No man can keep the law for righteousness and for life everlasting, it condemned us, it show us how sinful we are.
Romans 8:3
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
When Christ Jesus died on the cross, He nailed the law on the cross, now we have the Holy Spirit to guide us in truth and righteousness.
Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of thelawfor righteousness to every one that believeth.
We are justified by believing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in faith.
Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Following the law doesn't make us righteousness, it condemns us, because of our sins.
Galatians 2:21
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain
When a average church goer reads this verse ( Romans 6:14 ) they would think they have licence to sin, but they forget that when we are save by believing the gospel ( 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ) , then we received the Holy Spirit that always reminds us of our sins.
Romans 6:14
"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."
The Holy Spirit guides us through life and teaches us ...
1 Corinthians 2:13
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which theHolyGhost teacheth; comparingspiritual things withspiritual
