As Jeremiah 10:23 reminds us, 'O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.' This verse humbles us, showing that without God's guidance, our hearts are vulnerable-not only to pride, but also to subtle deceptions that grow like weeds when left unchecked.
