Who are the "they" you are referring to? Nothing in the Bible that says that claim.

I really believe that the Catholic Church combines paganism with the true God. I also know there a lot of good people in Catholic and all other churches. We all have been deceived. That is why reading the Bible yourself and truly accepting 100% the KJV Bible is telling the truth is a good start. Then God will show how to be saved by realizing we are all sinners and we need a true Saviour. Only then God opens your heart and mind that trusting and having faith, and believing in the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross for the remission/atonement/forgiveness of the whole world's sins you become part of the Body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is a great verse to believe the Gospel. We believers must not put that belief in vain. Once you believe, you stand on that belief, so you will not be toss to and fro by any person, or any so-called Christian Churches who have their own filthy lucre agenda. Jesus Christ only died once, Jesus Christ was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. Any body who understand that concept understands the power of God. God already WON. The true believers have the power of God in them because Christ is in each of the true believers inside their body, soul and spirit. If anybody believes that, you will know who are evil and the saints-the sons of God. We all have been warned because we are living in the last days. Jesus is coming in the clouds to meet the Bride of Christ 1 Thessalonians 4:11-18, 1 Corinthians 15:50-58. Believers rejoice evermore. Grow in grace and practice true meaning of Charity 1 Corinthians 13:4:13. Therefore, anybody who has Jesus Christ should warn their corrupted churches to not be deceived or else Revelation 18:4. This should awaken you to WHY things are happening. Like world wide drought. Water sources drying up. Food is becoming limited because of crop and meat animal deaths. No fertilizer. We may become like Africa which is experiencing mass deaths of people, meat animals, no fresh water. Christians are being killed for their faith.

Basically; the final destruction of Babylon didn't occur. Revelation 17 seems to talk of the spiritual Babylon; something the Beast has to destroy to gain complete worship for Himself (i.e. Satan). Revelation 18 discusses the economic Babylon and a "great city" being destroyed. Some have guessed this is New York City; others suggest that it is in the same geographical locale as ancient Babylon. The ecumenical center of the 3 monotheistic faiths in Dubai along with a city 30 times larger than New York City which is planned to be ultramodern; with a drone based transportation system makes this seem more feasible.

At any event; this will make way for the Mark of the Beast; and either worship of Satan or of God. There will be no more false religious system; or any comfort in materialism. We must remember that it is worshipping the image of the Beast with food being a sidenote that drives people to taking the mark. Death will be for all those not taking it; although a few will survive until the end and into the Millennium period in hiding.

Thankfully; 2 Thess. 2 seems to indicate that the church will be out of here before that. Also we have the verse about the gates of hell not prevailing against the church today ( Matt. 16:18). However; the saints will be overcome according to Daniel in the time of Jacob's trouble ( Rev. 13:7; Daniel 7:21; Jeremiah 30:7).

These prophecies must surely occur; although it is held back to some extent now. Once the lawless one is revealed; things will be exponentially worse than ever before and than it ever will be ( 2 Thess. 2:8; Matt.24:21).

These verses signified what happened when Apostles were killed. Any Religious sect Leaders who perverted the church will account to all their lies. Hi Ronnette. The figures of speech in prophecy can be many with various interpretations. We tend to apply it to what we know or what we think is a problem. Just a few scriptures and thoughts on Rev. 17,18. A whore or harlot in the scripture is one who has many lovers (sources of affection). Just the wording to me suggests it is a church that lost their first love and fallen away from the truth."Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird". Notice the word "become" (she wasn't at one time) and is "fallen" (was standing at one time). Another verse to consider Verse 7: she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Interpretation: "I sit a queen" she thinks she is married to the King. "am no widow" her husband is alive (risen). "shall see no sorrow" (nothing I do will lose this standing) "eternal security." Just some thoughts that has come over the years.

I noticed the word sorceries here is Pharmacy. I have no confident with the Pharmaceutical industries. I was sick and healed so quickly by taking all natural supplements. My "Professional"Doctor seems to be frustrated by me taking supplements. Because Certified Doctors are promoting Pharma drugs. Scary. I know for a fact that my Mom died using all drugs from doctors gave her. I witnessed her transformation until the end of her life. Pharma also seems to know how long you will get hooked to drugs until a person ready to be expired. And then Government in cahoots to stop social security pension to the point of death. Wow a great system we have. God judgments will come soon. You wonder why Politician will say something like we will give you transparency and then be silent when they get elected? No we are talking about the Law of God that is for eternity, for all time and stands for all of God's creation to keep. The rest the sabbath offers is all encompassing and is both spiritual and physical and a sign between God's people and Him.

The counterfeit sabbath of satan, SUNday has been the perfect trojan horse to lead people away from obedience to God and at the end of time Revelation 13 tells us satan will use the beast, to enforce a global counterfeit worship system.

God calls His people out of this false system Revelation 18:4 and this includes rejecting the counterfeit sabbath day.

Hi Barbara. You can find a couple of them mentioned in Galatians 5:20 and Revelation 18:23. In both references, 'pharmacy', or 'pharmakeia' (in Greek), refer to witchcraft & sorcery. Those practising these abominable acts, often used medicine or drugs to induce an altered state of mind or body. However, with the progression of medicine, from earliest times till now, certain elements found in plants, animals, etc. could be extracted that had a positive outcome for a person's healing. These 'medicines or drugs' fall under the heading of 'pharmaceutics'. That is why we must always be aware of what we are taking, its real effects, & any conflicts with other medicines or existing health problems.

Before I found this site , two or three years ago , I found quite a few other so called Christian sites . The Bible was never discussed on any of them , they were basically people bitching about and judging others on the site . I made a Bible reference about not judging one another on one of those sites and was shot down in flames by everyone on there for using the Bible against them . Oh the irony ! There's definately a difference between Christian sites and Bible sites , give me a Bible site any day , there are far too many people who call themselves Christians who make no effort at all to understand any of the Word of God and they actually resent others who do make the effort and who know something about the Bible . They complain that people who know the Bible are just trying to make them ( the ones who don't even want to know ) feel bad or guilty for not wanting to read it . I'm not kidding ,I wish I was . Stick with us , we are all imperfect on here but the vast majority on here are willing to learn from each other and help each other and are genuinely interested and want to know what God says .

During the tribulation, when the people of the world see the destruction of Babylon the Great, they will mourn the loss of their source of riches and pleasure ( Revelation 18:9, 15, 19).

I'm not going to disparage on the Catholic Church at large. Not all are the same as the Vatican. I was kind of shocked when the Pope visited Jerusalem and said (on TV), Israel should give over control of the ? Golan Heights to the Palestinians who are occupying it. But the Israelis police it. Lots of Israelis are being shot or injured.

I've heard commentary that Babylon represents the Roman Catholic Church, and I can accept that application, but I think it is a more appropriate application to say Babylon represents the formerly Christian nation of America that has become apostate during the last days. Babylon in Revelation is a "city" full of people doing great business and making tradesmen around the world rich through commerce. The Catholic Church is primarily guilty of making its officers rich, but not enriching world businessmen so much.

In Rev 18:4 GOD says "come out of her". Does that mean Babylon or the Catholic church or both?

There is no other interpretation possible other than that she is the Woman Who Rides the Beast, the Prostitute Church centered in the City of seven hills who should be the bride of Christ but is not. That's what Rev 17-18 is all about. She is responsible for the blood of the saints and ALL the abominations in the earth today. America - give me a break.

The 6th head of the beast morphed into the 7th head in 476AD when the 11th horn uprooted 3 others (Vandals, Ostrogoths and Heruli) and took control spiritually and used that power to rule all. Phillip, the "HER" in Revelation 18 is Babylon (the world, carnality, falsehoods, deceptions), that all mankind is in the CAPTIVITY OF.

God commands that we, God's church (the called out) come out of HER (BABYLON)(the world, carnality, falsehoods, deceptions).

Marke, the "her" in Revelation 18 is Babylon, the world's system of government (law written in stone), directly opposite God's government (law written in the heart).

WE are commanded to come out of BABYLON and live under the LAW OF THE SPIRIT.
