    31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

    32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

    33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

    Comment: marriage vows are an oath.

    Very often children get emotionally hurt in mix&match marriages. I don't know if children are involved in this situation. My best advice is to speak to your Pastor or a Christian counselor.

    If you are not an Israelite you can not sin as the laws were not given to you, neither can you enter the kingdom of Heaven. It's only for the House of Israel, 12 tribes. I am happy to show you in the scriptures

    Moses gave the commandments to the Israelites when they came out of Egypt: the house of bondage. No other nation have been given the laws. You can't break laws you were never given.

    outer perimeter of the kingdom as seen in a vision by John the Revelator. 12 gates for twelve tribes guarded by twelve angels.

    Sissy, may CHRIST IN US GRACE US with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    There are TWO deaths, TWO resurrections and TWO judgements.

    The FIRST death was Christ's death on the cross, the FIRST resurrection was Christ resurrection and the FIRST judgement is the JUDGEMENTS (TRUTHS) of God's word.

    God's WORD says WE (sinful flesh) died (first death, you died to Christ) on the cross with Jesus, we were RESURRECTED (first resurrection) with him and our life is HID in Christ, we are being JUDGED (first judgement) by the TRUTH of God's word NOW.

    If you AGREE with this TRUTH and this TRUTH becomes a reality (LIFE) to you; you will be TRANSLATED to the LIKENESS of CHRIST at the death of this body of flesh and will never see death.

    If this TRUTH does't become a reality to you; you will died and lay in the grave until the SECOND resurrection, SECOND death (you have to die to Christ), SECOND judgement (truths of God's WORD).

    ALL MANKIND is going to become sons of God; but God does it in HIS time frame or in HIS different AGES.

    Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature (mankind) WAITETH for the manifestation of the sons of God (those in the first resurrection that are TRANSLATED into the LIKENESS of Christ and never see death).

    Romans 8:21 Because the creature (mankind) ITSELF also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption (death and the grave, second resurrection) into the glorious LIBERTY of the children of God (second death and second judgement).

    The Scripture that makes the matter of divorce clear, is Jesus' Own Words in Matthew 19:3-8, where He stated that divorce was never in God's Plan in the union of man & woman but was only permitted on the grounds of fornication; i.e. where the marriage bed was defiled because of the infidelity of one partner who broke the holy union of the "two becoming one flesh".

    And since an illegal divorce opens the way for both parties to consider re-marriage, then this too results in breaking God's Commandment concerning an adulterous relationship. So we turn to the Apostle Paul who, in 1 Corinthians 7:3-5, gives a further comment for believers. They ought to remember that Christian couples now equally share in each other's lives & that a proper response of "benevolence" (love, respect, kindness) to be shown to each other.

    Verse 5: Paul instructed those who had marriage problems to "not defraud (deprive) each other (of this benevolence)". But in a state of hopelessness, they could separate for a time, being in prayer & fasting, seeking help & healing of their matters from the Lord. The whole point of this was to prevent the marriage from being dissolved & that all steps should be taken for both to stay together & have their differences healed & their love & respect return.

    You write of one being emotionally abused. I would say that the offender needs to be made aware of his/her callous actions. If no consideration is given or change seen, then professional counselling would be next (from the Pastor or another counsellor). If this attitude still persists, then seek a separation for a time using it to consider the damage being done to the other & gain help & guidance from the Lord. If all fails, I would say that a final separation or a divorce is in order as ongoing verbal abuse is just one step short of physical abuse, though realizing that after this, neither spouse can re-marry again, at least from the biblical instructions we learn on this matter. The Lord be with you.

    Ray, If you've accepted Jesus as your saviour, then you have not committed the unpardonable sin.

    Rejecting Jesus is the unpardonable sin

    Luke 12:9

    But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

    Speaking out against God isn't unpardonable, denying him is.

    I AGREE AND BELIEVE everything Jesse said in his comment to you. I will expand MY BELIEF a little more.

    I BELIEVE that Christ; with the elect, are and will judge the world (Satan's kingdom that Christ took back at HIS resurrection). ( Matthew 4:8-9) ( Revelation 11:15) ( 1 Corinthians 6:2) ( 1 Peter 4:17)

    I BELIEVE the parable of the workers; those called to work in God's vineyard, are the elect. Those called in the first hour are the apostles and others that took part in Pentecost. Since that first hour other workers have been called; till the present hour. Ourselves now being judged by the word of God; by our brothers before us, they being ONE IN CHRIST; have also become THE WORD, the BOOKS. ( Revelation 20:12) ( Revelation 20:4)

    Just to add to this subject. As I also see the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven to be one and the same. Knowing also the details Jesse stated. As I was reading I just came across Jesus Christ using both terms coinciding. Matthew 19:23-24.

    That is interesting. Do you know why Matthew used the phrase kingdom of heaven, but Mark and Luke use kingdom of God? I was taught that both kingdom of heaven and kingdom of God are the same. But since Matthew wrote his gospel to the Jews, and the Jews would not say the name God (They say, Hashem, which means "The Name)," that is why Matthew says kingdom of heaven, and not kingdom of God. But Mark and Luke say kingdom of God because both their gospels were written to the Gentiles. Very interesting!

    If I may ask, what is the difference between heaven and the kingdom of God?

    The Kingdom of God is NOT referring to Heaven. It is referring to God's purpose for our life. Know the difference between Heaven and the Kingdom of God.

    "Thou shalt not kill", ( Exodus 20;13). which includes yourself. How can you ask for forgiveness if you're dead? The scriptures say, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind" ( 1 Corinthians 6:9, King James Version).

    So, when he said "nor abusers of themselves with mankind", I would think that means those (humans) who hurt themselves, will not go to heaven.

    However, the Lord says " So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" ( Isaiah 41:10).

    When you read God's words He is always speaking to you.

    In Matthew 16:13, Jesus asks the question, "Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? He's asking for public opinion because, in Verse 13, the disciples answered and said that some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

    So the disciples gave the public opinion. You see, almost everyone has an opinion about who Jesus is. But Jesus asks another question in Matthew 16:15. He asks "But whom say ye that I am?"

    The first question is public opinion. And then Jesus gets down to the "nitty-gritty." He gets down to the personal question. He says unto them, but who do you say that I am? That's the public opinion. Now, I want to know who you say that I am?

    Notice Peter's confession in Verse 16: Simon Peter answered and said "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

    There are two parts to this confession. And this is very important. The first part says "Thou art the Christ," HO CHRISTOS, the Christ. Christ is the translation of the Greek word that is the same as the Hebrew word for Messiah, MASHIACH, and it means the anointing.

    The Jews believed that when Messiah came, He would be the anointing of God in human form. And that's who He is. Peter says "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

    Here's something else that is very important. If you ever care to look up that phrase, "Son of the living God," not from a religious standpoint, but just look up the phrase itself from a Hebrew standpoint, you will find out that is the phrase that is used for God.

    So when he said "The Son of the living God," that is a title of God to the Jews. So, what Peter was confessing was you are the Messiah, and you are God. Wow, what a Confession!

    What is the motive for this campaign to discredit Jesus's divinity? Why do you celebrate when you feel you have delivered your case? Does this actually come from God, or does it actually come from the great deceiver?

    Some of these comments even have a sense of pride- as if demeaning Jesus is an accomplishment to be proud of. Whomever is behind this campaign seems quite closed off to just normal, non-distorted interpreations of the Word.

    Shame on you and everyone who is attacking and trying to discredit the Bible and demean Jesus. I find these posts disturbing and even sickening to think that Christians are giving into a lie so easily without question. But the truth will always expose the lie. Jesus is Lord and Jesus is divine and Jesus is the Son and Jesus is one with the Father and Holy Spirit, Jesus is the I AM, Jesus is God just as the Bible says.

    Jesus spoke his Father's word.

    The Father spoke through him.

    The Father is the one that doeth the works. Who is the Father? The Holy Spirit ( John 4:24, Leviticus 11:44)

    I need prayer for better understanding of Gods word, and Gods will for me and what He would want me to do for Him and others. I also need prayer that I am able to find a life partner that also believes in God and would want to live according to Gods will. I have read in the Bible that if you are married and get divorced, you can ONLY remarry if the other person cheated on you, if not then you would be committing adultery. I don't want to go to hell just because I got remarried. I need prayer that there would be a different understanding of the verses below. I have been married before, I am not the one who cheated, my wife may or may not have. She said at one time she slept with my cousin, then another time she said she didn't, that he told her to tell me that. So I am not sure what this would fall under. I list the verses below on what Jesus say about Divorce and remarriage.

    In 1 Corinthians 7:13-15, we read of a marriage that has a Christian spouse & a non-Christian spouse. If they're happy to remain together (in spite of their differences & associated problems), then they should keep the sanctity of the marriage by remaining together. However (in v 15), if the non-Christian spouse really wants to separate or divorce, he/she shouldn't be stopped from doing so & they should separate.

    BUT, for many Christians they now see that a licence is given here for a re-marriage to take place, because the verse says, "A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases". This is not the case. Paul means that a Christian should not be in 'bondage' (or, being caged or chained up in a constant state of suffering, abuse or hatred) because of being compelled to hold the marriage together; one party should be free to go.

    Nevertheless, the other Scripture remains in force, "And I (Jesus) say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." ( Matthew 19:9). So, if there's a separation/divorce, the believing spouse has to remain unmarried or else they would be committing adultery. The reference to "fornication", given by the Lord, was when it was found out by a spouse, during the betrothal or after a marriage had taken place, that there was 'uncleanness' in the other: i.e. where one was unfaithful at that time. In those days, the betrothal period was part of the marriage bond - not like today, when a couple could opt to cancel the engagement for any reason.

    This is not true, CHRIST Himself was well known all around , and his fame went throughout the land.

    If you are not known, who will come to you?

    Don't judge the rich or poor, fame or not, rich or not.

    Often we misunderstand the depth of meanings.

    King is famous , is it not?

    LORD is king of the kings, Is he not?

    If you are poor, or rich, love and charity is important.

    At the sermon on the mountain

    Blessed are the poor, there is kingdom of heaven.

    The word poor is mistranslated. Poor is beggars of spirit.

    what that means is, someone who prays to GOD, which is beggar of spirit.

    Someone who searches for higher power then the earth.

    This is beggar of spirit.

    Someone who goes to temples and churches are beggars of spirit.

    Someone who wants to Know GOD, and LORD, and searches for GOD.

    is beggar of the GOD's spirit.

    It is not dry and cut, it is how we live.

    Love is main foundation in begging for spirit.

    In love we don't judge others. Only GOD is the judge.

    The high and mighty, the rich, the famous, the masters of this world, will be rejected from the kingdom, but those on the out, the poor, the excluded, the homeless and degraded, they are holy, and those who stand with them, who give up their material goods and reject their families and their wealth and their inheritance, they are loved by GOD and will be the first in the kingdom and glory
