Hi Richard, good thoughts, just a few questions to study for the truth.

I agree, "Somethin' ain't right here with the logic." Many have tried to calculate how close we are and only God the Father knows. My understanding of a generation is the average life from birth to death. The 120 years in Genesis was the warning God gave, they had 120 years to repent until the flood came and wiped them all out except the 8.

I assume the generation you are referencing is the one in Matt. 24 Mark 13 Luke 21. My understanding is they have a dual meaning some things are for the future and many things were for then. Jesus said that generation vipers, evil, adulterous, wicked, sinful, faithless, perverse, and "That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation" Matt.23:33-39.

"This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled" is where the division of understanding comes. What did Jesus mean when He said till all be fulfilled? Was it all prophesied up to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple we see in Daniel 9? Was it all until He returns? Was it part of both? We must remember at the time Jesus told them this they did not even know He was going to be crucified, Mark 16:14 Luke 9:44-45 Luke 18:31-34 Luke 24:6-8 Luke 24:44-45.



Jesus said when you see the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel, flee Judea. History tells us all the believers in Jesus got that warning and fled to Pella a region across the Jordan river and were saved. Many today place this with saying the antichrist is the he in Dan.9:27, 7-year tribulation, and the rapture of the Church.

Has the 70-week prophecy been fulfilled? How would that change the rapture theory as taught? If we are looking to be taken out before the tribulation and that does not happen, would that be the hour of temptation and the falling away? The seven-year cleanup, could they be the first seven years of the millennium?

Psalm 74

We see the theme here as in much of the Book of Lamentations where God appears to have cast His presence from His people. When we get to chapter 3; verse 31 He promises not to "cast them off forever." Isaiah 26:20 describes God Himself stating that He had turned away for a short time but would return with mercy. Again; the final prophetic application would appear to be in Revelation (or the time of Jacob's trouble in Jeremiah 30:7).

The "perpetual desolations" in verse 3 of this Psalm remind us of the "Abomination of Desolation" when the Temple is overtaken by Antichrist much as it was with Antiochus Epiphanes earlier in Daniel 9:25-27 and quoted by Christ starting in Matthew 24:15.

Verse 8 is as far as I know the only passage in scriptures mentioning the word synagogues; here they were being burned up by the enemy; likely prophetic of the Babylonians and of course the end times. Blasphemy as seen in Revelation 13 is mentioned in verse 18. The prophets being seen no more could refer ahead to the intertestamental times or again when there is vision sought in the end times by false prophets who predicted peace; peace when there is no peace ( Jeremiah 6:14).

Verse 20 implores God to "have respect unto the Covenant" as related; no doubt to the Promised Land. Once again the poor and needy are sought out as those who the Lord will restore; and the Psalm ends with a plea not to forget those enemies and their "tumult". Surely God will come soon; but will there be any faith on the earth when that Day comes? (See Luke 18:8).

Thanks for your breakdown of Luke 18:8. However I was just pulling out one word out of the text and that word is "Speedily". My attempt was to show this is the word used in Revelation 1:1 when you used that verse and presented it as a time line.

The word Speedily in Luke 18:8 is the same word used in Revelation 1:1 also in many other places in scripture.

The way you interpreted the scripture in Luke using word speedily/shortly is the same way you should interpret it in Revelation 1:1.

It's important to read Luke 18:8 in it's proper context. The context for v8 is given in v7.

God is seen to delay until the time comes when he will avenge his people at which time he will then act speedily. This will happen when Jesus returns, at which time, he will send His angels to gather his elect on the very same day that he will pour out his wrath on the unbelievers.

It will be just like it was when God sent his angels to rescue Lot before pouring out his wrath on Sodom. The angels removed Lot from Sodom on the very same day that God poured out his wrath on Sodom.

Please tell me why you believe the 7 Churches in Revelation represent the complete Church throughout history?

The text makes no such claim and to say that it does is to misrepresent what Christ has said.

So, I'm interested to know where you sourced this erroneous belief.



PS Revelation 1:19, doesn't give the chronological order of the book of Revelation, because in the very first chapter we see that Revelation 1:7 points to the return of Jesus Christ which is an example of how Revelation is not written in strict chronological order.

As Christians, the doctrine we hold must stand up to biblical scrutiny and must be provable from the scriptures otherwise we risk

being deceived by false doctrine.

I agree there were local Churches, and these letters was written to them. I believe these 7 Churches represents the complete Church throughout history with 7 representing completeness. #7 is significant throughout scripture.

Also, by what is omitted, (Several other Churches such as the Church in Antioch, Rome, certainly the Church in Jerusalem. And many others founded in scripture.)

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants' things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

" Things which must shortly come to pass" cannot be designated to just chapters 1,2 and 3. The word "shortly" used here I believe is the same word used in Luke 18:8 "I tell you that he will avenge them SPEEDILY. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Speedily) is the same word used here in Revelation.

Vs 3. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this "PROPHECY" and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (This is a prophecy.) so it takes you beyond a local application.

I'm not trying to change your view; I'm just presenting mine.

And as I mentioned I believe Revelation 1:19 gives the chronological order of the book of Revelation. (All 22 chapters.)

The messages are a composite, and they had a direct msg to the Churches in Johns Day, and all 7 letters are appliable for us and all churches throughout church history as well the individual. And yes, the text is structured that way.

Ephesus represents the Apostolic Church; Laodicea represents the Apostate Church. I'm running out of space, perhaps I will share more on "The view I hold and why I hold it later.

However, I'm sure you've heard of this viewpoint so I'm not trying to sell it.

Hello Kiran. Just to briefly address your questions, since I'm unsure what answers you're expecting, I offer the following:

a. Idolatry in the Bible is committed when a person or people group create an idol to become a representative of the True God, and fall down to worship the idol. There is another form of idolatry when a person raises another person to such a high level that he/she becomes all that is time & mind consuming. We might find that not only in religious circles but also in the secular (e.g. pop culture). If Israel as a people or nation is worshipped or is representative of God, then that would be idolatry, but I know not of any instance of that happening. Or, if you're referring to the prominence we might given to Israel as a nation, then that is so because Israel was important to God then, as it is now, & will be in the future. But this is biblical fact not idolatry.

b. When Jesus came to Earth, He came in to usher in the New Covenant of God (that which was ratified through His Sacrifice for the sins of mankind). I don't recall Jesus ever condemning the idolatry performed by those people or nations described in the Old Testament, since Jesus' Coming & Ministry was primarily to the Jewish people. Yet, He did make reference to things that can be idolatrous to them, such as the story of the rich man ( Luke 18:18-23), where his wealth was his idol (he put it first before loving & serving God). Or Matthew 6:24, where one cannot serve God & mammon (Gk. mamonas = riches, possessions, property; Jesus is asking, 'Who is your god?' 'Is it the offerings of the world (idolatry), or God Himself?' In Jesus' Day, the Jews didn't keep idols of wood or stone to worship, but idolatry of other things were rampant, just as it is today, where we have found other things to take the place of God to try & satisfy our inner longings & questions. The Romans (rulers at that time) of course, had many gods, including the Caesar whom they deified.

The true gift of Bible prophecy

When we see the prophecy of Agabus in Acts 11; we see evidence of a Word given by an unknown saint to the church as to events soon to come. An individual word of knowledge came to Paul as to what would happen when he went to Jerusalem in Acts 21. These two examples show that most prophecy has unpleasant ramifications whether it if for a nation; individual or group of people. Comparison with today's prosperity gospel type of messages there is little or no scriptural precedence for "declared" blessings of financial success. The irony is that tends to eliminate the TRUE messages of God's promotion of certain individuals for unique ministries and great works for the Kingdom of God. When the successful saint is seen to have promotion; wealth and privileges in this world the verse about what is "highly exalted among men is an abomination to God" ( Luke 16:15).

Try telling Christ who had "no place to lay His head" ( Luke 9:58); or the disciples who said they had given up all things to follow Him ( Luke 18:28); or Christ telling others that it was harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than a camel to go through the eye of a needle ( Matthew 19:23).

Another part of the problem is that people don't trust that God works good through all things for those who love God ( Romans 8:28). This could signify personal trials; or those affecting the nations of the world (war; famine; pestilence); and even the great multitude of the Tribulation are the fruit of the crucible God has placed to test all those who dwell on the earth ( Rev. 3:10).

I believe that any TRULY Born Again individual can do great things; and has time perhaps to do even greater things than Jesus in some sense ( John 14:12-14). This could only refer to the same Holy Spirit working quantitatively in a lifetime more than Jesus had time to do in 3.5 years of ministry, and primarily sign and wonder miracles were meant for the Apostles.

Old Testament law: Deuteronomy 16:16, Exodus 34:23,24, Deuteronomy 31:11, Exodus 23:17, the dates of calendars have changed even the Hebrew / Jewish calendars. Moses through GOD established the beginning of the year to be the Passover, no calendar today honors that. Exodus 12:2, Exodus 12, Numbers 28:16,

Jesus honored these things, along with His parents (on earth) Luke 2:22,23, Luke 2:41-49, John 4:45, John 5:1, John 10:22,23, even those who opposed Jesus expected Jesus to honor the appointed days : John 11:54-57, John 12, Even facing His own brutal death: Matthew 20:17,18 , Mark 10:32,33,34 do you think HE knew He was the Lamb,: Luke 2:38, Luke 18:31, that was going to be slain for Passover? That's why HE told them, as HE obediently set his face to go? Luke 9:51,

It may be an unresolved sin you have hidden, something you have put aside and then forgotten about. U must remember if you have promised the Lord something you have not done. Search the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will show you if you want to see it.

Once, many years ago, I met a lady who told me: God helps those who help themselves. I have thought about these words many many times. And tryed if they can suit you too. :) See it this way and forgive me if I'm wrong. If you are going to have something that you need in your food supply, you go and buy it, right. Physically we have to go, nothing comes up in our hands as we often wish. God will bless you in yours if it is in truth. And remember and use what you have received in the spirit. Then it will increase to the brim. I pray for u, Jesus loves u and i in Christ. You must surrender until Jesus Christ and does not hide anything. In the last few years GOD has placed forgiveness on my thoughts for people, some had already passed. Some wrongs I had forgotten but as I remembered, GOD would remind me to forgive.

There are moments we have deep regrets, especially when a loved one is passed on. I have prayed similarly as you & felt peace because nothing is impossible with GOD, Luke 1:37, Mark 10:27, Luke 18:27, Matthew 19:26,

Interesting question. Most excellent Theopholis in Luke 1:1-4 apparently addressed someone as a nobleman as to who the book was written to. The man who couldn't have demons cast out in Mark 9:29 addressed whichever disciples had a failed attempt to cast it out. The conversation when Jesus said you will see a man with an colt tied up and to ask his permission was recorded in Luke 19:30-34. Matthew 17:24-25 definitely shows Peter having a conversation with the tax collector. Then there is the verse in Luke 18:39 which could refer to the Disciples complaining or telling someone to be quiet; and similar references where they were mentioned to be trying to stop someone who was also doing healings and the like in Luke 9:50.

It seems most things were not too edifying that the disciples tried to do to interfere with what people were doing in Christ's presence. Sad commentary; but again before Pentacost many things were hidden from them. It seems there is no named individual who was mentioned; even with Christ until the trial immediately preceeding His death. We do see; however John the Baptist and his interaction which eventuallly caused him to be martyred. There were clearly interactions necessary to procure the healing of Peter's mother in law; and for Christ to give the Apostle John the care of His mother at His death.
