"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king."
Here we have two worlds where faith separates one from the other. The world framed by the word of God there is one king in whom it pleased the Father that his fullness should dwell bodily.. "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power." Here is another of his fulness which is established by a decree,"The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."(Ps.110.4). The context in which Abraham meets Melchizedek meets shows Abraham as a double for the Son. In the battle of the five kings against four Abraham emerged as the victor. Melchizedek blesses him and it was to confirm was the heir of promise of all blessings in heaven and earth guaranteed under the everlasting Covenant. So there is only one kingdom in the kingdom of God. The memorial of four and twenty elders confirm this truth. " And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."(Rev.5.10) Their authority comes from the Lamb who has prevailed to open the bound book with seven seals. Here is worship in truth and Spirit. Jesus Christ made us priests and kings, for which we have them arranged about the Lamb on mount Sion.(Rev.14.1)
So what is Saul but God allowed the nation of Israel, cursed for disobedience. God proved the Israelites at Marah, reminding thm of the Covenant under which Abraham was confirmed as the heir of promise. God would not give on the natural world so he lived with other heirs of promise in tents.""By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:/For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God"(Heb.11.9-10)"
