In order to understand the 1000 year kingdom. We must also give an understanding of the different deaths that are being talked about. So John sits on Patmos and looks for it to be given to them and to hold judgment Rev 20:4 Then John sees those who were beheaded for Christ's sake.
THEY HAD NOT TAKEN, THE MARK OF THE BEAST: That time is near. Don't you see that? Do you need scriptures from the Old Testament about this? That was exactly where the Pharisees and the scribes tried to twist Jesus In His own Words. It didn't work, of course. This is our time: Weren't Jesus' Apostles all executed in many unimaginably horrible ways? And in v. 5 the rest of the dead did not live again until the 1000 years were over. This is the 1st resurrection.
There the second death has no power Rev 20:6
And in Rev 20:2 (note what is written Further in 3 we see that there will come 1000 years of peace. It is certainly not our time.
The second death is described further in the same chapter. Rev 20:13-15
1 Cor 15:28
Paul writes 1 Cor 15:51 Clearly whether we live or die, we will be transformed!
Now I read and understand that some think I'm going off on a wild goose chase and have my own philosophy about this and that. Refer to scripture, of course you will. So to name a few: eschatology, dispensation, hermeneutics, premillennialism, amillennialism and postmillennialism. Are just extended words that people like to use for confusion and what's worse. And show that they have a little more sense than other people.sr The words in Revelation 20 are not at all my own invention. I think we should be understanding of everything people try to say on this website. But God's Word is not Revealed until God wills it, that's how it is for all of us. This is difficult. And the words written in the New Testament were written after His death, burial and resurrection and have no words to refer to actually. So look for it in the prophets, wasn't that confusing enough for the scribes and Pharisees? GBUa
