    Gen.1.14 "seasons and times'

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years."

Here God sets us celestial lights in the firmament. The firmament declares the handiwork of God. What does the work of God signify, considering God is a Spirit. "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?/Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."( Jn 6.28-29) This natural world was not created for itself. By his breath God garnished heavens or He framed the world with his word. The Pharisees who challenged Jesus with signs of the times his answer was quiet blunt: "4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign." Then as now. (Mt.16.1-4)

'By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens' which gives the two great lights their relevance. "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." (Eccl.3.1) The natural lights serve as signs, but whichout addressing in terms of the the great lights mark a wicked and adulterous generation. The lesser light is to rule the night. In the new heaven and in new earth, there is no night." for there shall be no night there."(Rev.21.26b). The outer darkness is where those who are cursed go to. There was a season and a time under the heaven where they could have entered into the God's rest. They stopped short at Six, So come the day of regeneration, the 12 thrones are set up in heaven where new Jerusalem shall walk under the light of the Lamb. The darkness mentioned in Gen.1.2 shall continue 'forever.' "and darkness was upon the face of the deep." The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. This refers to the blessed. On the other hand darkness on the face of the deep refers to the outer darkness. The Jews and the leftbehing church shall form the mingled people mentioned in Ezra.9.2
