Joseph was married with number of children even before marrying Mary. He was old and a widower and the brothers and sisters referred here are the children of Joseph. A man who saw God's angels with his own eyes, and who believed the Son of Mary is conceived by God, never dare to touch that woman and might have treated her like a goddess.
