The lesson that I learned in this passage is that we Christians must believe and fear GOd for what He says are absolute in accordance to His own time and plan...trust Him for your plans will never be pushed through if it is not in God 's design for your life pardon for some wrong grammar
it is through Christ the entire law is fulfilled ,by his Blood we are forgiven of all sins. Which the law could never do by any means because it was depending on your right doing which is impossible since we were all sinners so hence were all condemned to death ,but thankfully Jesus came in human flesh the Son of God and He was the only one who could fulfil it so that though Him we are Justified from all thinks and get to inherit all His blessings that we did not deserve by any means , the law was introduced to bring man to the end of himself . Also Remember the Law was what man brought on himself but was not what God wanted ,His main purpose is Grace that continued from our loving saviour Jesus Christ. READ Exodus 19:8 .
God 's will is for us to prosper and keep in good health we have to trust and obey and do his perfect will in our every day lives,which will cause us to sin less and less eventually leading to perfection.

This is what really made God angery because the people was telling God that they didn't want to have to depend on him for anything. Give them some rules to follow...the 10 commandments were given in the very next chapter.. laws that only one man could ever keep.
After reading this scripture and genesis about the fall of mankind it should remind us as believers that God always had us in the forefront of his mind b/c he knew the ending as well as the beginning , that Jesus is the perfect and redemptive plan to reconcile us back to God.
Grace is not a ticket to sin. Grace is the New Testament or grace covenant. What, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, God forbid. In Ephesians 2, the works that are spoken of are the works of the Law (Old Testament); offering goats and bulls and the keeping of holy days, etc.. Jesus said unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Scribes and the Pharisee’s (Old Testament), you shall in no wise inter into the kingdom of God. Romans 12, I beseech you brethren that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto the lord which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (New Testament). Galatians: Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap. If ye sow unto the flesh ye shall of the flesh reap corruption. But if ye sow unto the spirit, ye shall of the spirit reap eternal life, (New Testament). Don't let someone fool into the broad and easy way with his/her greasy Grace doctrine. Jesus said sell all you have, deny yourself and come follow me.
Since John 17:3, Philippians 3:8-10, Matthew 7:21-23, verse 9 covered by a thick cloud, Jeremiah 29:13 that the people might hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever. John 6:17-8; 8:12. Jesus marveled in Matthew 8:10. Is there a greater marvel elsewhere? Is the only disease (BELEVING A LIE) caused by either Deception, or Pride. 1 Corinthians 4:7 there is only One God Who cannot lie, Hebrews 13:8. Who says there are no absolutes? The statement is an absolute, humble unselfish FATHER already knows everything, and is the answer, yet humanity is so wrapped up in their shallow little plans they miss the mark. His Glory Revelation 4:11, Galatians 2:20-21, Genesis 15:1, Philippians 3:12 Came here to understand this veiled verse 19:13 but got sidetracked. Sound unfamiliar 2 Corinthians 3:18, Ephesians 4:13.
@Joyce this is a good question that you have asked, and we have to keep the context of what this passage is about, which is Moses receiving the Law. God has been carrying them on eagle’s wings, which speaks of His grace. Now they told Moses all that God has said we will do. The law did not allow the people to touch the mount of Sinai or to gaze at the Lord lest they die. So God has told Moses to consecrate the people until the third day is complete. The priests were to sanctify themselves, lest the Lord would break upon them. We are told in Hebrews 12 to be at peace with all men, and follow holiness, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord. We are waiting to hear the trumpet sound for Jesus to come, and the dead in Christ will be raised first, then those of us who are alive, will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. Then we will be caught up in the clouds to be with the Lord. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law, and we must occupy, until Jesus comes for us.
We have seen how the Lord bare them on eagles wings. This speaks of the grace of God, for we are saved by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus, and not of works, less any man should boast.
In John chapter one is the Word being present from (prior) to Gods creation of man kind and the (Word) being the Messiah, the Savior of (all) man kind, His name is Jesus, the son of the (only) living God &, because as we read of Moses & the people like unto (ourselves) at times failed to remain inward- clean...God prepared a way for us to come to him, ask him (Jehovah, God, Abba, by way of earnest prayer through the living (Word) being: Jesus Christ, the son of God & Mary (God's own chosen) virgin to; please forgive & help us, along His way. And, this is very much needed (Every) day & night of one's life here in the world, away from (Home) in the new, Heaven.
Humbleness is a must with God. After all the only life source there is, is God. Without God no life. That means every breath you take, every thing you eat and simply every day you get to live is a gift from God. This should make it easier to understand that all Gods commandments are to teach us to inter into eternal life. But man likes to make himself equal with and even superior to God. We even have the gall to tell God he is unjust in his judgments. But the truth is without him we are just dust, from dust we came and to dust we'll return without God. He loves us so much he gave us free will. We can sin against his commandments and die if we want to. Or we can humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and live. So it is you and I that decides whether we live or die. Humble ourselves and obey Gods commandments to life. Or be high minded in our own selves defy and deny God and die. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
God is so careful with what he does to us,like in verse 12 & 13 God tells Moses & the people to sanctify themselves so that they dont die when they come to God,he repeats it in cerse 21.Sometimes we think we are well but God sees our inside,so he ll repeat somethings to us.Moses wanted to speak for the people in verse 23 saying they are clean & will not touch the mountain but God knew their hearts so he sent Moses away in verse 24 saying go away and tell them again lest they come and disobey me and many of them die.God doesnt want us to die people.
