( 1 Chronicles 12:24-32)
The Word tells us:
From the tribe of Judah, there were 6,800 warriors,
armed with shields and spears.
From the tribe of Simeon, 7,100 brave warriors
prepared for battle.
From the tribe of Levi, 4,600 warriors,
including Jehoiada, a leader of Aaron's family,
with men under his command.
Zadok, a young and brave warrior,
was also counted, along with the officers
and members of his family.
From the tribe of Benjamin, Saul's own relatives,
there were 3,000 warriors.
Up to that time, most of the men from Benjamin
had remained loyal to Saul.
