Part 8: Conclusion to Rapture signs (not sure what number it is some seem to be mia)

Ok; as Solomon stated at the end of Ecclesiastes 12: the conclusion of the matter is to fear God and keep His commandments. The judge is standing at the door (see James 5:9).

As to my last posting; the Rapture is worth it more than any utopian pipe dreams the world has to offer. The Angel of Destruction is coming to judge with the plagues of the Seals at the very beginning of the Tribulation. The Rapture will prove that the straight and narrow truly IS worth it. The world will go from praising God (if we take Revelation chronologically starting in chapter 4); fearing God then ultimately fighting against Him at Armageddon under Satan's deception that NO MAN CAN RESIST without God's help. Unlike the world a true believer realizes that there is no way they can enter into heaven without the atoning work of Christ. FEW so called Christians are going to make it; I can say that with confidence because unlike today's megachurch concept Christ Himself said that few are giong to be saved. You can find that verse and read it yourself. If few are saved than don't expect more than a few to be Raptured. Resurrected; perhaps-that is something most "rapture" testimonies don't cover with some exceptions. We may not see someone raptured but the empty tombs will not be able to be explained on a worldwide basis and the selective nature of it will clearly signify the Rapture has occurred. With anything else it is likely that the majority of professing believers have ditched the concept of the Rapture and others are deluded as to qualifying for it. Still others prach harsh messages assuming that those who ARE worthy to escape must somehow "muscle up" to live through the Tribulation. That perhaps is a last point or "principle". Enough is enough for now. Agape.

If you would please pray for The LORD to help me through the trials and tribulations that I am going through (Psalm34:19-20, Psalm 3, Psalm 5, Psalm 18, Psalm 144) If you would pray that The LORD would protect and deliver me from The Devil and my enemies ( Psalm 35, Psalm 59, 2 Thess 3:2). Also that The LORD would fight them, and expose their schemes against me and bring them to nought ( Exodus 14:14, Psalm 24:8, Psalm 33:10). Please pray that The LORD provides for all of my spiritual and material needs ( Philippians 4:19). Also, please pray for healing for my backsliding, body, mind, soul and spirit ( Exodus 15:26, Hosea 14:1-4, Jeremiah 3:22) . Please pray that The LORD turns my life situation around like he did for Job ( Job 42:10, James 5:11). Thank you and God bless you ( Revelation 22:21).

Please, read it again. Break it down, James 5:16, "confess your faults" "one to another" "and pray for one another" "that you may be healed" "the effectual fervert prayer" "of a righteous man" "availeth much"

Going back a few scriptures also James 1:13,14,15, is any among you sick?

Confession to an effectual praying righteous man. Praying for one another to be healed. It seems to say, someone you know is righteous that has results when they pray. Especially for healing.

Sometimes we just need to admit to others we've been wrong, fallen short, struggle, messed up, etc. Sometimes when we just admit simple faults, there is freedom & inner healings. I don't think it's biblical or wise to give detailed accounts of sin. Ephesians 5,

That is not quite right dear Jacqui.

    Romans 15:30-31

    "Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;"

    Ephesians 6:19-20

    "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."

    Colossians 4:2-3

    "Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds"

    1 Thessalonians 5:25

"Brethren, pray for us (Paul says)."

    Acts 12:5

"Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him."

And many many more. If Perer and Paul needed prayers from others how necessary it is for us to pray for each other?

    James 5:16

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

    Psalm 25.

Let us start this commentary on verse 14. We are reminded here of the verse in Deuteronomy 29:29 about the secret things of the Lord that we are NOT to know. There are other verses that state what is seemingly the opposite (namely; Proverbs 25:2) which states that it is the honor of kings for such matters to be revealed. Since we are "kings and priests" in the Lord; therefore we are given some comprehension of such mysteries. ( Rev. 5:10).

Two major themes here relate to the fear of the Lord (in the verses 12-14) and not harboring sins (verses 1-7). Meek individuals (verse 8) remind us of the verse in the Gospels stating that the "meek shall inherit the earth" ( Matthew 5:5). Verse 10 also brings up the concept of those keeping His covenant (not stated which covenant) as well as those who keep "his testimonies." Obviously; the word of our testimony ( Rev. 12:11) is vital which involves confessing with our mouth as well as our heart. Trust is also a theme here of importance (verse 2 as well as verse 20). The last verse talks of Israel as a whole; which in context could refer to David's descendants or the eventual plan at the end of the age where it is restored to the position originally intended.

Finally; patience in waiting on God is noted in verses 5 and 21. There are numerous references in scripture on that subject as a fruit; as one type of crown being given as a reward for those who wait patiently for the coming of the Lord ( James 5:7; etal). When we see such great wickedness around today such as was in the time of Lot and Noah we need to keep in focus the big picture.

Hello again . I'm reading through Psalms at the moment and have just read Psalm 32 , it's lovely and I thought it might help you . It was written by David who was a man well acquainted with sin and the consequences of it . I hope it is a help to you .

    Dear Robbie

    I will answer your 1st question (I don't understand the 2nd).

Only the pastor, the elders of the church and the ministers are allowed to lay hands on.

    James 5:14-15

"Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."

The rest of us can pray for healing but are not allowed to lay hands on

I am sorry that you feel so alone. As Jaqui said, God is always with us and within us who believe on Jesus.

Even so, I do know how loneliness feels, so I will pray for you. I pray that God will bring trustworthy, believing friends to you soon.

If we have done something against another brother or sister, we need to confess to them so that we will be spiritually healed.
  • Jacqui - In Reply on James 5 - 3 years ago
Dgjot you must never think that because it's just not true . God and Jesus are with you 24/7 they are with you right this minute and they will not ever leave you . Talk to them , do not be afraid to pour your heart out , they really do love and care for you . They know you inside out , faults and all and they still love you . You can come on here and confess your faults if you wish , it's totally anonymous so you have nothing to fear from us . We are all in the same boat , very aware that we are nothing more than sinful creatures of the flesh , we are all sinners on here and there is no judgement among true believers . Please don't think that you are alone because you most definately are not , you are surrounded by love every day .
  • Adam - In Reply on James 5 - 3 years ago
    Hi Dgjot,

I can relate to what your saying. I don't think the scripture means to share our faults with just anyone, and I'm not sure it means to share 100% of every negative thing we think about ourselves or every possible sin. Too much focus on negative things can also feed negative thinking. I think this is reserved for an extremely selective few or one within boundaries of mutual trust to where its appropriate to share something that will allow accountability and strength in hearing. In my experience, this opportunity doesn't occur very often. It's something I've prayed for through the years. Many people don't have trusting relationships and don't have this opportunity so I don't think anyone should feel bad if they are not in a situation allowing for this.

Also, the feeling of "alone" is just a perception that is subject to change. Some feel alone in a crowd, but someone else in the same exact situation may feel a part of a community even if they don't know or talk to anyone. Someone may feel alone even while they interact in a Bible chat like this, but others might feel this is like their church community. Some feel alone by themselves, others thrive and don't feel alone even when no one is physically around. In a sense none of us are alone, because we always have God to talk to. Which is correct? Which mindset is healthiest for us to have?

I don't have anyone to talk to. I'm alone.
  • GiGi - In Reply on James 5 - 3 years ago
    Dear Dgjot

It says in James 5:16 to confess our sins to one another. But this does not mean to anybody, but to those who you are in a strong Christian friendship with who knows you well and deeply cares for your growth as a believer. It is not easy to be honest with others about our failings. But we are instructed to do so. We can also confess to a pastor. But even so, we must confess to God when we know we have sinned. If we have sinned against another person, then we are to go to that person and confess that we have wronged them and ask for forgiveness and make restitution (if applicable). This is what honorable people do. so, I suggest that you pray about this and before you share with someone else your sins. God can bless such intimate exposure to one another in so many amazing ways.

James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

I could have sworn that somewhere in the N.T. it said, Confess your faults TO GOD or to one another.

No way will I confess my faults to another human being. I confess my sins to God and God alone. Can you imagine the fear I would have to live with, if I bared my soul to someone who would turn around and expose me??? I'd kill myself.

    Ddjot,

Chris gave a good answer, I'd like to add to the discussion. Please note the verse right before, Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 29:10, sometimes we want GOD to change our situations "right now", sometimes HE does, but I believe this promise, is for GOD's people when we need the encouragement for the troubled times & endurance in longer seasons. Notice in Daniel, he & his companions had went through many difficult moments but GOD in miraculous ways delivered them, protected them & even encouraged them. I believe it was after Daniel was thrown in the lions den that he fasted & humbly prayed about the promise made in Jeremiah 29:10,11, Daniel 9:1,2,3, still waiting on that promise of 70 years,

note Daniel 6:1,2,3, (for why I place the timing, seemingly after lions den) the noted scriptures referring to about Daniel's encouragement, & companions, some say "the greater the trial the greater the miraculous": Daniel 1:8,9,17, Daniel 2:12,13,17,23 Daniel 3:12-27, Daniel 4:19,24,25, Daniel 5, Daniel 6:7,10,16,22,28, Daniel 9:23, Daniel 10:11,12,18, Daniel 11:1,

Luke 10:19, there are moments that are painful but when we look at Salvation, the pruning, witness to strengthen the Body of Believers, then we realize it didn't "hurt us".

    I hope these scriptures give you strength & hope= 1Peter 4:12,13, 2Corinthians 1:3-7, John 15:1-2, 1Corinthians 4:5, 2Corinthians 3:2, Zechariah 13:9, Malachi 3:3, 2Timothy 2:10, Psalms 30:5,

    In correction= Isaiah 48:10,11, Malachi 3:2, Proverbs 3:11-35, Hebrews 12:7, 2Thessalonians 1:4,

Endure even undue trials= 2Timothy 2:3, 2Timothy 4:5, remember Timothy was with Paul in ministry during persecution. 1Peter 2:19, Mark 13:13, James 5:10,11,

    James 5:13-18, 2Chronicles 7:14,

Hopefully these are helpful & encouraging
  • T. Levis - In Reply on Revelation 3:2 - 3 years ago
Events seem to be GOD's timing = Noah Genesis 6,7, Abraham 14 generations, to David as references in Matthew 1:17, including within those 400+ years in Egypt, Abraham himself being old before birth of Isaac. & Genesis 15:16.

    Revelation 6:9,10,11, Revelation 17:14-17, James 5:7,

it appears to me that the final martyr of GOD's beloved, will ignite. Like the other events in the written Word.

    Hebrews 1:13, Matthew 24, Mark 13,

As a loving Father, HE appears to be balancing the mercy of HIS will, that none should perish of the people; Matthew 18:14, 2Peter 3:1-18, & mercy for HIS children, Hebrews 11:6-40,

Standing out from the crowd: Fellowship of the Saints (continued)

Sadly; in Protestant circles today the proper concept of "confessing sins to one another" ( James 5:16) has been buried with the misapplication of the Catholic system and the hierarchy of church officials taking that approach toward parishioners; rather than the other way around. Before we cast stones in that direction; we need to see how well we are doing in light of Matthew 5:23.

When there is strife and envy and a brother is hardened like a city wall ( Prov. 17:14) and we are the cause it is our duty to rectify things. This is particularly true as well for a husband and wife so that their prayers won't be hindered ( 1 Peter 3:7).

It is said with the popular adage in the secular world that we are all part of creating a village (or something to that affect). The concept of the saints of Christ being a part of a victorious army should be made clearer when we see how when one member hurts all members suffer ( 1 Cor. 12). When we look at these actions as being duties rather than options; and Christ BEING our life rather than the "center" of it (which still places ourselves as the one who determines the meaning of that definition and all the other parameters as well) it helps to give us a better picture of the way things should be.

    Responsibilities as laypersons.

There are correct methodologies presented by Christ Himself as well as the Apostle Paul for disciplinary action. Nonetheless; we are to judge righteously. Those who suggest we shouldn't judge lest we be judged in the same manner who are truly in the faith need to be honest. If WE are the ones expounding error we should WANT others to hold us accountable; and that also applies for our responsibility as church members in particular to point out error among leadership with themethods prescribed in scripture. How can we not be jealous for the Word of God when "damnable heresies" are sneaking in (see Jude and many admonitions by Paul)

James 5:19-20 After carefully studying 1:21 concerning how the soul is saved by the engrafted word, which refers unto the Ten Commandments written in the heart, and in chapter 2:14-22 faith with works is dead concerning the saving of the soul, as it must be saved by faith with works, he concludes here that the soul being unsaved enjoys the pleasures of sin, only when someone is able to convert the backslidden Christian from living an immoral lifestyle, is there any hope for that soul from living in death.
  • Chris - In Reply on James 5 - 3 years ago
Certainly, man cannot be the judge of another's salvation, because we don't see or know what God sees & knows. If I might direct you to Acts 1:13 (James with the others were gathered in an upper room for prayer, etc.); Galatians 1:19 (James was an apostle); Acts 15:13-21 (James was a member of the Jerusalem Council); James 2:1 ("My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons": and this verse shows us that James had put his trust in Jesus & this epistle was to his 'brethren', the believing Jews who were scattered, living in other lands). In my understanding, James appears to have the same spiritual awakening & expression of faith in Jesus, as any of the other apostles. Do you see a problem here?

Again Jews still zealous for the law and not after the freedom in Christ.

As it states the law was bondage Galatians ,5:1-18. There were many

Jews born again still walking in the law and condemning gentiles this

Caused great division in the church. Paul addressed this quite often

And there's more to this I just touched on the subject.
