When Jesus was teaching in a house his mother ( according to the flesh) and his half brethren for Mary had children by Joseph after the birth of Christ . Came and wanted to talk to Him . He denied His flesh and saud " Who is my mother and who is my brother..?"

And in effect said who His true mother and brethren were pointing to those in the room but " they who do the will of God".

Now it might seem easy to understand how I can be His brother . For what is a brother if not one of the same household and of the same father and are we if His BORN again by the will of the Father?

And what then is a neighbour ? If not of another household and of another father .

And did He not teach us who are His to pray unto God as " Our Father"?

But it is perhaps not so easy to think we are His true mother .

Save in this respect . Mary was not the mother of God as some foolishly assert . But the mother of His flesh . For Gecwas not born of Joseph and thus the seed of Adam but if God " The seed which is the Word of God" . She received the promise and believed and the child was conceived and in due time the Holy child Jesus was born .

Is not the seed of the Word of God sown in our hearts? which in due time brings forth its fruit?

For Jesus speaking of Himself said " Unless a seed or corn of wheat fall into the ground and die it abideth alone but if it does it brings forth much fruit " What sort of fruit? After its own kind .
