"Stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth./And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne."
The Lamb here as well as on mount Sion is shown standing,('and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand'-14.1) What is the difference of this book with that the books were opened in the vision of Daniel?
These books were concerning the four beasts or the ungodly nations and the Ancient of days on the fiery throne was dispensing the law of sin and death. Hence the fiery aspect of the vision. "I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame."(7.11) Subsequent beast in Rev.13 has this mark of judgment."And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed." He still has ten horns which marks him as already judged under the law of sin and death. 'and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.'(Rev.13.1-2)
The Word or the Ancient of days take back dominion from these four beasts."yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time." (Dan.7.12). Season and time. Not the significance of the parenthesis between season and time. This'and refers to the Advent of Christ marked in the vision of John,'there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.'time marks the end times. (Rev.8.1)
The Word was with God in 5.1 is shown giving 'a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.' The Lamb in the midst is the emblem and it is the fulness of God shown in series of seven. (Col.1.19) The emblem denotes "I am Alpha and and judgment Omega, the beginning and the ending," of the Lord. It is sealed so we have the judgment indicated in the vision of Daniel is reset. Here judgment covers from the beginning till the ending.
