Looking fir mercy not found in any man's face as she walked to judgement . Not in any woman's eyes either. By the time she got to that placebos judgement she was not looking anywhere , all hope was gone for she knew what the judgement wouid be . She was caught in the car .But when the Lord said nothing and that time passed it gave her a ray of hope and she no doubt began to "consider her ways " whenthecLord finished speaking and bent down again His words convicted the accusers as thecLaw is meant to do and from the oldest to the youngest they all left .
When he stood up again and perhaps for the first time looked at thec woman and said " where are thinecaccusers? She replied " I know not Lord" she had redeemed the time given to her and repented and called Him Lord . Not boasting over hervaccusers either .Then thecLord said "Neither do aI condemn thee go and sin no more", The only one innocent of sin and coukd have declined to do. Not it shouild be noted out of context . But what we see here is the Law and grace at work .
The law is not done away with as many suppose . It is there to convict of sin . We might be innocent in a court of man but on Gods we are all guilty under the Law . But God has given Everyman a measure of time bebit long or short to consider our ways and say something to God . Everyone is saying something to God believer or not . Many simply say " No God" and think they are free from the laws of Hod . Not so.
Jesus did not excuse her but gave her time to repent and she took the time given and did so and she was not condemned .
The accusers wasted the time given them and went away condemned by the very law they sought to be justified by .
