the name of God is purely the LORD. It is mentioned in the Bible almost 7000 times. The proof that is God's name is the apostles, when writing the new testament transliterated the name of God from Hebrew to Greek and use the name the LORD. Yahweh is a name of God not found in the kjb. God revealed his name first as the LORD God, then God Almighty, then the LORD(Jehovah), then Jesus Christ. The name of Jesus is above all names. According to Revelation 3:12, God will reveal a new name of his in heaven.

When I see people using the name Yashua instead of jesus, it shows me that they don't believe the Greek New Testament and did not even make it to Matthew 1:1 which says

The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Matthew 1:21 says And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Thank you Good guys in white,

Agree, we must pray constantly to be accounted worthy, to have the strength to escape every sin, not caught up in the worldly cares, drunkenness, and temptations especially the big one, the hour of temptation that's coming.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

    God bless,

Hi Adrian. I believe that is correct in so far as, that sickness, pain & suffering come to all of us without exception, because we are a spiritually & morally fallen race. The moment we are born into the world with sin's nature having taken root & hold upon us, sin's course ultimately leads to death. And in that process of a gradual weakening & failing of our body's organs, we prove that in spite of any spiritual re-birth or discipline to holy living, ultimately the sin that grips our body will have the last word. I know that all this sounds very morbid but all of us are subject to the same end: that which is the outcome of sin ( Romans 6:23; James 1:15; Romans 5:12).

Yet, you might be thinking of a person's particular suffering or sickness (e.g. Job - which was a specific instance of God's Permission given to Satan to test Job's character & faithfulness; & maybe God stills allows this today- I can't tell). Yet we also know that God does discipline His child who wilfully continues in sin, not receiving correction ( Hebrews 12:5-11; Revelation 3:19; 1 Corinthians 11:32; Psalm 94:12,13). But His discipline comes in various ways & degrees of severity, as a father would mete out to his erring child. So the bottom line could be expressed as: if we were NOT sinners, living in all purity & holiness before God, there would be no physical sickness coming upon us, nor would there be need for any correction or discipline by God or man. But we should be cautious in trying to interpret every sickness or hardship being the result of some spiritual or moral failing - not always, but sometimes - each one will know in his heart from whence this comes.

    Hey Rawlie,

Like Mishael said there are many opinions on this and your question is there any scriptural support for pre-tribulation I would have to say no. God has not promised us to be spared tribulation, it is pretty much the opposite, John 16:33 Acts 14:22 2 Thessalonians 1:4. The Great tribulation and the wrath of God is two different things. God will spare us his wrath, 1 Thessalonians 5:9 His wrath will be on the unrighteous, Romans 1:18.

People looking to be raptured and taken to heaven before the beast shows up and the persecution worldwide starts will not be prepared and this may cause the great falling away. Some have taken the seventh week from Daniel and other scriptures to paint a beautiful picture that is not scriptural. Millions of dollars from movies, books, tv preachers have been made on this theory that started in the 1700s

Jesus told us in Matthew 24:29-31 Mark 13:24-27 it will be after the tribulation. There is more but this should answer your question, if we are living when it starts, we will go through it, Matthew 10:22. We must do what Jesus told the disciples when they asked him about the end. The first thing He said was Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

There will be a great temptation coming, and we must be strong in our faith in His word, even unto death, because we have this promise. Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

    God bless,

The Bible says, "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" ( John 3:16).

Jesus said, I came that they may have life and have it abundantly ( John 10:10)

We have all done, thought or said bad things, which the Bible calls "sin." The Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" ( Romans 3:23).

The result of sin is death, spiritual separation from God ( Romans 6:23).

    What's the good news?

Jesus died in our place so we could have a relationship with God and be with Him forever.

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" ( Romans 5:8)

But it didn't end with His death on the cross. He rose again and still lives!

Christ died for our sins. He was buried. He was raised on the 3rd day, according to the Scriptures" ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Jesus is the only way to God. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me" ( John 14:6)

We can't earn salvation; we are saved by God's grace when we have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. All you have to do is admit you are a sinner, that Christ died for your sins, and ask His forgiveness. Then turn from your sins-that's called repentance. Jesus Christ knows you and loves you. What matters to Him is the attitude of your heart, your honesty. We suggest praying the following prayer to accept Christ as your Savior:

    Dear God,

I know I'm a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Did you pray this prayer? Your name is written in the Book of Life. Revelation 3:5

Pray to receive the Holy Spirit as your Teacher.

    Write down this date.

    Hi Mishael,

You shared quite a bit. I agree that we're in a spiritual battle, rather than the battle is already won and we can just chillax mindset.

As far as the apostacy, I probably have a different opinion. I believe in accountability among brothers and sisters, but based on scripture I think this has a limit at some point if someone has turned away from Jesus and is embracing a sinful life. If we are no longer the one encouraging and influencing, but are at risk of being tempted and adversely affected ourselves, that might be one indicator to back off and draw closer to Jesus followers. The reason I believe that is verses like 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it says 'from such turn away'. Also Ephesians 5:11, Revelation 3:16.

You mentioned only 20% of church goers tithe. I'm not sure how you'd know that, because each person can give anonymously sometimes, and may give to a variety of other people and organizations in need. I personally believe that its just as much of an act of giving to give of ones own time directly helping someone rather than paying $ to an organization to do the same thing. I personally prefer helping someone in person directly. And I think ones time and efforts have great value. Maybe some consider that a tithe, maybe some don't. But I do, and I don't know how someone could possibly calculate what others are or are not giving. Also, we have seasons of famine and properity and sometimes people simply aren't able to give much and I think that's ok. I don't think that broke college students should feel guilt or inferior or that they're not Christians for not being able to give a tithe. Its more likely satan who wants them to feel that way.

That's awesome you experienced a spirit filled service. One more thought worth sharing is you mentioned 12 people who didn't respond to a message were 'hypocrites'. As a brother in Christ I interpret that as sounding judgmental. We have no idea what thoughts are occuring in someone's mind and I wouldn't assume its bad.

    Revelation 22 THE BIBLE

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man SHALL ADD unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in THIS BOOK:

19 And if any man shall TAKE AWAY from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in THIS BOOK.

    Revelation 3:5

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

    Revelation 20:12

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; "and the books" were opened:

and another book was opened, which is the BOOK OF LIFE and the dead were judged out of those things which were written "in the books", according to THEIR WORKS.

    Revelation 20:15

And whosoever was NOT WRITTEN in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    Psalms 56:8

Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in THY BOOK?

    Psalms 139:16

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in THY BOOK all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

    Exodus 32:33

And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of MY BOOK.

Malachi 3:16 - Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Mishael comment: if you read slowly you will see differences in Book of Life, THIS BOOK, "in the Books", Book of Remembrance, My Book, Thy Book:

There are Books that record our deeds, confessions (good or evil). Has anyone let fly some "language?" My motto is for me_repent as fast as it took to me to disparage on someone or something.
  • D W L - 4 years ago
Delores - That makes some feel good but it won't stand in judgement.

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

John 15:2 Every branch (in me) that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Matthew 25:14-30 And cast ye the (unprofitable servant) into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou (faithful unto death), and I will give thee a crown of life.

    Wesley's Notes for Revelation 3:20

I stand at the door, and knock - Even at this instant; while he is speaking this word. If any man open - Willingly receive me. I will sup with him - Refreshing him with my graces and gifts, and delighting myself in what I have given. And he with me - In life everlasting.

People's Bible Notes for Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock. The language implies that Christ is near. If they will open the door by repentance he is ready to enter and bless. If any man shall hear my voice, and open the door. Hear and obey. Then the Lord will enter, and they shall partake together of the richness of the feast.

Comment: Jesus isn't going to knock on the door and when you open to Him, he's going to start listing all the unconfessed sins.

He's been knocking all along. Most of us know that dark closet in our soul where we hide the sins.

We have to open the door, and let the Lord begin His work. He's gentle and direct. We are healed. The closet is emptied and we are Free; healed.

NO ONE CAN BELIEVE OF THEMSELVES

    Philippians 1:29 For unto to you IT IS GIVEN on the behalf of Christ, not only TO BELIEVE on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

1 Peter 1:21 WHO BY HIM DO BELIEVE in GOD, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

When we look at the world, we see, most don't believe in God; there is a reason, CHRIST hasn't YET CAUSED THEM TO BELIEVE.

Romans 11:31 Even so have these also now NOT BELIEVED, that through YOUR MERCY they also shall OBTAIN MERCY.

Romans 11:32 For God hath concluded them ALL IN UNBELIEF, that he might have mercy ON ALL.

Christ is ONLY at present calling out a FEW to be PRIEST in his kingdom, on earth and TO JUDGE and PREACH his gospel to all nations, when they are resurrected back to their bodies of flesh.

The called out will have glorified bodies.

Those resurrected back will have flesh and blood bodies, this is there punishment, they will be in torment seeing their GOVERNORS, glorified, and they, flesh and blood, and under SUBJECTION.

    Jeremiah 51:19-23

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship at thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

    Brother Rick:

Isaiah 1:26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counselors as at the beginning: afterwards thou shall be called; The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

Psalms 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Proverbs 8:16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them the judgement written: this honour has all his saints.

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know the saints shall judge the world?

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works until the end, will I give power over nations:

Revelation 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter they shall broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved you.

Sister Gigi, if Only Spirit (the Word) existed in the beginning, and nothing else, then what do you think all things were made from.

Hebrews 11:3 .....so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

If the star that led the wise men was a physical star that moved and stood still, why didn't Herod follow the star himself to the Christ child.

I know you basing all truth on the traditions held by man, but are those traditions ALL TRUTH.

Pilot ask JESUS: What is truth.

All through the Bible it always has been the FEW, do you think all of Christianity (the church) is the FEW.

The CHURCH in the wilderness consisted of about six hundred thousand fighting men, YET ONLY TWO, entered the promised land, TWO BELIEVED GOD five hundred ninety nine thousand nine hundred ninety eight BELIEVED MAN.

Noah preach one hundred twenty years, YET ONLY EIGHT entered the ark. EIGHT BELIEVED GOD, millions BELIEVED MAN.

Many (in the CHURCH) are on the road to destruction, FEW find the way.

This is what the message to the seven churches in Revelation is about.

Revelation 3:9 Behold I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, but are not, and do lie; Behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved you.
  • Earl Bowman - In Reply - 4 years ago
Sister GiGi, do you believe God's word can contradict itself.

If God SENT his Son to be Saviour of the world, but the Son failed and didn't save the world. This would make Jesus not the saviour of the world.

I know man says it's his choice and not God's choice and God will never make man do something man don't want to do because God don't want forced love.

    This contradicts numerous scriptures.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will MAKE THEM of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lied; behold, I WILL MAKE THEM to come and worship before thy feet, and TO KNOW that I have loved thee.

Hello Walter. You wrote: "if someone is first and last all they are stating the(y) are the only one." If Jesus has stated this (as in Revelation 1:8; Revelation 12:13), could He actually be identifying completely with the One God, from Whom He once proceeded from, as the Word of God given flesh? 'Alpha & Omega' is a very strong loaded phrase that can only be denoted to God, to which the risen Jesus Who sits at the right Hand of God, makes claim to ( Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 10:12; 1 Peter 3:22). If the 'only one God now is Jesus', what happened to the Father, Whom Jesus sits beside? Jesus not only prayed to His Father whilst He walked on Earth, but now reigns with Him ( Revelation 3:21; Revelation 7:10).

To GOD Be The Glory, Reading GOD'S Word and getting the true understanding, who you are and where you came FROM; Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. This meaning that we are like GOD himself wrapped up into an earthen vessel housing the spirit that is within us to do his will, his way here on earth, clearly it is written in Matthew in 6:10 Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven, GOD created us in His image to do the work here in earth as it is heaven, we are not to lose ourselves into this worldly world being disobedient to the call in which we were created to do, to be, and to say what Our Heavenly has predestine for each of us to do for His KINGDOM; 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people that we should show forth the praises of him he hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. Brother Dan, the throne of God is a LITERAL PHYSICAL place, CHRIST IN YOU. As Christ is the throne of his Father, because the Father indwells Christ, Christ indwells you, making you the THRONE of the Father, Son and you.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh, I will grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool:

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a NEW HEAVEN..... the NEW dwelling place and the NEW throne of God..CHRIST IN YOU

Isaiah 66:1 ........where is the THE HOUSE ye built unto me

Hebrews 3:6 ...But Christ as a son over his own house, whose HOUSE WE ARE

Isaiah 66:1 .......and where is my place of REST.....The Father and His Son Jesus Christ and YOU are at REST TOGETHER in the NEW heaven, the NEW temple made without hands, the NEW place of worship ( John 4:19-22).

Cease from your works as God has ceased from his works, the WORKS were FINISHED at the cross.

The only LABOUR left is to bring man TO KNOWLEDGE

Isaiah 5:13 Therefore my people go into captivity, because they have no KNOWLEDGE: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitudes dried up with thirst.

Seeking, sitting at the right hand of the Father represents that Christ is the body that does all things the Father shows him to DO.

    There is only one throne:

Revelation 3:21 He that overcometh will I (Christ) grant to sit with me (Christ) on my throne, even as I (Christ) overcame, an am set down with my Father own his throne.

  • Jesus is knocking - In Reply - 4 years ago
It's means almost the same as this verse

    Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I (Jesus) will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

[The Lord knocks on the doors of our hearts. He says he will come in, break the bread of the Word of God with us.]

He does this through the person of the Holy Spirit. John 16:7

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him to you."

    John 16:12-16

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. He reveals Jesus to us; and shows us what the Scriptures mean__to our born again spirits.

A person has to be born again. You might go out to the red link page, and find Become A Christian and just read that part and say the prayer that's in there.

There is nothing more wonderful than hearing him through your spirit. His Voice will NEVER frighten you. I say this when studying the Bible, "Come Holy Spirit and Teach me the Word."

    Hey James,

In Genesis 8:20-21 Noah offered burnt offerings on the altar of every clean beast and every clean fowl to God. The Burnt Offering, Olah in Hebrew, is the oldest sacrifice, we see it later the daily sacrifice, the Tamid. The burnt offering was the only offering that was entirely burned, all is given to God. Were there only two of each animal went in the ark? Genesis 7:1-3

In Genesis 3:21 when God clothed Adam and Eve with coats of skin is a shadow of the sacrifice of Jesus and when we accept this gift we are clothed with the garment of salvation, the robe of righteousness, white and spotless. Isaiah 61:10 As God did for Adam and Eve this garment covers our sins that we may not walk naked and our shame shall be seen, Revelation 3:4 Revelation 16:15.

God made a covenant with Noah and all living creatures that He would not destroy the world with water ever again and symbolized it with a rainbow. God gave a commandment to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, we see later they did not obey (the tower of Babel). All animals and creatures would fear man.

This is the first time in scripture where God gives the penalty for murder. The penalty for taking a life is the death of the murderer. When the life of a person is taken. God will require the punishment of death, whether the one who kills a person is a man or an animal. You will find this in Genesis 9.

    God bless,

    Dear Sister Cindy,

It's wonderful that you want to be in the House of the Lord. Here are the keys to the Kingdom - per Jesus!

    Believe!

    John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Be baptized in water and receive God's Holy Spirit!

    John 3:5

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

    Repent from your sin!

    Revelation 3:19

"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."

Strive to keep God's 10 Commandments.

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Come judgement day, Jesus will be our Judge, he tells us here in scripture below what will he will want from us to enter into his Kingdom.

    Revelation 22:12-14

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Keep your bible close to you, read it and Believe!

    God Bless.

Hello again my brother in Christ

Appreciate your kind comments on my last post.

To begin, my comment concerning the number of resurrections from death by Christ must have not been clear to you. I know of only 3 recorded resurrections performed by Christ: Lazarus, John 11:1-44; the widow's son, Luke 7:11-17; and Jairus's daughter, Luke 8:40-56 I then expressed my opinion there were most likely more that were not recorded. I see Christ as a compassionate savior, and personally, believe more miracles were performed than are recorded in today's Bible.

My conviction the story of Lazarus the beggar is a parable is based on the Hebrew meaning of the name Lazarus meaning "God has helped". Christ was speaking to an audience of disciples originally and some Pharisees later joined the group, verse 14, and began to deride Christ. Christ then speaks to the Pharisees as to their violations of the Law and the parable of Lazarus.

The parable of Lazarus serves a twofold purpose. First it serves to emphasize the responsibility of those more fortunate to aid the less fortunate. Second, it foretales the rejection of Christ by the Jews, even after the resurrection. The first purpose most likely fell on deaf ears as the Pharisees because of their self-righteousness. The second was not realized and accepted by even the remaining 11 disciples initially.

Reference to the place of the spirit after death until the gathering of the church by Christ is referenced after the resurrection by Paul, in many places in scripture. Paul refers to the "holding place: as sleep.

Now, where did the souls John sees in Revelation come from and at what point did they arrive in heaven. Revelation 3:10 is easily interperted as the rapture before tribulation. Revelation 7:9-17 surely is post-rapture by content.

My point - the spirit of the vast majority of Christians do not enter heaven prior to the rapture. Enoch, perhaps. Elijiah definitely ( 2 Kings 2:11).

Thank you, my brother in Christ

Today I found out that a friend of mine and my wife has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and she according to doctors have only 3 months left to live. The name of our friend is Carol Sands and I would like to humbly ask that all who receive this prayer request would pray for Carol's healing but above all please pray for her salvation. Revelation 3:20. Thank you.

When I first read that, I too saw the resemblances, I was told by Elders that it would be rebuilt in the historical location. I also came to realize all of the USA is not in active participation to evil.

Recently I looked up Philadelphia & the only thing mentioned was USA where The Declaration of Independence & Constitution of The United States where signed. Interesting

    In Revelation 3:7-13
