Discuss Isaiah 54

Almighty God, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ, I come before You as Your daughter, covered in the Blood of the Lamb. And I cover my whole family in the Blood of the Lamb, Lord, You said in Your Word: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me" Isaiah 54:17. I claim this promise today.

Father, I lift up Ash and S.J. (abbreviated) to You. I rebuke the spirit of division, strife, pride, violence, miscommunication, resentment, bitterness, and every evil, that has come between these two sisters. In the authority of Jesus Christ, I command these spirits to loose their hold and depart from my family. I declare that no wedge, no scheme of the enemy, no fiery dart of satan shall prosper against them nor against this household nor my family, our loved ones, nor I, in Jesus Name,

Lord, I ask You to deliver both sisters Ash and S.J. from the grip of the past. Heal every wound that has been festering, silence every accusing voice of the enemy, and break every cycle of lopsided reconciliation. Replace anger with compassion, replace pride with humility, replace aggression with compassion & gentleness and understanding, replace hurt with forgiveness.

I decree that this year shall not be marked by sadness, but by blessing. This shall be a year of joy, a year of celebration, a year of new beginnings. As one daughter enters marriage and another brings forth new life, let reconciliation flow between them so that peace, unity, and love cover every gathering and every season. Protect me, and my whole family and all loved ones, oh Lord, from every attack and every arrow of the enemy. Cover our minds, our hearts, and our spirits, under the shadow of Your wings. Let Your angels surround me and my family as a hedge of fire, keeping out all strife and confusion.

I declare by faith that Ash and S.J. will forgive the past and move for

    Some thoughts on being single

It is interesting to look at my life when I was in my teens. I always envied my grandmother who lived nearby because she had a place to herself and talked to the Lord somewhat about that situation in my life. Well; circumstances came to pass to allow for that before I came here; and now that my mom has passed and my Dad is in a facility. My situation has allowed me to do a lot of thinking since I was young and I guess so much introspection and some natural writing ability has helped me on this forum.

Now I have known some who have had issues; even being upset when they didn't have someone and friends were getting married.

I can't say that there aren't disadvantages along with the advantages here. It seems more like a foreign concept or world to me seeing others living near me who have; more or less "normal" relationships of husband; wife and children. Of that I am alway grateful as so many are in disfunctional families today. I am also blessed to live in an area heavily policed with decent people no less in that capacity in general; although I am aware of some things from sources I will leave anonymous that certain things were overlooked which shouldn't have been. Nonetheless having a quiet place to sleep is something I am blessed to have after many years of contentious people with apartment living.

Being able to take the time; sometimes several hours such as with my one friend talking; and shopping; taking walks; etc is something I couldn't do in a different setting; nor could I have spent several years when I did first come home taking care of my parents who needed the help.

Overall; I know that Jesus said in Matthew 22:30 that people in heaven wouldn't marry; and there are other verses which say the eunich and those without children will still be blessed even more (See Isaiah 54:1). Other scripture talks about God's faithfullness in Psalms even if our mother and father forsake us; and I assume wives also.

For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

    ( Jeremiah 29:10-12)

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer. ( Isaiah 54:8).

These two passages show that during specific time frames God was leaving His influence from His people. The first verse is part of a lengthy section which reinforces the idea that the false prophets predicting a short time of exile and or good news about resisting Nebuchadnezzar and his army was to be ignored and that the 70 years in the land predicted was a done deal as far as God was concerned. We see this pattern as well with 7 years determined for the Tribulation which in this Isaiah passage and also Isaiah 9 which is in today's Bible verse describes in regard to the conditions during His rule and reign over the earth.

We only need to look at the passages in the Gospels regarding God the Father turning away for the brief moment Christ was on the cross to see the hour of darkness which enveloped the earth ( Luke 22:53) and see the parallel with the son of perdition at that time (Judas Iscariot) and the future one during the Tribulation once the Restrainer is removed ( 2 Thess. 2:6-7).

    Jeremiah 3:14 states

14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:.. This; despite the passage in verse 8 in the same chapter announcing God's divorce from His people due to spiritual adultery; as it were.

God therefore has purposes in His hidden counsel ( Deut. 29:29); but a greater purpose

    Hello Friend,

In the Old Testament, the concept of the Bride is not connected to the Church or the Body of Christ, but rather to Israel. The relationship between God (Jehovah) and Israel is portrayed as a marriage covenant, established at Mount Sinai, where Israel became the Lord's covenant "wife." This bridal imagery is deeply rooted in prophecy and symbolic throughout the prophetic books.

In Isaiah 54:5, God declares, "Thy Maker is thine husband," affirming His role as Israel's divine spouse. Likewise, in Jeremiah 3:14, He says, "I am married unto you," while calling His people to repentance. Israel's repeated idolatry and covenant violations are described as spiritual adultery, as seen powerfully in Ezekiel 16 and Hosea 1-3. Hosea's marriage to the unfaithful Gomer is a symbolic prophecy of Israel's infidelity and eventual restoration.

Despite Israel's unfaithfulness, God promises future reconciliation and renewed relationship. In Hosea 2:19-20, He says, "I will betroth thee unto me forever," pointing to a time when Israel will be restored in righteousness. Isaiah 62:4-5 paints a future picture of Israel no longer being called "Forsaken," but "Beulah," meaning "married," and proclaims, "as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee." These prophecies point toward the millennial reign, when Israel will be spiritually renewed and restored to her covenant relationship with the Lord.

Thus, the Old Testament's Bride is Israel, not the Church. The Body of Christ, revealed later through Paul, is described as a new creature, not a bride. The prophetic imagery of the Bride in the OT consistently refers to national Israel's past covenant, present estrangement, and future restoration, all rooted in God's enduring faithfulness.

Father God, I lift up Ashley, her marriage, and her circle of friends to You. Place a hedge of protection around her relationship: let no spirit of infidelity, deception, or division enter in to her husband, marriage nor her, EVER. Strengthen the bond between her and her husband. Let loyalty, peace, and honesty reign in their home. Surround her with kind, loyal, God-fearing friends. Uproot every false, manipulative, or attacking spirit sent against her , her husband and me and our whole family. Silence every tongue that rises in judgment. Let her be honored, not harmed.

I decree that Ashley's marriage is sealed by God and no weapon formed against it shall prosper. I declare that her friendships will be life-giving, not life-draining. I proclaim peace, joy, and honor over her home and relationships in Jesus' name.

    Isaiah 54:17 -

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord."

    In Jesus Name, Amen.

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Isaiah 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

Heaven is; no doubt principally involved with the worship of the Triune God as primary; and relational with fellowship with other saints in His presence as secondary. In those of us in situations where we are single; or have no possibility of having children it can be depressing; admittedly. What is at the heart of any truly Godly relationship is the presence of the Lord; and we are to guard our hearts against anything getting in the way ( Prov. 4:23). As our hearts are desperately wicked ( Jeremiah 17:9) we need to take care not to attempt shortcuts or compromise in order to try to give God a "jump start" as to what we desire.

First and foremost the Kingdom of God is to be sought after; and then the Lord will give us the desires of our heart ( Psalm 37:4).

As a jealous God is towards His people ( Exodus 20:5) an earthly marriage in particular should covet the partnership with the covenant spouse in exclusion of all others in certain aspects of intimacy. No doubt there are applications which a couple should learn to practice in reaching out to others by working together as a team; something that takes hard work and sadly in many cases doesn't come to fruition as we often see only one of the two parties committed to local church attendance; etc.

We must remember that as His children ultimately He knows what is best for us. When we compare the eternal weight of glory ( 2 Corinthians 4:17) to our current burdens that gives us a clear perspective on priorities of greater and lesser importance.

I pray this forum will truly continue to help bear one anothers' burdens even with the anonymous forum.

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me," says the Lord.

    - Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)

    Heavenly Father,

We come before You, calling on Your mercy and protection. Lord, You see all that we've been through: accidents, repossession, stress and strain: and none of it our fault. It's been too much. But You are greater than every storm. In the name of Jesus, I plead the blood of Jesus over every vehicle my family drives. Lord, I pray travel mercies over my children, my sons-in-law, my husband, BW, my grandbaby, and every extended family member and loved one. Surround every car with Your warring angels. Let them stand as heavenly bodyguards, blocking every attack, every accident, every ambush of the enemy. Lord, we declare: No weapon formed against us shall prosper! Not on the road, not in our health, not in our minds, not in our families. We reject every plan of the enemy, and we release Your divine safety and peace. Let our vehicles last a long, long time: without breakdowns, without accidents, without worry. Restore what's been lost, and give us favor. Bless us with health, strength, and long life. Rebuke the devourer, God. Shut every door the enemy tries to come through, and open wide the doors of peace and provision.

We thank You in advance for protection, for calm roads, for safe travels, and for angels stationed on every side.

In Jesus' mighty name we pray,

    Amen and Hallelujah!

    Continued:

These are examples of people in fear, sickness and death situations and my ways and interpetation to overcome through Jesus Christ is God died /sacrifice on the cross , buried in a grave, after 3 day rose from the dead.

    1) A man with health concerns was about to undergo another major surgery, he said that while he was anxious about his health and didn't want to die, he wasn't afraid of being sick or dying. He was asked why -and said he knew that whatever happened, God was in control. My interpetation he had faith ( Psalms 30:2 KJV ) and believed Jesus Christ is God ( Isaiah 56:6 KJV )

    2) A trembling woman who had been sick for many years approached Jesus . Then she touched the edge of his cloak and was immediately healed! While she was afraid to speak up about what she had done. Jesus assured her that her faith in him had made her whole. Here is a textual scripture: Mark 5:25-34 KJV My interpetation is meaning she listened to God's commands believing the truth-Jesus Christ is God.( Isaiah 54:10 KJV,) bringing and end to the law Romans 10:4 KJV meaning made well and healed.

    Mark 5:33 KJV

33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

3)Sickness and death are things that we all fear in one way or another My interpetation believing in God and not believing in God. But as we look at these grim realities, we need to see them through the lens of a Jesus sacrifice for us My interpetation: ( Matthew 3:2 KJV, Matthew 4:19 KJV, John 3:16 KJV) and God love for us Romans 5:8 KJV.

    Matthew 3:2 KJV

And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Matthew 4:19 KJV

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Have someone ever spoke to you or gave you writings about God's love?

I pray that...whatever is going on it won't get the best of you,

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." Isaiah 54:17 KJV

and that...you stay with Jesus and keep the faith,

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?" Romans 8:35 KJV

and that...you have peace knowing that Jesus loves you and knows exactly where you are and what's going on in your life,

"Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39 KJV

and that...you have peace and are not troubled by things that are out of your control, and are not fair,

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 KJV

...and finally that you keep your mind on Jesus and the things of God knowing that trouble won't last always,

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3 KJV

    AMEN.

    God and meeting our needs.

Ephesians 5:31 and 32 say: For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.

In an earthly marriage relationship when two people are committed to meeting the needs of another and Christ ISN'T depended on for that connection one or both parties often get bored with one another. This of course is largely because man sees the outward appearance and God sees the heart ( 1 Samuel 16:7). When we see with SPIRITUAL eyes we learn to recognize the inner beauty when the outward appearance may be unattractive. These truths should be a factor we consider before marriage. It is possible early on that we are so consumed with external beauty that the inner soul of a believer isn't seen either OR it turns out that is what was really behind the attraction in the first place which of course should work out in the long run.

In any event; any lack of love we feel for the Lord of course is our fault. Facing our own helpless state SHOULD be an encouragement; we never enjoy it but realize how valuable salvation is to a worm such as us. This is; of course the difference between a suicidal individual and one who can finally let the Lord take our life and transform it. He does the surgery; as it were; He did it with Adam in the garden to change him; perhaps in the same way the "two edged" sword of the Spirit removes something and replaces it with something else ( Heb. 4:12). Just thought of that one BTW...

Psalm 103 is very encouraging. Verse 9 states He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. Other parts of the Psalm show how man is dust and He understands. Isaiah 54:8 in the final prophetic meaning relates to Israel in the Tribulation but we an all find solace. It reads With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; But with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,"

    God's is all knowing

"Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine." Genesis 20:7 KJV

(even in the midst of Abraham's deceit God intervened and protected both him and his wife Sarah)

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." Isaiah 54:17 KJV

(my learning from this is to trust God, as in the scriptures:)

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Proverbs 3:5 KJV

"Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah." Psalms 62:8 KJV

"He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered." Proverbs 28:26 KJV

"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9 KJV

Hello Friends, To continue with my meditations on the truth of who God is I want to praise Him today for He is KIND:

Because God is always good, He will always be kind. Isaiah 54:8 says His kindness is everlasting and it is this kindness that leads Him to show compassion and bestow mercy. These attribute are all wound together. This interwovenness of attributes is truly evident here with kindness, compassion, mercy, and love. God is not made of parts, as we are, with physical and spiritual parts that make us a whole. God is a unified whole and so when He shows kindness it is His whole being that is acting, not a distinct compartment of His being. God says He is One, and this shows here in the complete unity within Himself of all of His essence. So, as many theologians have said over the years, God is His attributes and His attributes are God because He is not divided into parts (attributes that create a composite being. More on this in later posts.

God's kindness is, to us, an action He bestows to us. We receive it from Him. It is such a delight to receive His kindness and to know that He will always be kind consistently. He is not one to waver back and forth as with the blowing of the wind. He is constant in His essence and so we can trust in Him to always act in a way that is truly good for us all things considered. In the life to come, we will drink of His kindness forever and ever, which will give us everlasting joy and contentment. His loving care for us will lead us to endless praise of Him and true worship that delights Him. He will delight in us and sing over us, as is said in Zeph. chapter 3.

    Christ: Real and imaginary

    Introduction

Psalm 50:21 warns of judgment coming for those who think that God is just like them; i.e. a God of their own imaginations or choosing. I have given many posts in regard to understanding correct doctrine; along with the admonition to know God not just know a lot about Him. John 6:45 explains from Isaiah 54:13 that we or "they" shall "all be taught by God."

In addition to experiential knowledge the Holy Spirit in the church age lives within every believer; in fact that implies each member of the Trinity or Triune God ( John 14:23). This has allowed us to be the Temple of God now ( 2 Cor. 6:16); which also mentions the "living God" in the verse; yet another evidence that "soul sleep" is a farce. God is not a God of the dead but the living ( Luke 20:38); which also mentions the word "all" as to who lives in Him; for all who are believers.

It is easy as believers to be one sided in this matter; and assume that the most dangerous deception is false religion (or atheism). In this; we also are ignorant of the fact that Satan wishes to steal God's Glory; hence denying the Father and Son in Spirit; but also magnifying himself as though he IS God ( 1 John 2:23; 2 Thess. 2:4). False Christs; of course are rampant as a sign of the last days. ( Matt. 24:24). This is not even the greatest danger; what is are those who are in the midst of the true believers where the Word of God is preached; somehow comforting themselves in some warped version of who Christ is to them personally. "Remember Lot's wife" is an excellent tract by Chapel Library in Pensacola which I am recommending for this theme in particular as well as for all their tracts that show the "Grace Gospel" (all of Christ; none of us basically). Scripture makes it clear the fate of Lot's wife who turned back ( Gen. 19:26). The tract makes it clear that she had unusually privileges being able to be the only married woman in Sodom who got to hear the Word of God.
