And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
3And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
Well; TWICE I pushed the wrong button in regard to about a half dozen OTHER verses related to this subject. I'm afraid something untoward will come out of my mouth that I didn't hold back after things got wiped out the second time if I attempt a third effort! Okay enough of a pity party here...
I will go back to something I have postulated in meditating on this subject today; namely what is so wrong with a peace agreement in general? After all we are called to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" in Psalm 122:6. Well; the answer comes partially in what was stated earlier today; as to the "two state solution" fiasco; that inevitably is involved when negotiations ensue with eh Palestinians in particular and their terrorist organizations associated with their cause. The maddening concept fails because neither side wants that; the Muslims want the destruction of the nation as the "little Satan" as Iran puts it from the "river to the sea" and of course Israel for good cause doesn't want to sign such a suicidal pact. But in the future the "covenant with death and hell" ( Isaiah 28:15) will be fulfilled as they will apparently trust the lies of someone guaranteeing protection; peace and prosperity. To fast forward to the end of the Tribulation Satan leads the world to attempt to destroy Christ at His return his last "hail Mary" as it were.
