When god made that promise to abraham about multiplication he swore by his very self meaning he was gonna multiply his very self in humanity via the seed of christ which is the living word, thats y jesus is saying to whom the word/seed came it made them gods and that which is born of the spirit is spirit as god is spirit which is the h.g.the promise child ( our new innerman has to be born in us ) which is the h.g. th promise child that good seed is his word his breath thats y jesus refers to the h.g. as the promise he is the multiplcation of god in us sinners th world etc.jesus cd not refer to the h.g. as the promise if he were not the multiplication of god. seeds always results in a birth.

Genesis 22 is a controversial passage in the Bible as it is a representation of the savagery of God. The undeniable request of Abraham contradicts the ideals of God. First, the concept of child-sacrifice later abhorred by God is promoted in this passage. Also, the violation of God's covenant to expand the Israelites through Isaac is obviously threatened. How can God ask contradictory things?

IS THAT PROMISE SEED AND CHRIST IS THE FATHER OF THE H.G SIMPLY B/C HE IS TH SON THAT SOWS THAT SEED N OUR HEARTS GBU.

Abraham knew that his son would not die, it clearly states "And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you." I and the lad, will go yonder and worship, and come again to you, That part there means that he trusted in the lord and knew his heavenly father wouldn't accept his offering.

The nation of israel was the direct result of the Promise God made to Abraham via his seed etc,But the multiplication of Christ via his seed the word sown in humanity will result in the Israel of God But the seed of abraham were not the real children of PROMISE ITS CHRIST AND HIS SEED THAT ARE THE REAL CHILDREN OF PROMISE WHICH ARE SPIRITS TH H,G. MANY, THATS Y HE REFERS TO THE H,G AS THE PROMISE.

the Godhead is simply Father Son n Granson, Abraham was just a type of GOD THE FATHER THAT WANTED A POSTERITY GRANSONS THAT WD BE AS THE SAND OF THE SEAS,NATURAL ISRAEL BUT THAT WAS JUST ALIGORICAL THAT GOD WD BE MULTIPLIED AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN IN HUMANITY.JESUS CD NOT REFER TO THE HG AS THE PROMISE IF HE WERE NOT THE GRANSON,THAT WAS THE ORIGINAL PROMISE THAT ABRAHAM WD HAVE GRAND CHILDREN.

THE Ram caught in the thicket by his HORNS was symbolic of Christ and his Crown of thorns Jesus was caught in the thicket of th sins of the world thus he was truly the LAMB OF GOD THAT WD TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD. Emanuel; To your question about God putting people to the test; in James it is talking about alluring to sin; which cannot be done to God, and He doesn't do to anyone! But as to the action itself of enticing it is something that God does use in many ways for His righteous purposes and bringing out the best (or worst) in people.
