    In light of the Rapture.

I probably don't need to tell anyone here by now the fervor that has of late been flooding the internet (whether by actual individuals or AI as it is getting harder to identify) in regard to this Rosh Hashanah (Sept 23-24) and the Rapture. What is sad is that someone I have corresponded to for a couple years now is allowing herself to be swayed by her dreams and comments of others and going out on a limb with a "thus saith the Lord" on this year being it. Again; I understand the Jewish idiom and the likelihood but not certainly in my mind that the last trump means the feast of trumpets SOME year. It doesn't discount necessarily a heavenly shofar and mean it has to be that day; especially in light of Christ saying it comes on a day we don't expect and only the Father not even the Son knows; which is argued to be different now than during His earthly ministry but as a shadow of the Jewish wedding; not necessarily so.

Whenever the day comes; as it WILL arrive sooner than some think and before we have everything straightened out perfectly; we can't act as though it will be the same experience for all children of God in terms of the Bema Seat judgment as some will be tried by the fire and suffer loss. I wanted to gather together a few thoughts on preparation for that day; and hopefully to help us feel less at home in this world and emphasize our life as being part of the Body of Christ and the associations that such a lifestyle brings to create a new value system and existence.

Part of this comes from my own experience the last couple days with a brother of mine who has 6 kids and is a church Deacon also working side jobs after his steady one went belly up. He is willing to go up and help me put insulation in a primitive but workable cabin I recently purchased. Due to some chronic issues I am waiting until next month to hopefully get that done (if the Lord tarries). His humility as a servant is commendable.
