It is God's will for all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth ( 1 Timothy 2:4) but not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven ( Matthew 7:21).
Many will say unto me that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? ( Matthew 7:22).
And then will I profess unto themI never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity ( Matthew 7:23).

This has been made almost impossible because of people's natural conditioning ( Matthew 19:23-26), as the devil (your natural spirit) has you convinced through man-made teachings and religious doctrines, that you are a child of God ( Matthew 15:7-9).

Life is tough, no doubt about it. Jesus never meant it to be easy. He said in this world we will have trouble. The promise, however, it that He has overcome this world. When we remember our calling and our inheritance in heaven, we will more adequately keep our eyes fixed upon Him Who will keep us in perfect peace no matter what difficulties come our way. As Isaiah 26:3 says, "The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You." It is a challenge to stay the course and be steadfast, but if we can keep our minds fixed upon Christ and rest upon Him by faith, He will keep us in perfect peace. The Christian life is not easy, but it can be one of great joy, incomprehensible peace, intimacy with our Lord, and rest for our souls.
Part 5.
They have a ready hearing among most people, because they say only what people like to hear. Just as did ancient Israel in Jeremiah's time, people today like it that way ( Jer. 5:31). They want to hear illusions, not truth. They are enamored with pleasure and fantasy and resent being confronted with anything disquieting and condemnatory. They want encouragement but not correction, positive words but not negative truth. They will accept grace as long as it is cheap grace and does not reflect against their own sinfulness, inadequacies, and lostness.
The creed of the false prophet, if he has any at all, will be vague, indefinite, and ethereal. No demanding truth will be absolute or clear-cut, and every principle will be easy and attractive.
False prophets can also be identified by their converts and followers. They will attract to themselves people who have the same superficial, self-centered, and unscriptural orientation as they do. "Many will follow their sensuality:" Peter tells us, "and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned" ( 2 Pet. 2:2). They have many followers because they teach and promote what the majority of people want to hear and believe (cf. 2 Tim. 4:3).
Their followers will be like them-egotistical, proud, self-centered, self-indulgent, self-willed, and self-satisfied, while being religious. They will be both self-oriented and group-oriented, but never God-oriented or Scripture-oriented.
God has not ordained false prophets, but He has ordained that they exist. Paul explains to the Corinthian church, "There must also be factions among you, in order that those who are approved may have become evident among you" ( 1 Cor. 11:19). False factions will act as magnets to attract others who are false. In that indirect way they will help protect true believers by partly separating the chaff from the wheat.

It is nearly always the case that false prophets will attract avowed unbelievers as well as nominal and carnal believers. He appeals to the natural man and carefully avoids anything that is offensive to man's proud, fallen nature. He makes a point of being attractive, likeable, and of giving no offense.
A second area in which a false prophet can be judged is that of doctrine. Superficially what he teaches may seem biblical and orthodox, but careful examination will always reveal ideas that are unscriptural and the absence of a strong, clear theology. False ideas will be taught, or at least important truths will be omitted. Frequently there will be a combination of both. Eventually the fruit will show a tree for what it is, because a good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
The creed of false prophets never has a narrow gate or a narrow way. On the surface their message may sound difficult and demanding, but it will always rest on the foundation of man's works and will therefore always be accomplishable by man's own effort. They never reveal the depth or danger of sin and depravity, the need for repentance, forgiveness, and submission to the Lord, or the destiny of judgment, condemnation, and eternal destruction for those apart from God. There is no brokenness over sin and no longing after righteousness. They have easy answers for small problems. "They have healed the brokenness of My people superficially," Jeremiah says, "saying, 'Peace, peace,' but there is no peace" ( Jer. 6:14). There is no humility, no warning of judgment, and no call for repentance and a contrite heart of obedience.

Part 3
A person's basic character-his inner motives, standards, loyalties, attitudes, and ambitions-will eventually show through in what he does and how he acts. John the Baptist told the hypocritical Pharisees and Sadducees who came to be baptized to first "bring forth fruits in keeping with repentance" ( Luke 3:8). Their manner of living belied their claim that they loved and served God. When the multitude then asked John what good fruit was, he replied, "Let the man who has two tunics share with him who has none; and let him who has food do likewise" (v.11). To the tax-gatherers who asked what they should do, John said, "Collect no more than what you have been ordered to" (v. 13). John was saying that the person who is genuinely repentant and who truly trusts and loves God will also loveand help his fellow man (cf. James 2:15-17; 1 John 3:17; 4:20).
A person who belongs to Jesus Christ and who is called by God and given God's message will give evidence of good fruit both in his attitudes and his actions. A person who does not belong to God, especially a false prophet who claims to be God's messenger, will sooner or later manifest the bad fruit that the bad tree of his sensual life inevitably produces.
False prophets can disguise and hide their bad fruit for a while with ecclesiastical trappings, biblical knowledge, and evangelical vocabulary. They can cover it by belonging to Christian organizations, associating with Christian leaders, and by talking about divine things. But how they talk, act, and react when not in the view of Christians will eventually expose their true loyalty and convictions. What is in the heart will emerge, and corrupt theology will result in a corrupt life. False teaching and perverted living are inseparable, and eventually will become manifest.

It is possible for real Christians to be taken in by false prophets. When believers are careless about study of and obedience to the Word, lazy about prayer, and uncritical about the things of God, it is easy for them to be deceived by someone who pretends to be orthodox-especially if he is pleasant, positive, and permissive. When that happens, they are in danger of becoming grapes on thorn bushes and figs on thistles. Satan loves to use God's own people to promote his evil work, seeking, if it were possible, even to snatch them from their heavenly Father ( Matt. 24:24).
It is also possible for a tree itself to bear fruit that is colorful, well formed, and attractive, but which is bitter, distasteful, and even poisonous. That kind of bad tree with its bad fruit is much harder to judge than thorn bushes that have grapes on them or thistles that have figs on them. In the second case, both the tree and the fruit appear to be genuine. What it bears has to be examined carefully to determine if it is good fruit or bad fruit. A mature believe who has developed discernment can spot the bad tree and bad fruit ( Heb. 5:14).
Judging the fruit of false prophets, of course, is not nearly so easy as judging fruit in an orchard. But from Scripture we discover at least three primary tests we can apply in order to know. They are in the areas of character, creed, and converts.

Part 1
Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? ( Matthew 7:15-16)
After warning about false prophets, Jesus tells us what to watch for in identifying them. Because they are so extremely deceptive and dangerous ravenous spiritual and moral wolves in sheep's clothing-the Lord would hardly have left us without means of determining who they are.
Jesus assures us that we will know them by their fruits. A fruit tree may be beautiful, decorative, and offer pleasant shade in the summer. But its primary purpose is to bear fruit, and it is therefore judged by what it produces and not by how it looks.
Similarly a prophet-used in this passage in the broadest sense of one who speaks for God-is judged by his life, not simply by his appearance or his words. The kind of person he really is cannot help being revealed. Some false prophets are noticeably spurious and only the most gullible person would be taken in by them. Others conceal their true nature with remarkable skill, and only careful observation will expose them for what they are. But there is a true assurance in the statement you will know them. There is no need to be deceived if we look closely.
It is the cleverly deceptive false prophet that Jesus is speaking about here. No one needs help in deciding that a tree is bad if it bears shriveled, discolored, and obviously rotten fruit-or no fruit at all. It is the tree that appears to bear good fruit, but does not, that is deceptive.
It is possible for grapes to be stuck on thorn bushes and for figs to be stuck on thistles. From a distance they might appear to be growing on real fruit trees. Because the fruit is genuine, naive persons might conclude that the tree itself also has to be genuine.

Keep in mind also the difference between physically being preserved for a time and spiritual deliverance. These are both realities for the children of God in reverse order. In New Testament times as with Old many are called but few chosen ( Matt. 22:14). There are other verses showing how some experience some of the benefits of being in God's presence ( Hebrews 6:4) are still not ultimately saved. The parable of the sower and the seed illustrate this fact showing how the seed of truth must eventually not only take root but produce fruit. God enables that His Spirit reproduces good fruit in our lives as evidence that it is indwelling; not merely an external event. Hence all true believers are "sealed" until the Day of Redemption ( Ephesians 4:30).
In God's Providence there are some; such as the 1/3 that are preserved "going through the fire" ( Zechariah 13:9) who appear to make it physically through the Tribulation to repopulate the earth in the Millennium. That will include the handful of Gentiles that make it; although man is said in general to be "rarer than the gold of Ophir" who makes it through that way ( Isaiah 13:12).
Thus; these verses and a multitude of others makes it imperative that we "test ourselves to see if we are in the faith". ( 2 Corinthians 13:5). I personally believe that through God's sanctification process we all must get beyond our initial excitement over being a new believer as well as the trials of persecution AND temptations of the world to be "tested and approved" as true believers as part of the process of chastisement as God's adopted children. ( Romans 12:2; etc). The end of all those called and chosen in Him is glorification (read all of Romans 8:30).

This type of relationship is best described as God loving us DESPITE who we are which is unlike seemingly endless Christian songs that somehow lead us to believe that He loves us no matter what we do or who we are. Ultimately; God did rescue us from sin and sacrificed His Son even though we were "enemies of God" (Phillipians 3:18 and many other references). But He foreknew us as being "conformed to the image of His Son" ( Romans 8:29 and again numerous other verses on that subject). He only "knows" us therefore if He can see His Son in us and we are truly "seated in heavenly places" ( Eph. 2:6). As I have said many times recently; He chastises all those He loves (see Proverbs 3:12; Hebrews 12:6-7). What many don't read is the following verse ( Heb. 12:8) that states in that we are illegitimate children (I will avoid the harsher term KJV has as I don't want to be flagged but it pays to read it). We are; in fact either children of God or of the Devil. That was made quite clear to the Pharisees ( John 8:44).
Such passages shouldn't be foreign to us as parents. If we truly love our own offspring we don't want them flailing about in this world of endless dangers; toils and snares without discipline and guidane although sadly many parents even in the church are sorely deficient in parenting skills.
In our personal lives; and I am speaking to myself here-we need to be aware of our weaknesses (with me it tends to be obsessiveness with hobbies; music etc) and learn to trust Him to guide us so that we can do all things for the glory of God. ( 1 Cor. 10:31). Such is the case with this site as well. It is not just for my ranting.

With much study there indicates the treatment of "the least of these" is a major weight to GOD ALMIGHTY throughout the scriptures, Old & New Testament. I don't believe anyone is "saved" until we're judged by God after this life. If we're genuinely following Jesus in this life I believe we can have assurance of salvation. Lots of verses say this. But a genuine Christian should no longer a slave to sin- that doesn't mean we're free to commit sin, but the opposite. We're instead the Bible says we're to be slaves to righteousness. That doesn't mean we're earning anything, but means we're obeying as a real Christian should. I think many will assume they're following Jesus, but aren't. I think most don't take obedience very seriously and on judgment day will be shocked they aren't allowed to spend eternity with God in heaven. The reason I think this is because of what it says in the Bible. Matthew 7:21. Most people will go to hell, because that's what the Bible says.
God has an entirely different standard than the moral standard of this evil world. People assume committing sins is ok, but God hates sin. And many people keep committing sins intentionally. Many want to feel assured and validated for their sins as if its ok, but its really not ok. Not even close. God absolutely hates sin. It's disgusting and a slap in His face, a total defying of His commands. And satan has deceived many into believing that obeying God is "bad", but obeying the world is "ok." People will use all kinds of mental gymnastics to soothe themselves so they perceive themselves as a "good person," but that's a lie. All have sinned and have fallen short of God's standard. We are desperately in need of Jesus. Jesus saves His flock, but it doesn't say the Bible saves the wolves. Many are wolves and actually convinced themselves they're part of the flock. No, they are wolves. Most everyone in the world is one.
I don't know if you're asking for yourself or for someone else or neither, but hope this is helpful. It's written in love. Many are looking for validation, but truth is more important. Salvation may be at stake.
Matthew 7:7 says Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you and Psalms 5:12 says For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. I pray for you as you step out in search of a job, the favour of God shall compass you and you get that job that you seek In Jesus Name. Amen!

There are certain things which God may overlook; for a time for the greater purposes. Hosea 4:14 may be such a passage.
That entire book; in fact on the surface seems like a conflicting situation on whether to destroy Ephriam (chapter 11; verses 8-9).
The principle of forgiveness is on a personal level as well with the Prophet himself who is told by God to marry a harlot and not only that to buy her back after she has gone back to her old ways. Such passages demonstrate perhaps most clearly of any O.T. scriptures God's grace. There are lilkely undertones of interaction among the Godhead and the idea of Christ's intercession when God the Father cannot look onto any sin. We need only look at other characters who ended up not only mentioned but commended as being "heroes" of the faith such as Rahab (always followed by "the harlot".) In this example; there is no clear "statement of faith" but there IS evidence of saving faith. The same could be said of the book of Esther where God isn't mentioned at all; or Ruth where there is little mention.
The concept of God loving the world and ultimately only some being saved in the end has the opposing views that God wants to save everyone but doesn't vs. God "giving His life as a ransom for many" ( Matt. 20:28). Again; assuming we aren't universalists; then we all would agree that the efficacy of His sacrifice is only valid for those who come to faith in Him. Nonetheless; just as we are challenged facing the eternal consequences of sin for the unregenerate; we also are amazed that He would save any sinners; not to mention have them rule and reign with Him.
The world is often fixated on external manifestations of sin that are shocking while overlooking their own hearts which are the source of all bad fruit as seen in Matthew 7:16-20 (although the entire chapter is good reading on the subject). This is why; sadly we often see behaviors manifest when self restraint is reduced.
But the thing that makes me rejoice is that you said " young born again " and I thank God you can rest assured that in The Judgement, the Lord may say ( He is The Judge ) enter in instead of depart from me.

These verses are in context and contradict what you are claiming, but even though they're in context and you just click or hover over it to read the whole chapter or book you just dismissed it as not being in context.

I believe in and stand by Jesus's words. It sounds like you're accusing Jesus of being about "works." You do so at your own risk. I will not be ashamed for believing in what Jesus says, even if people use all kinds of tricks to attack.
Jesus: "If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15
You: No, don't obey, because that's works.
Is that really your position that it's "bad" to obey Jesus, and "good" to not obey Jesus?
If so, that sounds exactly like something satan would say. Such a clever deception to get people to believe its somehow bad to do good and good to do bad. As if God wants people to disobey Him!?
Also I noticed you used the same straw man argument everyone else has been taught to use that if you want to follow Jesus then automatically you're trying to work towards heaven and there's no other possibility. I already said we're saved by grace, which seemed to be ignored. Of course I already answered this fallacy in advance, but maybe you didn't read it or did and claimed this fallacy anyway. Anyway, I feel a moral obligation to counter the lies on here and anyone claiming that its bad to follow and bad to obey Jesus is just is not speaking the truth. The Bible warns Christians of this throughout scripture.

Salvation is conditional upon following Christ. Those who hate or don't follow Christ aren't going to be saved, based on what the Bible says.
John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

I don't know how some can read these verses and twist them into meaning anything other than what they mean. This should be prayed about very deeply.

Many received the invitation to salvation, but only a few of God's chosen received it. (Many called, few chosen.)

What scripture verse do you claim to be the source of your idea that faith is a result of salvation?
And what scripture verse do you cite to claim that you're saved now before you're even judged?
Paul said the one verse you're citing, but did you notice that Paul also warned ( 1 Cor 4:14) Christians to obey and not stray from the faith. God gives you that choice- he will allow you to commit despicable evil as we see people do every day, as is covered by the news. Christians also leave the faith, as evidenced by those we know in person and those forum groups like on Reddit where they talk about it. To deny this reality is to deny truth. Did God cause them to leave the faith? No, people did using their own freewill and bad choices. They will not be saved if they are not following Christ. Not all Christians will be "saved" on judgment day.
I don't know if you believe in freewill or not, that God is forcing you to type things on this site you don't want to say of if you believe you are doing it. If God forces you to eat things you don't want to eat like Taco Bell or ice cream. But about freewill of course there's only one truth- either its true or not, not both. And its true for me, so are people claiming its not true for them? And is that God speaking through them that its not true or is that their own doing and how can they 100% prove they are not in control of their bodies whatsoever? Some may be deceived and use this as justification to sin against God and perhaps some may be dishonest about it.
1 Cor 4:5 says to judge nothing before the Lord comes and then the Lord will then judge us, but people seem to like judging themselves as saved so some can then make excuses to disobey God.
Romans 15:5 Paul says we need endurance. He warns us, says to endure, and 1 Corinthians 9:24 says to run the race so to win the prize. The refutes the popular narrative.

This is the work of God functioning in the inner man and displaying outwardly in believers.

I believe this takes denying ourselves and submission.
And when HE is present WE bares fruit.
This is practical, not a manifestation of the flesh. "Man doesn't WILL it to happen.
In fact as he matures I don't think he can keep it from happening.

Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Even as Adam fell asleep and out of his body Hod created a bride for him .
So too through his death ,God is creating a Bride for the " last Adam"
A body out of a body . Who will meet the Lord in the air and go to the marriage feast in heaven .
Those who were found to be not ready and unrecognisable as the Bride will be left behind and though saved will,suffer loss as through fire .and proved through the great tribulation .

You have written "If we are trusting that obedience to any commandment of God, including the sign of water baptism, is a requirement for our salvation or affects our salvation in any way, we have a works / grace gospel that cannot save and we are under the Law and not under Grace". So obedience to God has no effect on our salvation. Likewise disobedience to Go has no effect on our salvation too,. So I can spent my whole life in disobedience, which is sinning and still be saved, because sometime in my life I was born again by God, right? Logical sequence, isn't it?
Matthew 7:21-2e "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"
Those who say Lord, Lord are saved people or not? They are saved because in the next verse Jesus talks about them saying that they prophesied and made miracles. But there were left out of Heaven. Why? Because they were sinning (workers of iniquity), although been gifted. Why does Jesus tells them that He doesn't know them? Because Jesus only knows His true children, people who obey Him and keep themselves pure and clean of sin. A father knows his own children. Children must look like their father, not have the appearance of a stranger, say of devil's
Now I have a few questions for you (another topic):
1. When were the apostles saved(born again)? Before or after Pentecost (when they received the Holly Spirit)? When were they water baptized, before or after Pentecost? When were the Samaritans that Phillip preached to, baptized in The Spirit? Before or after water baptism? When were they saved, before or after Spirit baptism?
2. Water baptism preceds or follows salvation(new birth)?

Worshipping in truth and in spirit. Does that mean by the letter/ordinances which refers to man's efforts or is it the effectual working of the Holyspirit that lines one heart to be in agreement with God's law? Not written on tablets of stone but written in our heart.
If that's so, is it just revealing the hidden wisdom of God in the scripture? Or does the Holyspirit also cause us to love God's statutes and causes us to function in the way scripture identifies us as desciples. "One who FOLLOWS Christ teachings"

If we are supposed to be moved by the Spirit "by the instrument of faith" unto good works but yet we don't display good works, then our faith is vain/dead, then is it fair to say that if we provide works THAT IS NOT BY THE INFLUENCE of the spirit that causes obedience to God's word then our work is vain.
Would the spirit move us to not only obey Christ but also "Paul's epistles?
Every man's work shall be tested by fire. We can be caught up so much in proving our worth amongst men we may never realize we are building a two-story hay house.
If there is no spiritual growth, we can become ineffective but yet satisfied because we're proud of the work we put in. And if we're content with that we become Lukewarm or perhaps never was actually converted!
This is why we examine ourselves "Examine the motive in everything you do and the spiritual fruit in our lives NOT the two story hay house.
Many will try to present their works to the Lord " Matthew 7:22-23." The Lord will say he NEVER knew you" and you have no works to confirm because your evidence went up in smoke!
Deny ourselves and do all things in the spirit to glorify God

You cannot approach God in your natural birth! You are still in Adam and all ethnic groups have to come to God by the blood of the cross. John 14:6.
Salvation didn't come by genealogy religion or ethnic group Salvation didn't come by anything Adam had to offer. Salvation came by the seed of the woman that's Christ.
There's your new birth.
If you belong to any ethnic group, religion, church or political party, without Christ you will be told I never knew you.
Matthew 7:21-23.
Abraham was asked to leave his father's pagan land and was promise a land flowing with milk and honey. In Hebrews it says this is the new Jerusalem. Hebrews 11:8-10.
God said he will make a nation out of Abraham. (There is no value in the pagan land in which he came and there was no value in him when he came) He had to come to God by instrument of faith to receive grace, "as do we".
We are the seed of Abraham and sons of God through faith.
Salvation didn't come by the nation of Israel. The nation of Israel demonstrated there is no good thing in the flesh.
God will put his spirit in Israel and Israel as a nation will be saved as we. Acts 15:8-11.
There will be a new fold and One shepherd. John 10:16.
