In The Book of Exodus, God parted the Red Sea long enough for Moses-led Israelites.

I don't agree with the answer about the number of chariots that Pharaoh took to pursue the Israelites. Surely 600 is mentioned, but so are and all the chariots in Egypt. I believe there were more than 600. How many more the number is not given. Maybe the 600 were for war and all the rest were for travel or work.??? Look at 14:7 again and you should see the distinction. Special and normal.

Moses for the Israelites, he was their savior. Moses also represented our Lord Jesus Christ for our present time, he saves us from our sins, both Moses and our Lord Jesus save those who believe in them, Egypt kept the Israelites as slaves through Pharaoh, the devil keep us as slaves through our sins. We must repent, so that we may be saved. Repentance is the dry land of the red sea. Today repent.

This chapter taught me: "Though fear be upon my flesh (in 2018) by Faith I shall trust in Jehovah". WOW,WOW,WOW!

Verse 5~Pharaoh and the Egyptians were truly haughty to the core. They quickly forgot the power of Jehovah God and they stubbornly went to capture the Israelites.

"And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen." I am amazed at the boundless power of God in His care for us; and the relentless stupidity of the wicked!

Verses 19,20~Jehovah God used his angel, most likely Jesus, to guide his people by day and night.

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

My memory, somewhat challenged, I freely admit, tells me I either read or heard that chariots and parts thereof have been found in the Red Sea. Any comment on that anybody?

I am glad Moses understand God, what he was doing for his people. By any stretch of the imagination this is one of the greatest chapters in the bible. It was a battle between God and the enemy and God prevailed teaching man we can trust him when the situations seems totally lost and hope less. Good encouragement when we have our backs to the wall.

verse 23... --- the Egyptians you see shall be no more;---------------- in life, one canfa be faced with any situation but if he/she is trusting the Lord, it shall come to pass and peace of the Lord will take over

Unleavened bread has no yeast ,baking powder, or anything to make the dough rise . It is a flat bread.
Leavened bread has ingredients to make the dough rise.

What happen to Pharaoh himself, this is to remind us that God is the greatest of all power there is.

Verse27 the sea returned to it's strength,in other words,everything God created has his strength impacted on it.This is glorious.God is powerful.

Raymond- I wondered this question myself and had to research. Leaven is a raising agent basically yeast. The Hebrews left Egypt in haste so quickly that they didn't have time to finish the bread ie- adding the yeast. So on Passover they eat unleavened no yeast bread in memorance of that time.

I feel so good when i read this bible verse for i know i just have to stay still and trust in the lord for he will fight for me just stay calm and give it to him i live by this verse it gives me strength to make it through each day.I LOVE YOU JESUS...AMEN

It is so heart warming to know that whatever you go through God is there... the storms you see today you shall see them no more. Our God is so much faithful as He has said in His word that He's not a man He will never tell a lie what he has promised stands

The division of the water is the breath that come out from the nose of God

This is a clear proved that God is a miracle working God and He can't leaves his people comfortless.lam a living withness.

I'm facing the hardship, betrayals, accusation, challenges, chasing away from my office but today God reveals this verse to me to preach at one o'clock service at work, it strengthen my heart.

It gives hope to christians in their spiritual journey I Love the whole chapter.

Exodus 14 14 have really fight so many battles for me. The understanding are so deep.
