Discuss Isaiah 28 Page 2

The time period of the Tribulation fits in to Daniel 9:24-27 where there is a period of 70 "weeks" of years. In these verses we see how a covenant made is broken; and the last half of the Tribulation lasting 1260 days is mentioned at the end of Daniel 12. The 1335 days mentioned would likely be the period when Christ arrives and the whole campaign of Armageddon is fought likely also encompassing the time of the Ezekiel 38 war. This would show the sequence from Zechariah 12 when the remaining Jews finally recognize Christ as Messiah; through Zechariah 14 where half of the city is taken; and Christ goes out to fight against the enemies. The end of that last chapter in Zechariah gets into the Millennium. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 gets into the belief in "The Lie"; also see 1 Thessalonians 5:3 about everyone talking about "peace and safety or security." The covenant with "death and hell" is also seen in Isaiah 28:18 where the nation of Israel deliberately makes an agreement with Antichrist.

The seven year period apparently is also stated in the Koran someplace about their version of the 12th Imam or world ruler which is the length of time that leader is supposed to rule. Of course; we don't know if the Tribulation begins immediately after the Rapture. It is at that time that the Restrainer; or function of the Holy Spirit in the church is removed ( 2 Thess. 2:6-7). For now; the gates of hell cannot prevail against the church. ( Matthew 16:18). According to Daniel in the time of trial for His people the saints WILL be overcome by the Beast or Antichrist ( Daniel 7:25). We see how the boastful words there are a parallel to what is going on in Revelation 13.

It is a theory of mine that if you make each seal; trumpet and bowl a period of months and add it up you get 7 years. (1+2+3+4+5+6+7) X 3. That is; 28 X 3 months or 84 months is equal to 7 years. Daniel uses 360 day years. Revelation 11:1-2 describes the 2 witnesses likely the first half of the Trib.

In the bible times wine used to be mixed reducing the intoxicating effect and allowing users to have few glasses but as the years have pass bay. the drinks of today they are capable of getting you drunk with just one or even half a glass.

when people are drunk they tend not to be InControl and most of the times making stupid decisions the best word is sins, today people get up early and go drink drinking until night time.

    lets look at few scripturas

    isaiah 28:7

pleased for yourself and pray God to open your heart and mind for understanding.

As the bible says those who are drunk have erred out of the way and the visons and judgement has became corrupt

in in short they have stumble and sined

7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

    Proverbs 31:4-5

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:

5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

Isaiah 28:10 and 13 appear to be repetitive in nature, but there is a significant difference that shows they mean two different things. In 28:10, the verse starts out, "For precept must be upon precept...", while in v. 12-13, "Yet they would not hear. But the word of the Lord was to them, precept upon precept..". In verse 10, God is declaring that His truth contained within the ordinances, commands, and statutes are best learned when repeated and heeded by those to whom it's spoken or read. However, if one simply wants to ignore the value of God's doctrines, then to them it becomes a repetitive list of do's and don'ts. Just so many rules that are too inhibitive and legalistic for a loving God to apply to them. Matthew Henry had it right in his commentary on these verses. Those who seek to serve the Lord build their lives upon the cornerstone of His Word (Jesus), while those who would serve themselves see the Bible as a stumbling block.

Isaiah 28: talking of Lucifer (Satan)

13 Thou hast been in EDEN the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, UNTIL iniquity was found in thee.

16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

COMMENT: Lucifer was the covering Cherub in charge of praise and worship of God. He coveted that praise for himself; and led a rebellion in heaven. He was cast out of Heaven by Michael. Lucifer lost his name. He became Satan. He was not human as I said. Earth was created for HUMANS only. Satan used a serpents body to speak to Eve, and tempt her. His goal was to steal Adams Dominion as a Human. Eve ate the fruit and it was all over. What God gave to Adam, now Satan possessed it; until Jesus shed his blood on the Cross.

Satan didn't have his jewels. His Evil invisible spirit took a snakes body. Eph. 6

God doesn't need possessions as we understand it, 'having or owning things' that are necessary for our survival or happiness. In Psalm 50:10, God says: "For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills." God owns all things He has created, even the special called-out people (first Israel, then those who've come to faith in Christ) & also that special city Jerusalem (Zion). Psalm 87:2-3 says, "The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God." According to this verse, Zion is synonymous with City of God, and it is a place that God loves. Zion is Jerusalem.

Zion is first mentioned in 2 Samuel 5:7. Zion was originally an ancient Jebusite fortress in the city of Jerusalem. After David's conquest of the fortress, Jerusalem became a possession of Israel. The royal palace was built there, and Zion/Jerusalem became the seat of power in Israel's kingdom. When Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem, the meaning of Zion included the temple area ( Psalm 2:6; Psalm 48:2,11,12; Psalm 132:13). Therefore, the prophecy of Jeremiah 31:6, "Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God."

Zion is also used in a spiritual sense in Scripture. In the Old Testament, Zion refers figuratively to Israel as the people of God ( Isaiah 60:14). In the New Testament, Zion refers to God's spiritual kingdom: Hebrews 12:22. Peter, quoting Isaiah 28:16, refers to Christ as the Cornerstone of Zion ( 1 Peter 2:6).

Mount Zion, as a geographical area, is now the focus of much dispute (mainly between Jews & Muslims). The Bible is clear that one day Zion will be the sole possession of the Lord Jesus, and Zion, both the nation and the city, will be restored. ( Isaiah 52:1; Isaiah 60:14). When Jesus returns to Earth, His rule will be from Jerusalem ( Zechariah 14:1-4; Luke 1:32,33). I hope you can see why Zion is so important & especially significant in God's Eyes as a special City of God (on Earth).

Revelation 8:7 And the first angel sounded, And there followed hail mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and a THIRD PART of the trees were burnt up, and all the green grass was burnt up.

Isaiah 28:2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one (Christ), which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, and a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to earth with his hand.

Psalms 18:12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.

Psalms 18:13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens (in us), and the Highest gave his voice, hailstones and coals of fire.

Psalms 148:8 Fire, and hail; snow and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

Ezekiel 20:47 And say to the forest of the south, hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD God; Behold I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming fire shall not be quenched, and all faces from the north to the south shall be burned therein.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

    Proverbs Chapter 23

29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? (tears)

30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.

31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.

33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.

34 Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.

35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet AGAIN.

1st, because this scripture has put an emotion in you. I assume GOD is working on something within you, possibly to show you truth or study deeper.

2nd, pray for wisdom also James 1:5, in what GOD wants to reveal to you, deeper than I may show you.

3rd, to me I understand this Psalms 11, & Psalms 11:3, appears to be written by David, it seems to point to when he was being pursued by Saul into the mountains. Please read 1Samuel 19:10, 1Samuel 18:29, 1Samuel 23:26, could David be referring to the foundation being destroyed referring to himself? 1Kings 9:5, Jeremiah 33:17, Psalms 132:11, being the promise of GOD to establish HIS throne through David?

    4th, because the temple wasn't made yet, 1Chronicles 28:3-21, Psalms 127:1,

5th, however David's Psalms were also prophetic like Psalms 22,

6th, Jesus being in the lineage of David: Matthew 22:42, Acts 13:22, Matthew 1:1,

    7th, other scripture: Isaiah 28:16, 1Corinthians 3:11-17,

Sister GiGi, every Word God has ever spoken WILL COME TO PASS.

This is why it is SO IMPORTANT to understand, and believe, MOSSES and THE PROPHETS.

The Spirit of Christ prophesied that ONLY ONE THIRD (vessels of honour) of creation would be CALLED in this age of GRACE (the DAY OF THE LORD).

Ezekiel 5:1 .....then take three balances and weigh, and DIVIDE the hair ....( Revelation 6:5-6)

Ezekiel 5:2 Thou shall burn the THIRD PART in the midst of the city ....(you are the new Jerusalem of God)

Ezekiel 5:3 Thou shall also take thereof a FEW IN NUMBER, and bind them in thy skirts ( Psalms 133:2).

Ezekiel 5:4 Then take of them (the few) and cast them into the FIRE ( Malachi 3:2-3), and burn them (the few) in the FIRE; for thereof (the few) shall a FIRE ( Psalms 104:4) COME FORTH unto the House of Israel (you are the TRUE house of Israel).

Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob (Jacob was the shadow; Christ is the TRUE) SHALL BE A FIRE, and the house of Joseph (Joseph was the shadow; Christ is the TRUE) shall be a flame, and the house of ESAU for stubble ..

Obadiah 1:21 And saviours shall come upon Mount Zion, to judge the mount of ESAU; and the KINGDOM (of GOD)(CHRIST IN YOU) shall be the Lord's.

Zechariah 13:09 And I WILL bring the THIRD PART THROUGH THE FIRE ..

Revelation 8:7 ... and there followed HAIL and FIRE .....

Isaiah 28:2 Behold, the Lord (the Father ) hath a strong and might one (CHRIST), which as a tempest of HAIL and a destroying storm ....

Isaiah 28:17 ..and the HAIL shall sweep away the refuge of lies ..

Revelation 8:8 ...as it were a great mountain BURNING WITH FIRE ...

Daniel 2:35 ...and the stone (CHRIST) that smote THE IMAGE (of the beast)( Revelation 13:15) became a great mountain (Mount Zion) ...

Revelation 9:18 By these three was a THIRD PART of man killed, by the FIRE, and by the SMOKE, and by the BRIMSTONE, WHICH ISSUED of there MOUTH.

The LAKE OF FIRE and BRIMSTONE comes out of the MOUTH, THE FIRE AND BRIMSTONE ARE THE WORD'S OF GOD.

Rapture commentary. This subject; along with many others can be either over or under emphasized in our meditation; study and application. We are to "encourage one another" with the words relating to the coming of the Lord ( Romans 14:19). To escape wrath for those that make the Rapture has to mean even; and especially the first seal for several reasons. First of all; Christ personally is the only one who is able to open the seals ( Rev. 5:1-7). Second; a STRONG Delusion is going to come for those who do not LOVE the truth so that they will believe the LIE ( 2 Thess. 2:11). The covenant with Death and Hell ( Dan. 9:27; Isaiah 28:18) will commence. The restrainer will be removed ( 2 Thess. 2:6) that indicates the Spirit working as He does now in the church age.

Judgment begins at the house of God ( 1 Peter 4:17). There are some; who are living rebellious lives now and whose hearts are far from Him who may identify as "Christian"; others never have identified as believers. Whether any truly Born Again individuals are "left behind" or not; it is healthy to read all scriptures. Surely not everyone who professes Christ is "praying always to be worthy to escape ALL that is to come; and to stand before the Son of Man ( Luke 21:36); nor are they like the Philadelphia church to be "kept from the hour of trial" to encompass all the world ( Rev. 3:10). The "fire" of testing our works at the Bema Seat for those who have much wood and stubble will result in them being saved but suffering loss ( 1 Cor. 3:10-11). Many clearly are asleep at this hour; but in any event those who are His will hear His voice ( John 10:27).

The focus of the Rapture tends to be skewed on individual experiences related to visions or dreams on the subject. The Body of Christ is involved in actively being present during His judgments on the earth. Psalm 91:8 shows how we shall only see the judgment of the wicked from afar. We shall rule and reign with Him after He returns ( Dan. 7:27).

The descendants of Ephraim were said to be related to a son of Joseph with Asenath who was given to him by Pharaoh. Apparently, Manasseh was one of the descendants; and they were involved more with the Northern Kingdom and later disbanded. In any event; wherever the 12 tribes are in Israel today; the final treaty with "death and hell" (no doubt the Daniel 9:27 treaty)

(v.18) will be broken. Surely the cornerstone in verse 16 when ignored will bring Antichrist; and Christ Himself warned that they would accept one with his own name ( John 5:43). Their attempt to bring about a king; no doubt of Messianic Davidic decent will be brought to fruition with the bad fruit of this imposter. It is hard to say if the general drunken state will bring about the spiritual seduction that is implied here with the false prophets in verse 7 directly resulting in this deception; or if there is a general lack of discernment forseeing this event.

Verses 18 through 20 show the destruction coming; and the rest of the verses could have harvests that have a hidden meaning as to the firstfruits; then Christ at His coming comparing the rapture and later resurrection(s) to harvests-this is seen perhaps best with the barley harvest being first; and a wheat harvest (Tribulum) being a different process thrrough the fire as it were to extract the good grain. Other verses show the grape harvest; the trodding down as in Armageddon; as the final one; corresponding with bowl judgments in some respect.

Hi Gigi; I appreciate your response, however; I have understood the retoracle question in Hebrews 1:5 To which of the angels said God at any time, you are my son? This is actually saying God has never called angels sons of God, nor can they become sons of God, as I have previously stated only human beings can become sons of God, it is very clear in Luke 3:38 that Adam was the son of God. Adam was a human being, the genealogy from Adam unto the Lord Jesus, is a lineage of the sons of God, all those listed were sons of God. Now what we do know, is that the apostle Paul stated if a Christian is led by the Holy Ghost, he has matured to become a son of God. I understood your statement about things God has not revealed to us as of yet, this is very true, and we can be content in knowing only what God has revealed, for this reason I can say like Isaiah 28:9-10 a doctrine can only be created when you take line upon line, here a little, precept upon precept, and there a little, usingf this method we can assure ourselves we have arrived at good doctrine. Meaning look for all scriptures that teach sons of God, and see if at any time they refer unto angels, and you will discover what I also discovered, that no scripture refers unto angels as sons of God, only human beings are called sons of God. In conclusion, even Jesus took not upon himself the nature of angels to be called a son of God, but he took upon himself a human body, as the seed of Abraham. Hebrews 2:16

Hi Michelle. This passage speaks of Jesus Christ. And the Apostle Peter refers to an Old Testament prophecy in verse 6: "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste" ( Isaiah 28:16).

So Peter reaffirms that it is Jesus Who is this Living Stone, not only a foundation stone & a tried stone on which His Church is built, but One Who is alive forevermore. This Stone, men had rejected (they crucified Him, and do so today in their hearts in their hatred of Him), but He is the Chosen One of God & so precious as God's Son & the Forerunner of our faith (having entered the veil of death on our behalf at the Cross, making those who believe, acceptable to God, & He ever lives as our Great High Priest to intercede for us: Hebrews 6:19,20).

Romans 8:29 ... the image of Christ (angel of the Lord)....firstborn among MANY BRETHREN .....

It takes the Spirit CAUSING you to put verses TOGETHER to come to TRUTH.

    Isaiah 28:9-11

Sister Donna, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

You will never understand the Word of God without putting ALL the Words of God together. And even then the Holy Spirit has to explain it to you.

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little:

Isaiah 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue (the Holy Spirit) will SPEAK TO HIS PEOPLE.

It takes LOTS OF TIME and STUDY to even begin to understand. Most people just believe what other people tell them.

Revelation is a book that has been SIGNIFIED ( Revelation 1:1) meaning the word (such as heaven) represents something other than its meaning as given in a dictionary.

Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven ....Now we know heaven represents something other than its definition in a dictionary. It takes other verses to Know what it represents.

Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven ...

Matthew 12:28 But if I CAST OUT DEVILS by the SPIRIT OF GOD, then the kingdom of God has COME unto YOU.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon WAS CAST OUT (of heaven)(out of you)....You are the NEW HEAVEN ( Revelation 21:1) where GOD dwells. Colossians 1:27

Revelation 12:10 Now is come SALVATION ....

Luke 10:18 And he said unto him, I saw SATAN as lightning FALL FROM HEAVEN (from within YOU).

Revelation 12:10 Now is come SALVATION, and POWER, and THE KINGDOM OF OUR LORD ....

To understand the third killed in Revelation, you have to understand Ezekiel 5:1-5 and Zachariah 13:8-9 and Malachi 3:2-3

Hi Louis Rivera In regards to Acts 3:19 from context telling them to repent and be converted would lead to the age of Grace that we live in now. That's what my understanding is, the only other reference I see is In Isaiah 28:11+12 eleven is talking about speaking in tongues. 12 To whom he said This is the wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest and this is the refreshing; yet they would not here. Please feel free to give other opinions. In His service

Precious friend, Naresh. You do realize reading and studying are two different things? I would suggest "reading" to be 3-5 (or more, IF you wish...) chapters a day and that will take about a year to "read" the Whole Bible (KJV). This is good so that you can "...live By EVERY Word That Proceedeth Out Of The Mouth Of God." ( Deuteronomy 8:3) ( Matthew 4:4) ( Luke 4:4)

For life-long "studying" I recommend starting With: "What God Is Doing Today, Under GRACE, And Specifically WHO HE IS, And HIS Salvation For us," found in Romans Through Philemon, KJV, prayerfully And Carefully, and study According To The Following Bible "study" Rules: ( 1 Corinthians 14:40) ( 2 Timothy 2:15) ( Deuteronomy 4:2) ( Deuteronomy 12:32) ( Proverbs 30:5-6) ( Revelation 22:18-19 KJB!) ( Acts 17:11) ( Isaiah 28:10) ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17) ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17) ( 1 Corinthians 2:13)

The Best "Interpretive" Commentary On The Bible Is The BIBLE Itself!:

NEVER ever interpret The Many Plain Scriptures by the "few" difficult verses, But, ALWAYS Always Interpret the few Obscure/Difficult/Dubious verses By ALL Of The MANY Plain and Clear Passages Of God's Pure And Holy Word!

    Finally:

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do ALL to The Glory Of God!" ( 1 Corinthians 10:31)

Naresh, hope this helps on your reading/studying journey, and saves you from a lot of Confusion of the enemy...

    Hi Cherry.

Mind you I haven't read any of your proposed contradictions. Just the opening of each of the posts where you seem to go to great lengths..

I personally don't concern myself with contradictions of details when Almoghty God is able to preserve TRUTH. " THE MESSAGE" Which is spread throughout 66 books.

Isaiah 28:9-10. Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

And God didn't just give us his message by letter. His creation declare his Glory. Some say the Gospel is written in The Stars.

Attacking the integrity of the Scripture and say God can't preserve his word contradicts God word!!

Psalms 12:6-7. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

    It's the wok of Satan.

Again: Isaiah prophesied: Isaiah 28:v. 16-22

16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the REFUGE OF LIES, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.

And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken:but on whomsoever it shall fall,it will grind him to powder. Mat.21:44

    Hi Stephanie.

We worship EVERYDAY OF OUR LIVES!!!

We don't stop worshipping Sunday through Friday to make Saturday Special, Nor do we do that for any other day!! We need to understanding we're vessels!!

2 Timothy 2:20-21. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

    WE DON'T FILL THESE VESSELS!!

We are LAMPSTANDS!! And OUR FATHER

    supplies oil!!

Matthew 5:14-16. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

""TRUE"" Worship is not of ourselves!!

Ephesians 2:10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Worship is also NOT a place you Go!!

John 4:21, 23-24. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

    We are fruit barriers!!!

John 15:5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

    WE DON'T PRODUCE THE FRUIT!!!

WORSHIP IS A NEW LIFE, NOT A 9 TO 5.

The Sabbath day is everyday because we don't do it. CHRIST DID!! We join him in his rest.

    We're beneficiaries of a Promise.

    GOD BLESS.

What day do you worship God and why
  • S Spencer - In Reply - 4 years ago
    You're right Adam.

If a person truly believes he will bare fruit.

    The Holyspirit will sanctify,

Romans 6:1-4 . What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Romans 8:11. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

James 2:20. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

John 15:5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Matthew 7:17-20. Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

2 Peter 1:20-21. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Isaiah 28:9-10. Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

The Same message is spread throughout the bible. a little here, and a little there.

    All scripture should harmonize.

    Amen.

    Hi Bob..

As incouragement I believe the Lord hand is mighty!! He has No problem reserving his precious word.

Can you imagine IF little man can snatch a word or 2 out of scripture and derail Gods redemptive plan for all creation? That would render Christ dying on the cross and the resurrection as vain. Our salvation wasn't the only thing depending on the cross, Our sanctification, spiritual walk, and Wisdom depends on it as well.

    HE CANT!

If you took John 3:16 out the bible it wouldn't make not difference, The message is embodied throughout the scripture.

Isaiah 28:9-10 . Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

And yes we should study ALL the scripture, However your increase comes from the Lord, not repetition.

The natural man no not the things of the Lord, neither can he.

You can read the Bible a 1000 times and still be a baby in Christ or not in Christ at all.

It's his word in you that bares fruit.

    God bless.
