Tithing is not for the New Testament church. Paul did collect for needy churches. He encouraged giving. However, no one was commanded to give a certain amount/percentage. 2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
