    The Beast and his image

It seems the enemy doesn't want this posted; but out of sheer stubbornness at least I am giving it another try.

Introduction: Exodus 20; Deuteronomy 5 and the Ten Commandments

The two passages are similar with this added cavaeut in Deuteronomy 5:9-10 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

This shows what is known as "generational" curses which I won't focus on here at present; but will briefly mention the passage in Ezekiel which clearly shows that a son who is RIGHEOUS isn't judged or ultimately accountable for a father's sins; conversely a blessed father whose son goes astray doesn't avail the child any ultimate eternal benefit either even if he or she is raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord.

Anyway; we should back up to the present to study and understand what consists of the idols of all false religion. God is invisible and unique in His attributes; at best any image of him is an oversimplification as Corinthians states the foolishness of God is far above the wisdom of man. Hence we see especially in the ancient empires of Greece; Rome and Egypt many architectural representations of either deities with images of animals; symbols and "gods" that represent what in reality is stolen glory to a lesser created being of demonic inspiration who supposedly directs and controls weather; affairs of men; etc. We see varieties of this type of worship from a vague concept we see in the book of Acts to the "unknown god" to what is usually specific portraits of horrific looking hybrid creatures to whom abominable sacrifices and actions are made in an attempt to quell the fury of these entities. This robs man of the fear of God alone; and therefore also equates a reverence of at best a created being; and the source behind it an unclean demon. More to come.
