@Lu2677 then how do you explain Exodus 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. God does not lie this is what he spoke to Moses.
I absolutely love this scriptural experience. It gives me hope and its confirmation that I too, along with anyone of us could experience this as Moses did, and see the Glory of our God
Verse 19 is exceedingly instructive. "..and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy." We pray that God should look onto us with His mercy and grace.
I love this chapter and I believe that it refers to when Moses and Elias is talking with Jesus on mount transfiguration.God said that Moses couldn't see him and live but there was a rock.that rock is Christ.
V.23 - The Lord brought it back to me; I did know the meaning, but had forgotten. The 'face' of God is - the future. If Moses or we could see into the future - all the wars, famine, genocide, floods, famines, etc., - the enormity of it would kill us. His back parts we can see because they have already happened. Seeing the glory of the Lord is what He has done and will do. cont.
Everything God does - has a point. He didn't do v. 22 just to pass by Moses. In v. 23 God's 'back parts' was what He had done - before Moses, in the wa-a-ay distant past - that He wanted Moses to write down - starting the O.T. There was more of a point to vs. 22 than just 'passing by', but I don't know what it was; somebody ..... ?
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at God's right hand. Look! I can see heaven thrown open, he said, and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God. Acts 7:55, 56
Exodus 33:20¦But he (God) added: You cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live. Yet we saw the face of our dear Savior Jesus Almighty
God is so powerful he know how to bless us on any situation. He is always with us and guide us in everything we do. whatever turbulence comes in our lives all the battles belongs to Jesus. Thanks to his precious blood that shed for us. Amen
Paul also talked about women not adorning themselves in 1Timothy 2:9 as Peter said but the problem with Christians of todays is the inability to maintain God 's word just as it is said but read their own meanings into it to suit their lustful desires. Putting on those things assumes pride and make us look like idols before God. We are the temple of God and what relationship has the temple of God with idols. Read Genesis 35:1-5 and Exodus 33:1-5. Do your research and you will find out that the adornment of gold and silver is associated with idol worship everywhere in the world. God created all those things but they have defiled by the ignorance of men. Just obey and stay holy because without holiness no one shall see God Heb 12:14. Amen
As I was going through my life trials I had thought of thee last verse,I envisioned an angel turned back not showing his face, wow,it was Jesus,he is always there for his children of god! Godbless us in our trials and truth!! I love him so much..
I 'm thinking of what Elijah says, " The Lord is slow to anger but nerciful kind and gracious if we repent of all evils ". Here the Lord offers peace after the people He saved turn against him worship false idols. As the Father of the prodigal son still had love for him even after what he did so the Lord Loves the sinner when he asks forgiveness. To be in the presence of God is not far fetch for when we submit our will and our loves to God, The Lord stands steadfast in His love for us. To know God is to Yield to His Will. This is not far fetched as the Lord provide His Grace and Love to us in the worst of times. I 'm witness to God 's Grace which I am undeserved of Yet I 'm still allowed to receive it by Jesus ' death I 'm healed and saved and given the "rest ". But Thanks be to God who giveth us the Victory through Our Lord Jesus Christ.

I take comfort knowing that God will never leave us, nor will he forsake us. God is Omni Present in my life. Seek the Word of God and you will have rest. I serve a mighty God. To God be the glory and honor.
