Who was Solomon addressing in Psalm 127:1?

i would like to know the meaning of this verse, why is it compared to aaron's beard and what does the phrase snow of hermon?

We should definitely praise God for being alive and the way we are made. Man still has not been able to fully understand all the functions of the body. This shows how awesome God is in his wisdom and power. Nothing can compare.

Psalms Chapter 127 did not mention the phrase, "thy word above thy name". But to answer your question, the exact statement written in the Bible was this, "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise "THY NAME" for thy lovingkindness and for "THY TRUTH": for thou hast magnified "THY WORD" above "ALL THY NAME" ( Psalms 138:2). It means, GOD magnified "THE WORD OF GOD" above "ALL THE NAME OF GOD" and We all know that GOD has so many names mentioned in the Holy Scriptures but there was only one name which God had magnified above all HIS name and that was "The Word of God". The Word of God was described in the Bible as this, "His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had "A NAME WRITTEN, THAT NO MAN KNEW, BUT HE HIMSELF". And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and "HIS NAME" IS CALLED "THE WORD OF GOD" ( Revelation 19:12-13). So, the only one name that God magnified above all His name is "A NAME WRITTEN, THAT NO MAN KNEW, BUT HE HIMSELF". Therefore, all names that EVERYBODY KNEW is NOT The Word of God which God had magnified.

I like how the Psalmist describe the All knowing everpresent God and all about His creative nature. God knows us evidently and we can hide from Him... He knew up before we were formed, and ever calculated the number of our days...

I love this chapter it expresses why we should give OUr heavenly father all the praise. He our savior deserves all the praise!

I LOVE VERSE NINETEEN. IT IS AN AWESOME REMINDER THAT GOD IS EVER PRESENT .. AND HE WILL SAVE US IF ONLY WE BELIEVE ON HIS NAME.

This scripture is one of many that the Holy Spirit reveal to me that my heavenly Father is the one who has the control over my life; and there is no need for me to set up and worry, lose sleep, wear myself out trying to work it all out. It has taught me how to rest in God. After all He is the author and finisher of my faith. Another good scripture to reference this one with is (Psalm3 ) and ( Matthew 6:25-33). Rest in His care!!
