Some Christians follow God's morals only to the point where it conflicts with the world's morals, then proceed with the world's morals instead. The result is following the world ( 1 John 2:15).
Despite Acts 2:38 saying to be baptized, some say "don't" be baptized.
Despite John 14:6 saying to go to Jesus, some say to go through a 'prophet' or pope.
Despite James 4:17 saying to avoid sin, some claim it's bad and 'legalism' to avoid sin.
Despite Psalm 139:13 saying unborn babies are special, some claim killing them is ok.
Despite Ezra 7:13 saying people have freewill, some claim they "don't" have freewill.
Despite Matthew 7:13 saying most people will go to hell, some say most will "not" go to hell.
Despite Matthew 10:28 warning us about hell, some say "there is no hell."
Despite 1 Timothy 2:12 saying women shouldn't teach, some say they "should."
Despite Leviticus 20:13 saying homosexuality is a sin, some say it's "not" a sin.
Despite John 15:10 saying to obey, some say it's ok to "not" obey.
Despite John 1:1 saying Jesus (the Word) is God, some say Jesus is "not" God.
Despite 1 John 5:7 saying 3 are one, some say the 3 are "not" one.
The rationalizing pattern seems to be: "No, the Bible doesn't say [what it actually says], but says [something I'm more comfortable with]". This format seems awfully similar to Genesis 3:4 where satan says "Ye shall NOT surely die." Satan is called the father of lies for a reason and some Christians assume they are immune to it.
Rationalizing the world's morals over God's morals seems to require ignoring scripture. Does anyone agree?
So, should we follow God's Word or man's word (which might be satan's word)?
God bless...
All mankind HAS BEEN REDEEMED, and their life is HID with CHRIST.
Colossians 3:3 For ye (all mankind) are dead and your life is HID with Christ in God.
2 Corinthians 4:3 But if the gospel be HID, it is HID to them that are lost.
Mankind is SAVED, they can not lose their salvation, they can not go to hell, their SAVED.
Their lost because of lack of knowledge.
The gospel is bringing this knowledge to mankind.
God will cause them to repent, cause them to believe, cause them to have faith, cause them to love, ect., etc., because it his LIFE IN YOU. Of yourself you can do nothing.
1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. Man has no knowledge of this.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God (his life) that worketh in you both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure (Because it's HIS LIFE).
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Mark 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Jesus came to visibly show what it means for God to be ALL in ALL, Christ was the first.
Christ is the body ( Ephesians 4:4)(a vessel) that holds ALL GOD IS; therefore Christ did nothing of himself, because a BODY can DO NOTHING of itself, It's the LIFE in the BODY that does the work. ( John 5:19)( John 5:30)( John 8:28).
Philippians 2:13 For it is God (the LIFE) which worketh in you (in the body, the vessel, even in Christ) TO WILL and TO DO his (the Father's) good pleasure.
We are going to be CONFORMED to the likeness of Christ. We are the pot (the body, the vessel) he is the potter.
He is bring his BODY (you and I) to TRUTH. WE do NOTHING OURSELVES ( John 15:5).
When you are BORN of TRUTH, ALL that you are doing is not you THE BODY doing it, but God THE LIFE in you doing the work.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God (TRUTH) doth not COMMIT SIN: for his SEED (CHRIST IN YOU)( Colossians 1:27) remaineth in him (you ARE DEAD (in trespasses) he GAVE you HIS LIFE, you are now the body that HOLDS ALL GOD IS): and he (the one who died to TRUTH), cannot sin, because he is born of TRUTH.
And the TRUTH is:
Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD (THE LIFE) which worketh in you (HIS BODY) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.
God grace us with eyes to see, God bless you.

From the first Adam, all have sinned Romans 5:12. Even without the law we have sinned, there are people in this world that do much evil and there are people in this world that do much good and neither have never seen a bible or heard of Jesus. From the first Adam, not only death was passed, every person is born with the knowledge of good and evil, it is written in our conscience. With or without the knowledge of the law, one may choose to either do evil or do good.
We see in Romans 2:12-15, read the entire chapter. Jesus first came almost 2000 years ago, the Messiah for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then by the grace of God, the gospel of Jesus was given to all the other nations. Millions of people lived and died before He first came, are they doomed to eternal death? Millions since have never heard of Him, are they doomed?
What we should contemplate, will we that have heard the gospel of Jesus be held to a higher standard of judgment? We see when Jesus sent the disciples out to tell people the kingdom of heaven is at hand, what it would be like if they rejected it. Matthew 10:14-15.
Many see the great white throne judgment is only for the lost, but in my understanding, scripture does not support that. We have Daniel 12:2 John 5:28-29 Matthew 25:31-46, and more, and the parables. After the one thousand years, Revelation 20:11-15. All the rest of the dead small and great, raised from the dead, they will be judged out of the books and one of these books is the book of life, and whoever was not found in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. Would the book of life be needed if all were lost? God is a just God and we can trust in His word.
This is my understanding, may others have another view.
God bless,

Blasphemy: Contemptuous or profane speech or action concerning God or a sacred entity.
Contempt: a feeling that someone or something is not worthy of any respect or approval
Contempt against the Holy Spirit is equal to not being saved. How can someone who accepts Jesus as their savior and have the Holy Spirit hold it in contempt? Conversely, How can someone whose sins aren't forgiven be saved? If you are saved, this doesn't apply to you.
Don't live in fear over this or over anything. F.E.A.R. = False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is Satan's strongest weapon to destroy your life. Fear is the opposite of love. Even your misinterpretations of the bible can be used against you.
If you have blasphemous thoughts over this it's because your mind focuses on what you fear. Those thoughts are not your own, don't accept them. If you actively try to ignore something, the opposite will happen. Instead, focus on good things.
John 5:24, Romans 8:15
if you do read the KJV you may not believe all that is written, but this also is explained in, 2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
God bless.
Just 1 scripture shows whether what you said is true or false:
John 1:1
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
"...WORD WAS GOD."
Is Jesus the Word? Yes, John 1:14.
This verse is like kryptonite to those who don't want to believe in Jesus's divinity, because it leaves no room for creative interpretation. Anti-Jesus folks hate this verse and will perform all kinds of mental gymnastics to try to make it mean something else, but it doesn't work. It already means exactly what it says.
But is that the only verse saying that Jesus is God? There's more...
1 John 5:7
Genesis 1:26
Genesis 11:6-7
John 10:30
John 8:19
John 1:1
Philippians 2:5 - 2:8
2 Corinthians 5:19
John 1:3
1 John 5:7
Matthew 28:19
1 Peter 1:2
2 Corinthians 13:14
Deuteronomy 6:4
John 14:10
John 20:28
1 John 5:8
1 John 2:22-24
Isaiah 7:14 - Jesus is called Immanuel which means "God with us"
Matthew 1:23-25
Hebrews 1:8 "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom."
There is one aspect of reading the whole Bible & therefore gaining a working knowledge of its contents and another aspect of knowing all the intracacies of biblical Truth. I don't believe that on this side of Heaven, anyone can claim such knowledge, for often that runs very deep & we are not privy to all the circumstances, the people & the background in those accounts. Indeed, we need to always grow in the knowledge of the Word, but that takes time & shouldn't be an excuse to prohibit us from reaching out to others.
You have a very genuine love for the Lord & to share that love with others. Your testimony, your full belief in the Truth of the Gospel & the power therein ( Romans 1:16), & a readiness to speak with people where they're at in their lives, offering them the hope that you also have in Christ, is all you need. God's Spirit in you will surely delight to use you, for this is the very reason for His Coming ( John 16:8): to speak forth the Good News to those sitting in darkness ( Luke 1:79) - that you might be His mouthpiece to declare the Glory of God & of His Son & shine His Light. Yes, there will be testing times (Satan does not appreciate his dark evil domain being infused with God's Light), but "greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world" ( 1 John 4:4). Do you believe that brother? Then you can trust Him for not only that power to witness, but to minister to your family needs, job situation, rejection by others, & so on. Faith is indeed the victory that overcomes the world (1 John 5:4) & the Spirit in you knows this & will honour His Presence & His Word - that you will lack nothing & remain fearless in your walk in Christ. I leave this great Benediction with you - in Hebrews 13:20,21. Every blessing.
Acts 1:8
Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part in me.
John 13:6-8
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Excepta man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:5
And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Phillip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
Acts 8:38
And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Phillip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 8:39
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
Ephesians 5:26
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
Acts 10:47
But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
John 19:34
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1 John 5:6
In that day shall the branch of the LORD ne beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even ecery one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
Isaiah 4:2-3

You state: "I don't believe there's any special formula for salvation other than surrendering to Christ and receiving His Spirit."
Respectfully, I think there is more to it than you expressed, and I believe Jesus does have "a special formula", and it is outlined throughout the bible. I say this so others will not take lightly their salvation, and hopefully they will study the scriptures on their own, to satisfy themselves that they are really following God's requirements "per the bible scripture."
John 3:5
"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
John 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
1 John 5:3
"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."
John 14:15
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."
John 14:21
"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."
Jesus tells us that he will be our Judge, and he tells us what he will be looking for in us in order to enter into the Kingdom: Revelation 22:12-14
God Bless.
Confess every sin that the Holy Spirit calls to your remembrance and accept God's forgiveness ( 1 John 1:9).
Seek forgiveness from all whom you have offended, and forgive all who have hurt you ( Mark 11:25; Luke 11:4; 17:3,4).
Make restitution as the Holy Spirit leads you.
Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit according to His command in Ephesians 5:18 and His promise in 1 John 5:14,15.
Surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master; refuse to obey your worldly nature ( Romans 12:1,2).
Meditate on the attributes of God, His love, sovereignty, power, wisdom, faithfulness, grace, compassion, and others ( Psalm 48:9,10; 103:1-8, 11-13).
Begin your time of fasting and prayer with an expectant heart ( Hebrews 11:6).
Do not underestimate spiritual opposition. Satan sometimes intensifies the natural battle between body and spirit ( Galatians 5:16,17).
If you're married with kids, you'll still need to care for them. Attend to your duties, then excuse yourself back to your "closet".
I fast from food and ALL MEDIA. The idea is fast from food, AND feast on the Word of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to shield you from interruptions, like phone calls, people who drop in unannounced or uninvited.
Have on hand, bouillon, fruit juice, lots of water. Jesus hungered after his fast. (he drank water.)
If you are diabetic or on serious meds, check your blood sugar if you feel bad. Dehydration will stop a fast.
Read the Gospels. Spend time in praise and worship. You can do this at work with headphones on. Whatever you do; no long faces. Bathe and dress normal.
Write Eph. 6 on a piece of paper and keep it before you. Don't tell anyone you're on fast. Just your husband. Satan will try to make you mad, feel unspiritual. Jesus used SCRIPTURE to counter attack satans attacks.
It's good to read aloud. We have gates: ears, eyes, mouth, a heart of joy. The Word goes in through all gates.
When we die it is the same as when we sleep, we are not conscious, we are asleep in Jesus, Psalm 146:4 Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 we have no knowledge of our surroundings or time. This is the spirit that goes back to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7.
1 Thessalonians 4:14, when Jesus returns, this earth is round and those that are Christs will come from all over, and we see different places describing the gathering, Matthew 24:31, Mark 13:27, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 along with Jesus, God brings those that are Christs with Him, the second coming back to earth to set up the kingdom on earth. I understand those who believe in the rapture being carried to heaven will disagree.
Soul; Hebrew, nephesh, meaning a soul, living being animal or human, life, self, person, desire, passion, appetite, emotion. Greek psuch meaning, life, as the seat of affections and will, the self, the conscience, the individual. In our conscience that is in our soul is where the battle of the desires of the flesh and the Spirit. This is what remains asleep in the grave where ever the grave may be, awaiting resurrection when we put on immortality. Psalms 49:15 John 5:28-29
When are we absent from this body? 2 Corinthians 2:6-10 When do we appear at the judgment seat? 1 Thessalonians 2:19 1 Corinthians 15:22-23. When is a corn plant absent from its seed is it not when it springs forth from its grave of the earth? We are sown and until we are resurrected, being changed like the corn seed from corruption to incorruption, and this mortal puts on immortality being freed from this body of corruption, then we will be present with the Lord.
Sorry I got wordy I am sure not all will agree but that is ok this is just what I see.
God bless us all in the love of Jesus.

Are not the BORN AGAIN to never see death?
Matthew 16:28 ....There be some standing here, which shall no taste of death, .....
John 5:24 ....but is passed from death unto life.
John 8:51 ....he shall never see death.
In the twinkling of an eye DEATH is swallowed up in VICTORY
Colossians 1:13 ....And hath TRANSLATED US into the kingdom of his dear Son:
His powerful, yet succinct Words to us are, "to be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves" ( Matthew 10:16), for indeed, we as Christ's Church are in the "midst of wolves", & we are not to be ignorant of the evil one's devices in urging those wolves on & upon us. Yet, when under attack, & they come from a myriad of sources, our response needs to be one as was written of our High Priest: "One who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens" ( Hebrews 7:26). As even the apostle urged us, to "be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world" ( Philippians 2:15).
Our light can only truly shine when Christ's Light shines through us. If there's only a flicker, the world will never be moved, they remain in darkness & our flicker of light might even be extinguished. As the world sees us in full submission desiring only that the Lord's Name be lifted up, they might also see how Jesus submitted to His Father's Will going the full distance to the Cross for them. That joy & peace that was the Lord's continual possession even to enduring the Cross, must be our portion as well, even in manifold trials & exercises of faith - and thus we can always follow peace with all men. Every blessing brother.
Chris,
I am not catholic! However, what I was referring too is that these books are not listed in the bible (66 books). It was originally in the old KJV bible 1610, but was removed. I do not believe in purgatory and praying for the dead.

Brother Chris,
The second question, first I do not believe anyone can deny the divinity of Jesus or His pre-existence of everything. ( Colossians 1:16) He was the beginning of creation and through Him, everything that is was created. The Son of God was with, from, and was the word of God.
I feel our mind with the preconceived ideas over the years, plugs our ears and blinds our eyes. It is like the word beginning when we see or hear the word beginning eternity pops in our head. It is like ( John 1:1-2). God has no beginning so, what is this beginning in John 1?
Scripture tells us God is from everlasting to everlasting, it tells us Jesus is the only begotten Son, the beginning of creation, but scripture does not tell us when or how he was begotten other than it was before creation and when He came in the flesh. Jesus is of God, and from God, the Son of God even the demons knew who He was and did not call Him God, ( Matthew 8:28) ( Mark 5:7) ( Luke 8:28).
In John 1, John is writing this after Jesus had ascended, in the beginning, is when the Messiah/Jesus first came, the beginning of His ministry, He was the word of God, the Word was God because it was from God, in Him was life and the light of men. John the Baptist was sent to be a witness of this light who was Jesus, and this light cometh to all in the world. It "shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not". As then the same today.
Jesus now was in the world that He made and they did not know him, He went to his own/Israel and they rejected Him. But as many that received Him became sons of God born again into the kingdom of God not of the will of the flesh but of the Father.
The word of God was made flesh, in scripture everything Jesus said or did was told to Him by God, ( John 5:30) Jesus was the word of God. In ( 1John 1:1-7) John's opening is similar to his opening in John 1, he is confirming John 1.
I hope this makes sense?
God bless,
RLW
Thanks for sharing & trusting us with your heart-felt information. I myself for several years found many movies very awkward & surprisingly inappropriate especially within family/friend settings. That may have more to do with our spiritual convictions, exposing the hidden evils & persuasions deeply enbedded. Maybe try game nights instead. Trips to beaches, parks, waterfalls, nature themed. Places you can let GOD's creation declare HIS goodness, while you speak the WORD.
Deuteronomy 6:7, Ephesians, 5:26, 2 Corinthians 4:17
Jesus also corrected John 5:14
Praying for you to have clear direction, discernment, wisdom & perseverance, hope & encouragement. I also pray their hearts will turn from things, words, actions & attitudes that displease the LORD & disrespect your faith, instead to things, attitudes, actions & conversations= that are pleasing to the LORD.
I have come to a place where understanding 'pure love casts out all fear' being love & trust in GOD. Hope this helps.
1. Isaiah 7:14 - People called Jesus Immanuel which means "God with us"
2. John 10:30 "I and my Father are one."
3. John 8:19 "if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also."
4. John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
"Word WAS God."
5. Philippians 2:5 - 2:8 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:"
"form of God"
"equal with God"
6. John 1:3 - All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Jesus made everything.
7. John 14:10 "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works."
8. John 20:28
"And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God."
9. 1 John 5:8 "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."
10. Genesis 1:26 - "And God said, Let us make man in our image"
"Let us make" - plural.
What I gather from this is they are different but the same. We will probably never 100% comprehend this until after this life. The Son is not the Father and the Father is not the Son, but it says they made everything together, are in each other, have similar form, they both have great power to do miracles, and both are referred to as God in the Bible.
Is the Holy Spirit a person?
Jehovah's is a spirit ( Psalm 83:18; John 4:24). and he made his Angels spirits ( psalm 104:4);
and he blew his spirit into Adam nostril "the breath of life." when a men or human dies, his breath goes out. and the spirit returns to God (not the flesh itself.. because the body is flesh made from dust - Genesis 2:7).
the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, these qualities is his spirit. this he has created men in his image to display these qualities to take care of the earth. -
Galatians 5:22,23
According to Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus said go therefore baptizing in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit (the accurate term is holy spirit because John 4:24 accurately says spirit). Also, Jesus is not God ( John 5:19) but he was raised up as a spirit again; and he is a Angel.- John 14:28
Point: God can give his spirit to anyone to serve his purpose- Luke 1:35. if we worship God, we must worship with spirit and truth- john 4:24. anyone who want to worship in truth...should believe in the word of God ( 2 Timothy 3:16,17). by this God will give his spirit and truth will speak.
To illustrate: person 1, person 2, and person 3 are all different people. God will and can give his spirit to person 2 to carry out a particular task. God may want person 2 to completes that task fully. he may use person 3 or person 1 to do something completely different or accomplish the same purpose. (so yes the spirit basically belongs to God, because he is a spirit and the source of distributing that spirit to accomplish his purpose.- Genesis 1:1,26,27 ). no human can force God to do this or that. he is the boss of the spirit.- Isaiah 43:11-13

John 3:16,17
Revelation 21:3-5
Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE BODY and ONE SPIRIT .....
Christ, (which is, and which was, and which is to come Revelation 1:8); IS, the ONLY ONE BODY. The VESSEL of the ONLY ONE SPIRIT. We (the firstfruits of SPIRIT)( 1 Corinthians 15:23)( Romans 8:23) become the BODY OF CHRIST ( 1 Timothy 6:16)( 1 Corinthians 15:52-55).
The SPIRIT (the source of POWER) provides ALL, the BODY does all the LABOUR. Christ has everything needed at his disposal at all times; but the SPIRIT ONLY releases it (the power)to THE BODY at the given moment it is required. I am not saying that Christ IS NOT GOD, because HE IS; it takes both (faith and labour)( James 2:17) to be GOD, SPIRIT (the SOURCE) and THE BODY (the LABOUR).
Everything is done by SPIRIT (the WORKS of the FATHER) THROUGH (the labour) of the SON.
Christ emptied HIMSELF of the Father's glory ( John 17:5) that he had with him since the beginning, and became sinful flesh, to be destroyed.
He does't know in advance the second coming, because he is given what is required, as it is required ( John 5:19)( John 5:30), just as we are ( John 15:5). We are being created like him A VESSEL OF THE SPIRIT ( Revelation 10:11).
1 Corinthians 15:28 When ALL THINGS shall be SUBJECTED to him, then shall the Son ALSO HIMSELF be SUBJECT to him (the source of power) that put all things under him that GOD (Spirit, Truth, Life) may be ALL IN ALL.
Hebrews 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put ALL in subjection under him, he left nothing that IS NOT PUT under him, But we see NOT YET (but we will see; at the resurrection of the dead) ALL THINGS put under him.
Obadiah 1:21 And SAVIOURS ( John 17:21) shall come upon mount Zion to JUDGE the mount of Esau (the world); and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.
Isaiah 26:9 ....when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS.
