    Psalm 19 is sweet.
The glory of God in the heaven.
The soul of man on earth.
Every word of God is pure... Proverbs 30:5
Thy word is very pure: psalm 119:140
...sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

  • Lu2677 on Proverbs 30 - 7 years ago
Proverbs 30:5 "Every word of God is pure,he is a shield to them that put their trust in him." The SACRED SCRIPTURES are not futile, does no harm, does not return void, and does not hinder the winning of souls. The scriptures rebuke, correct.I would rather be wounded by a friend (Jesus) that kissed by those that follow Satan.V.6"Add thou not to his word, lest he reprove you and you be found a liar"
  • Lu2677 on Matthew 2 - 8 years ago
    Irene, I read the whole chapter,V16"slew all the children,from 2yrs.old and younger"Why do you think"and younger"is there?No where does this verse say he was 2.If scripture doesn't say he was 2,neither should you.( Proverbs 30:6, Tim.3:16, , 2 Peter 1:20, Zephaniah 3:20.
Rebuke from a friend is better than a kiss from an enemy. I contend for God's truth.

This proverb verse 33 teaches me that we should not be reminding others of what they did wrong but is good to tell them of what they can do good
  • Mr. Smith on Proverbs 30 - 8 years ago
vs 21-22, Compare Eccl 10:7 (servants on horseback), Even the EARTH is troubled and revolts when people let their sense realm reign over their spirit realm. Solomon calls this EVIL. Paul calls it "sowing to the flesh" and then "of the flesh, reap corruption". It's the law of the boomerang, what we send out comes back, what we sow, we reap. Jesus is the answer. We must walk as he walked.

Verse 33 reminds me of people who feel entitled to criticize and control others, whether their presentation is with a smile or a scowl.

I believe that when the word of God is speaking that His word is pure : I believe that His word has been put to the test and there is no impurities in it. The word of God is a shield who will put their Trust in Him. The Word of Almighty God will stand . No imp in or from hell will stop it when we put it out there and stand no matter how long it takes.

Robert H. Where does it say "there was a glow about Adam and Eve?" If it were so then all saints would have a glow. I don't see anyone glowing! It says they covered themselves because they knew they were naked. Where does it say they died spiritually?
I don't see the connection between the tree of good and evil and the fig tree that Jesus cursed.
You add to God's word. Proverbs 30:5

Linda, Genesis 1:26 God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness." He was talking to Christ and the Holy Spirit There are more than 3, he is Holy Gods. Jesus was from the foundation of the world. God is in bodily form.
Explain how you would know what God would say if he was talking to the animals?
Where in scripture says that Adam would rule the world? ReadProverbs 30:6
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Genesis 1 - 9 years ago
Genesis 1:26; It does not say that God was talking to the animals.
Proverbs 30:6 "Add thou not unto his words lest he reprove thee and thou be found a liar."
  • Lucinda Palestrant on Proverbs 16 - 9 years ago
The context of Proverbs 16:9 is not marriage or searching for true love after divorce. As one person wrote. Proverbs 16:1 "The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord." Jeremiah 10:23 "O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.":Yea also the heart of the sons o men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead." Proverbs 30:6 "Add thou not unto his word lest he reprove thee and thou be found a liar." Also read Proverbs 3:5-7

Amen Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
  • Darius Yasepsa on Proverbs 30 - 9 years ago
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness there is nothing froward or perverse in them. Prov 8:8. This is the very spoken words of God espcially to us as the believers in Christ, to uphold it with faith. Amen!!...
  • BARBS on Proverbs 30 - 9 years ago
I learnt the ways of men upon the earth and how we should pattern ourself according to the Word of God.Trusting God and being contented with life giving thanks always. Sometimes comparing ourselves with the animal and their way of living, the wisdom that God gave them, we can take stock of ourlives.Soaring like and eagle, wise like the ant and swift like a serpent. Whatever happens if God is not in the picture then everything is vanity in vain. So, we must trust in the Lord our God with our whole heart.
  • Pamela on Proverbs 30 - 9 years ago
Yes, I agree. Why do we conceal His Jewishness. Yeshuah is the name above every name. His Salvation,His Messiah, the only begotten of the Father ,Son was given to us sinners to reconcile us to Holy God otherwise we would all be eternally lost.
