did not believe He resurrected Mark 16:10-11Luke 23:10-11 it was hidden from them for if Satan had known the results, he would have tried to stop it.
Jesus spoke mainly to the Pharisees and Sadducees in parables to fulfill the prophecy, Matt. 13:10-15Mark 4:10-13Luke 8:10. The mystery was not revealed until after Jesus was resurrected as Jesus told them the Holy Spirit would bring remembrance and teaching to them John 14:26John 16:3-4Romans 11:25Romans 16:25 the promise to Abraham Genesis 17:4-7 and that seed was Jesus the Messiah/Christ.
This is my understanding may someone else have another, pray and study for your understanding.
Chris gave a good answer, I'd like to add to the discussion. Please note the verse right before, Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 29:10, sometimes we want GOD to change our situations "right now", sometimes HE does, but I believe this promise, is for GOD's people when we need the encouragement for the troubled times & endurance in longer seasons. Notice in Daniel, he & his companions had went through many difficult moments but GOD in miraculous ways delivered them, protected them & even encouraged them. I believe it was after Daniel was thrown in the lions den that he fasted & humbly prayed about the promise made in Jeremiah 29:10,11, Daniel 9:1,2,3, still waiting on that promise of 70 years,
note Daniel 6:1,2,3, (for why I place the timing, seemingly after lions den) the noted scriptures referring to about Daniel's encouragement, & companions, some say "the greater the trial the greater the miraculous": Daniel 1:8,9,17, Daniel 2:12,13,17,23 Daniel 3:12-27, Daniel 4:19,24,25, Daniel 5, Daniel 6:7,10,16,22,28, Daniel 9:23, Daniel 10:11,12,18, Daniel 11:1,
Luke 10:19, there are moments that are painful but when we look at Salvation, the pruning, witness to strengthen the Body of Believers, then we realize it didn't "hurt us".
I hope these scriptures give you strength & hope= 1Peter 4:12,13, 2Corinthians 1:3-7, John 15:1-2, 1Corinthians 4:5, 2Corinthians 3:2, Zechariah 13:9, Malachi 3:3, 2Timothy 2:10, Psalms 30:5,
Endure even undue trials= 2Timothy 2:3, 2Timothy 4:5, remember Timothy was with Paul in ministry during persecution. 1Peter 2:19, Mark 13:13, James 5:10,11,
The Chaldeans were people that inhabited the wider Mesopotamia region, mainly in todays Irak. like the Babylonians. Their language was called Chaldean or Aramaic.
In chapter 1: 4, it says that they should teach the language of the chaldeans. And aso in chapter 2:2, it says the king commanded the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the king his dreams. So i want to know if the Chaldeans are people or a language.
Hello, I couldn't find Jaszer but Jasher is mentioned in 2Samuel 1:18, & Joshua 10:13 as a book recording those events also.
If you're referring to the book you were reading from when you asked the question, (the website sited) Prayer of Azariah, = Azariah seems to be Daniel 1:6,7,11,19, Daniel 2:17, Daniel 3:12-30, reminder names changed in Daniel 1:6,7,
Also appears to be one returning to help rebuild the wall: Nehemiah 3:24, Nehemiah 7:7, Nehemiah 8:7, also seemingly helping people understand GOD's laws,
You quoted 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 and explained it as this implies that there is going to be a second church doctrine not like the early churche's one which, the latter, is not quite the truth. But look at verse 12 "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." What does the expression "face to face" mean? It means we will see God face to face. So these verses about the perfect to come are meant for the time we will eventually enter Heaven and see God face to face and get to know Him, know about Heavenly things etc, not partly as we know those now. Prophesies, tongues etc will cease, no reason for these to exist any more, but love will remain, it is the only thing from this world which will accompany us in Heaven.
In addition to the above please read how apostle Paul describes the church to Timothy, the church in his time. 1 Timothy 3:14-15 "These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the PILLAR AND GROUND THE TRUTH." That early church!
Now lets go to that statue in Daniel's book. Please read verses Daniel 2:36-45. It is obvious that talks about the kingdoms/countries that will rule the world untill the Kingdom of God finally comes. Daniel tells the king what is going to happen after him, see verse 29. The statue starts with Nebuchadnezzar's rule and ends with the last kingdom on earth. It goes from Babylon to ... Rome to the country of antichrist omitting the ones in between because those 2000 years are the times of the gentiles.
I still do not get where it states about a second church true doctrine. Paul says that christians in the future will believe what is nice to their ears ( 2 Timothy 4:3-4), which means that false beliefs amongst us in the future are to come/came.
Revelation 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast in to the sea, and a THIRD PART of the sea became blood.
Revelation 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters (seas) which thou sawest, where the whore setteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Daniel 2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of a mountain made without hands ....
Hebrews 12:22 But you are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, and unto a company of innumerable angels.
Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
Psalms 104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire.
Exodus 7:17 Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shall know that I am the LORD, Behold, I will smite with the rod that is in thine hand the waters (peoples, nations) that are in the river, and they shall turn into blood.
In Daniel's Book ( Daniel 2:31-45) the last kingdom in earth's history that will rule on earth is described:
V40 - And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
V41 - And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.
V42 - And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.
V43 - And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
Assuming that we live at the very end of this world, what do you think, which modern nation/country looks like that kingdom?
My opinion, as well as many christians' over here, is that it looks like the European Union, what do you think about it?
Sister GiGi, every Word God has ever spoken WILL COME TO PASS.
This is why it is SO IMPORTANT to understand, and believe, MOSSES and THE PROPHETS.
The Spirit of Christ prophesied that ONLY ONE THIRD (vessels of honour) of creation would be CALLED in this age of GRACE (the DAY OF THE LORD).
Ezekiel 5:1 .....then take three balances and weigh, and DIVIDE the hair ....( Revelation 6:5-6)
Ezekiel 5:2 Thou shall burn the THIRD PART in the midst of the city ....(you are the new Jerusalem of God)
Ezekiel 5:3 Thou shall also take thereof a FEW IN NUMBER, and bind them in thy skirts ( Psalms 133:2).
Ezekiel 5:4 Then take of them (the few) and cast them into the FIRE ( Malachi 3:2-3), and burn them (the few) in the FIRE; for thereof (the few) shall a FIRE ( Psalms 104:4) COME FORTH unto the House of Israel (you are the TRUE house of Israel).
Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob (Jacob was the shadow; Christ is the TRUE) SHALL BE A FIRE, and the house of Joseph (Joseph was the shadow; Christ is the TRUE) shall be a flame, and the house of ESAU for stubble ..
Obadiah 1:21 And saviours shall come upon Mount Zion, to judge the mount of ESAU; and the KINGDOM (of GOD)(CHRIST IN YOU) shall be the Lord's.
Zechariah 13:09 And I WILL bring the THIRD PART THROUGH THE FIRE ..
Revelation 8:7 ... and there followed HAIL and FIRE .....
Isaiah 28:2 Behold, the Lord (the Father ) hath a strong and might one (CHRIST), which as a tempest of HAIL and a destroying storm ....
Isaiah 28:17 ..and the HAIL shall sweep away the refuge of lies ..
Revelation 8:8 ...as it were a great mountain BURNING WITH FIRE ...
Daniel 2:35 ...and the stone (CHRIST) that smote THE IMAGE (of the beast)( Revelation 13:15) became a great mountain (Mount Zion) ...
Revelation 9:18 By these three was a THIRD PART of man killed, by the FIRE, and by the SMOKE, and by the BRIMSTONE, WHICH ISSUED of there MOUTH.
The LAKE OF FIRE and BRIMSTONE comes out of the MOUTH, THE FIRE AND BRIMSTONE ARE THE WORD'S OF GOD.
ARE THERE PROPHECIES ABOUT CREATION BECOMING ONE WITH GOD
Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not MOSES and the PROPHETS, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed him (Paul) a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the KINGDOM OF GOD, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of THE LAW OF MOSES, and out of THE PROPHETS, from morning till evening.
Acts 28:24 And some BELIEVED the things that were spoken and some BELIEVED NOT.
Prophecy spoken by Daniel.
Daniel 2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, BROKEN TO PIECES together, and become like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors, and the wind carried them away, and no place was found for them: and THE STONE (CHRIST) that smote the IMAGE became a GREAT MOUNTAIN, AND FILLED THE WHOLE EARTH.
Psalms 2:8 Ask of me and I will GIVE THEE the heathen for thy inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psalms 2:9 Thou shall BREAK THEM with a rod of iron, thou shall DASH THEM IN PIECES as a potter's vessel.
Psalms 22:27 ALL the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.
Psalms 22:29 .....and all they that go down to the dust shall bow before thee ....
God is Wonderful to those who Seek - In Reply on John 5 - 4 years ago
In a reference Bible there are some explanation to that passage. I'll list them:
Isaiah 41:4, 6
Daniel 7:13, 10:5, 7:9
Daniel 2:18
Revelation 19:12-16
Alpha- beginning
Omega- end
I didn't see it for a long time, but one day I was reading Genesis 1:1 in Hebrew. It said, "In Beginning".
My brain exploded.
First Day, God created TIME for earth. God exists outside of time and inside of time. That is how He sees us "alpha" and "omega". He knows who will and who will not receive the Salvation He has prepared for us.
PRAYER can change things or how we can accept things. The woman who tithed the widows mite, impressed Jesus.
All of our days are recorded in a Book. Which means unborn children are known by God. He called prophets from the womb.
Time is for weather, seasons, plant, harvest, animals mate, give birth; eggs to be hatched. It's huge just thinking about all the things that depend on time.
Time is the one thing scientists couldn't find formulas of its origins. They have carbon dating, bigger space projects. No one is going to publish a Formula for Time.
Genesis isn't the only place in the Bible where it speaks of Gods creation. They don't want to give God credit for it.
"They" thought we'd understand it better if they added THE: in the beginning. Other stuff-God doesn't step in and stop car wrecks. But if we pray, we'll survive with just a little damage. He honors our free will.
I think alpha and Omaha are Greek words.
God has spread gold nuggets of revelation all through the Bible. Just laying there. If we read too fast, we will race past it.
I was reading Ezekiel 37 about the bones. I know it's Israel. (I had dry bones in my life). I skimmed past where God says prophesy UPON these bones.
The Holy Spirit tells me to prophesy. I said aloud the scriptures. Then he said, you can prophesy over YOUR dry bones!
I'm scared to say THUS saith THE LORD. I cower while I'm thinking of dead things in my life.
Daniel 1:1-3, as promised in Jeremiah, & other Old Testament books, if Israel didn't turn from : Exodus 22:22, Jeremiah 7:6, Jeremiah 23:3, Zechariah 7:10-14, Isaiah 1:17, warned & warned & warned by GOD through HIS prophets, Malachi 3:5, 2Kings 20:17-18, promised it would happen. Jeremiah 52:26-34,
Daniel 1:4, the children taken capacity,
Daniel 1:5-16, Leviticus, Deuteronomy, & some of Exodus covers the foods that Jewish children were by GOD's Laws not suppose to eat, it was wisdom
Daniel 1:17-21 stood before the king, seems to say they stood by the king in service & advisers.
Daniel 2,
1st let's look at threat Daniel 2:5, if he had made all the young boys eunuchs & Jeremiah 52, would have caused fear.
Daniel 2:1-13, just like Daniel 1:20, shows that king was seeking every type of teaching but they all fail
Daniel 2:14-24, GOD ALMIGHTY is Awesome & amazing!! Psalms 44:22,
Daniel 2:25-26, sad reminder that Daniel was of the captives of Judah, also the king had changed his name. (significantly there are Babylonian records with that name so it's interesting it's noted in Bible)
Daniel 2:27-30 :to GOD be the Glory
Daniel 2:31-45 the dream of the king & interpretation , with much symbolism
Daniel 2:46,48, different later, Daniel tells that king's son, no: Daniel 5:17,
Daniel 2:47 Glory to GOD

DANIEL 2 and NEBUCHADNEZZAR - In Reply on Daniel 2 - 4 years ago
Daniel said the king's dream was about a giant statue that was destroyed by a stone cut out of a mountain. The statue represented the kingdoms of the earth. The stone cut out of the mountain represented the kingdom of God that would fill the earth.
This comes to pass, and at the end of his punishment, Nebuchadnezzar praises God. Daniel's role is to interpret the dream for the king. The message of the story is that all earthly power, including that of kings, is subordinate to the power of God.
Daniel interprets Nebuchadnezzar's dream. Nebuchadnezzar is humbled twice by God: when he tries to punish the Israelites for refusing to worship an idol and when God punishes him with seven years of madness.
The nondescript person here uttering a complaint sounds much like the author of Lamentations mourning over the situation during the Babylonian invasion. There is great similarity also to Job during his sufferings. There perhaps is the greatest meaning in the time when Christ returns (v.13). Daniel states that there are set times; and even Antichrist can't change times and delay Christ's return and victory over him ( Daniel 2:21). Once again; as in earlier Psalms the heathen shall fear the name of the Lord (v. 15). The prisoners will be set free ( Isaiah 51:14) as v. 20 indicates; and during the Millennium God looks down from heaven (heavenly Jerusalem) in v. 19. Eventually, the earth shall perish and be changed (v. 20) at the end of the period; and at the time of the Great White Throne judgment. ( Rev. 20:11). Then there shall be eternal glorified saints continuing forever (v. 28). This could indicate those already in redeemed bodies from the church age; as well as those natural men that live physically with their descendants (seed) during the 1000 years; who live throughout that period and are translated into eternity.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-23, Act 1:7-11, Daniel 2:20-22,
Psalms 16:7, Matthew 21:31-41, Daniel 7:23-27, 2 Timothy 3:1-7, Isaiah 33:6, Jeremiah 8:7, Ezekiel 12:27, Daniel 7:2-27, Daniel 9:2-27, Daniel 11:2-45 -continues- Daniel 12:1-4, Luke 21:5-36, Revelation, the whole book,
Blessings.
Isaiah 11:11-12 Ezekiel 37:21-25 Jeremiah 24:5-6 Ezekiel 34:11-12 Ezekiel 36:24-26 Hosea 3:4-5 Micah 4:6-7 Zechariah 13:8-9
Will Jesus the Messiah return and reign on the earth, with a rod of iron? Isaiah 2:1-4 Isaiah 11:1-4 Daniel 2:44 Daniel 7:14 Zechariah 14:1-4 Jeremiah 3:17 Revelation 2:26-27 Revelation 11:15 Revelation 12:5 Revelation 19:11-21.
Will there be a literal millennium during which Satan will not deceive the nations and Christ will reign on earth? Revelation 20:1-6 2 Timothy 2:11-12 Isaiah 2:2-4 Isaiah 11:5-16 Isaiah 65:19-25 Isaiah 51:4-5 Zechariah 14:16-21 Micah 4:1-4 Psalms 46:7-11 Matthew 19:28.
To me there are too many scriptures that are showing God has not replaced Israel with the Church. We see in Romans 11:24-27 a day when God will again turn to Israel, the day Jesus returns. Forgive me if some of the scriptures do not fit.
God bless,

Does Jesus have a GOD?
Yes he does, he says so himself.
Is Jesus a God, Yes he says so himself,
In Jesus the Father; No, he says so himself.
God Bless You.
Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but here's a few of many references of a future Kingdom here on earth.

Goodnight.
Proverbs 29:2, Revelation 3:10,
Matthew 28:18, Acts 1:8, Matthew 18:18, Mark 16:17-19
I will give my understanding,
Your first question; is there anywhere in the heavens or the earth that God cannot be, Psalm 139:7-10 Proverbs 15:3 Jeremiah 23:23-24 Hebrews 4:13 Isaiah 6:3. But is the universe, the earth, and everything on the earth a manifestation of God? NO that is Pantheism and is forbidden in the Bible as idol worship, if everything is God it can be worshiped.
His dwelling place is in heaven that is above heaven (universe) and earth, beyond and outside of the physical universe, 1 Kings 8:30 1 Kings 8:43 2 Chr. 20:6 Psalm 11:4 Daniel 2:28 Matt. 5:16 Matt. 6:9. God gave His only begotten Son to die for us, John 3:16 God by the Holy Spirit can dwell in us if we accept Jesus as our savior we are cleansed by His blood, Romans 8:9-11 1 Cor. 3:16
God can see everything and take action anywhere, Prov. 15:3 Heb. 4:13 but God is everywhere at once? He is in that he is aware of everything in the physical universe both past, present, and future, and he can turn his attention to anyone or anything at any time.
Has anyone seen God? Moses came the closest, God showed him His backside, Exodus 33:12-23. No man in the flesh can see God's face and live, John 1:18 John 4:12 1 Tim.
God bless,
RLW
26:56, and they did not believe He resurrected Mark 16:10-11 Luke 23:10-11 it was hidden from them for if Satan had known the results, he would have tried to stop it.
Jesus spoke mainly to the Pharisees and Sadducees in parables to fulfill the prophecy, Matt. 13:10-15 Mark 4:10-13 Luke 8:10. The mystery was not revealed until after Jesus was resurrected as Jesus told them the Holy Spirit would bring remembrance and teaching to them John 14:26 John 16:3-4 Romans 11:25 Romans 16:25 the promise to Abraham Genesis 17:4-7 and that seed was Jesus the Messiah/Christ.
This is my understanding may someone else have another, pray and study for your understanding.
God bless,
RLW
I hope these scriptures give you strength & hope= 1Peter 4:12,13, 2Corinthians 1:3-7, John 15:1-2, 1Corinthians 4:5, 2Corinthians 3:2, Zechariah 13:9, Malachi 3:3, 2Timothy 2:10, Psalms 30:5,
In correction= Isaiah 48:10,11, Malachi 3:2, Proverbs 3:11-35, Hebrews 12:7, 2Thessalonians 1:4,
Endure even undue trials= 2Timothy 2:3, 2Timothy 4:5, remember Timothy was with Paul in ministry during persecution. 1Peter 2:19, Mark 13:13, James 5:10,11,
James 5:13-18, 2Chronicles 7:14,
Hopefully these are helpful & encouraging
Hello, I couldn't find Jaszer but Jasher is mentioned in 2Samuel 1:18, & Joshua 10:13 as a book recording those events also.
If you're referring to the book you were reading from when you asked the question, (the website sited) Prayer of Azariah, = Azariah seems to be Daniel 1:6,7,11,19, Daniel 2:17, Daniel 3:12-30, reminder names changed in Daniel 1:6,7,
Also appears to be one returning to help rebuild the wall: Nehemiah 3:24, Nehemiah 7:7, Nehemiah 8:7, also seemingly helping people understand GOD's laws,
Hopefully these are helpful
End for now...

Man DOES NOT have free will.
Man was made to be a BODY; or a vessel.
Vessels, or bodies, have NO LIFE.
Bodies, or vessels, were made to HOLD the LIFE of GOD.
God is Spirit.
Spirit cannot be seen.
God created a BODY; Jesus Christ, that can be seen.
The body of Christ HOLDS the Life of the FATHER.
Christ came, as sinful flesh, and sinful flesh DIED on the cross, three days latter the Father resurrected, HIS (the father's) BODY, Christ.

How powerful is that light, there are from the same source?
That light is TRUTH.
That light is LIFE.
Flesh and blood CANNOT inherit the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God, is a kingdom of gods, IN THE AGE TO COME. We are being brought to TRUTH (to Christ) in this AGE of GRACE.

This is why it is SO IMPORTANT to understand, and believe, MOSSES and THE PROPHETS.
The Spirit of Christ prophesied that ONLY ONE THIRD (vessels of honour) of creation would be CALLED in this age of GRACE (the DAY OF THE LORD).

God Bless You this PASSOVER.
Daniel 9:2, searching the prophetic timelines,
Other years mysteries: Isaiah 61:2, Isaiah 63:4, Jeremiah 11:23, Jeremiah 17:8, Jeremiah 23:12, Jeremiah 48:44, Jeremiah 51:46, Ezekiel 46:17, Luke 4:19, Luke 13:8, Revelation 9:15, Daniel 11:6,
Sometimes in prophetic dreams things symbolized days & years,

Daniel 2:49, interesting note of favor also seen in chapter 1,
Daniel 3, looks like the king misunderstood or took that "gold" interpretation out of context from symbolic "golden head" from dream Daniel 2:31,32,38,
Daniel 3:6 threats again, & rage Daniel 3:13,19,20,21,22,23
Daniel 3:8,12,16,17,18 just like Daniel 1, didn't want to turn from GOD's Laws
Daniel 3:24-27 GOD's amazing deliverance
Daniel 3:28 to GOD be Glory
Yet threats again of brutal violence Daniel 3:29,
Daniel 3:30 promotion again, through obedience to GOD
Daniel 4, told through that king when GOD humbled him,
Daniel 4:18,19, used name he gave Daniel
This comes to pass, and at the end of his punishment, Nebuchadnezzar praises God. Daniel's role is to interpret the dream for the king. The message of the story is that all earthly power, including that of kings, is subordinate to the power of God.
Daniel interprets Nebuchadnezzar's dream. Nebuchadnezzar is humbled twice by God: when he tries to punish the Israelites for refusing to worship an idol and when God punishes him with seven years of madness.
