"For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."(Rom.8.1-2)
Moses failed to honour God which explains that flesh and the Spirit works at cross purposes. Similarly Simon Peter could correctly say who Christ was,"Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."(Mt.16.17) But in v.23 Jesus chides,"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men."
"For I delight in the law of God after the inward man./But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members."(Rom.7.22-23)
Let us go back to the Psalm quote: My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth." This secret is in the Father Son relationship into which by faith I was adopted. "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."(Ps.91.1) Abiding in Christ is the safest spot you could be in. "O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps."(Jer.10.23)
The Word of God is like a two edged sword: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."(Heb.4.12)
Heresy is the grindstone on which Satan helps sects blunt their knives, more to make quacks than surgeons.
