2 Samuel 12:7-15 Principle illustrated: God gives consequences to set David straight because he had sinned against Him. David used the children of Ammon to kill Uriah. David then took Uriah’s wife and bare a son. Nathan, the man who anointed David told him that he has blasphemed the Lord. The Lord struck the child with sickness and the child died. God rebukes His children when they do wrong. I am a living example of this. I have learned that whenever I do not do my best to live for God, consequences follow. It is because God loves me that He leads me back when I stray away. I need to lock my eyes on Him and then I will not be able to stray.
