When the expression "wait upon the Lord" comes up, I always imagine I am to wait on Him as a waitress. I seat Him, take His order, bring Him His meal, ask Him if He's satisfied and ask if there's anything else He wants. Biblically speaking, I would be His
"handmaiden" or personal assistant. I would know what He expects, how and when to bring it to Him just as I would for anyone I cared for.

Psalm 37 comforts me, greatly, in the face of deadly persecutions, against my whole body, done by domestic cyber terrorists, right here in the USA! My sin: Vs 30-31! My comfort,:32-34, but Psalm 37 takes me into the throne-room of God! There, I have indepth quiet communion with God! Thanks be to God! See also Psalm 103:1-5 !

Get down on your hands and knees and ask God for forgiveness and repent of all your sins that you have ever committed and God will hear your prayer and forgive you of your sins, and he says go and sin no more. God bless you, Amen!

  • Carol Bush on Psalms 37 - 10 years ago
This scripture actually gives confirmation to the fact that we must trust God and walk in faith. It also tells us not to be so concerned with the things of others material things . We should not fret over the wrongful things that people do, for they shall reap the harvest of the seeds they sew. But the most important thing is for us to continuously focus on God and His perfect will and He will bless accordingly. This scripture continuously reminds us not to do evil things but to do good. It constantly reminds us to steer clear of evil thoughts, wicked imaginations and anger to wrath. He has promised that the evil wicked will DEFINITELY pay for their wrong doing but great is the reward of those who trust in God.

I should not worry about evil doers, and be not envious of what the workers of enquiry has, because it will not last.i should only put my trust in God , because everything good flows through him.

This chapter just let me know that No matter what I am covered by God. I'm to hold on and diligently wait for the Lord to move in my favor. Not only am I a heir to the land, so is my children. The meek shall inherit the earth. The evildoers can't have what God have promised for me. This is one of my favorite character in the bible.
  • Sharon on Psalms 37 - 10 years ago
Psalms 37 reminds me to be patient and wait on God and HE will definitely take care of these matters. So, there is no need for me to fret at all. It's all about the matter of putting our complete trust only in HIM. The real enemy is the devil himself who works his devices against the believers in Christ Jesus! But God has all of this worked out and has it under control. I intend to meditate on this daily. What a godly counsel! Can't find it no where on earth except in the Bible!

Psalms 37 has helped me understand why I have to go through things. I understand fully that when people come against me it won't last forever. My favorite verse is 13. Knowing that God is laughing at my enemies gives me strength to press on.

To delight yourself in the Lord is to enjoy being in His word on a daily bases and in a set aside prayer time and obeying His word. When we do this then our desires will change to what He likes and therefore we will have the fulfillment of God's presence and joy of knowing that all we do will please Him : He also helps us get that way also : We are not called in this walk of faith to do it on our own : He is there with us all the way : He will go with us all the way : He gives us all things richly to enjoy !!

John 3:16 for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ whoever believes in him will not be perished but have an everlasting life. God is a promising God and he is always faithful to his promises that he will never leave us nor forsake us. We are saved by his Grace coz his love and mercy endureth forever. Thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us and he have redeemed us on the cross, he have come to give us life. Our job now is to believe Jesus and obey his words, love him and keep his commandments until rapture. We must be Born Again in Spirit in order for the Holy Spirit to guide us and will be with us. I love you Jesus and will trust you forever. Amen

To Racheal 's comment: This past Wednesday at Bible Study our Pastor presented the recent Bible Topic "I 'm Not Forsaken In the Valley ". The topic alone signifies how we as believers must go through rough trials regardless of how big or small they seem. In the valley, we feel at our lowest humble point, trying to reflect on what we did wrong, where do I go, and is God really there with me. My Pastor said it clearly: the devil tempts us but God tries us during these times to see how we handle the situation. We 're not in the valley for just because there is a reason and a purpose from the Lord that brought us here. Sometimes it 's a reflection of ourselves with God. Please know Racheal that you 're not suffering alone, and to have faith in God even when you don 't know the outcome of your situation. Psalms 37:23-25 are helpful verses especially during difficult times. Before you read them, I ask you to first pray to God for guidance and ask yourself if you will put your trust in Him completely. He will not forsake you. God bless you, and you 're in my prayers.
