Much scripture can be surveyed; hundreds of verses actually which can make us question the other ones that indicate we cannot lose our salvation. I probably covered that before; for now I want to back up and examine salvation itself as many look at it as merely us being saved from hell and now identifying as a Christian and hence destined for heaven.
The concept of redemption has been stated as a concept in Catholicism who prefers that term to salvation. In one sense that is true; as we have been redeemed by Christ; as Ruth was in the O.T. by the "kinsman redeemer" Boaz. Our spiritual salvation is already established as we are "seated in heavenly places" (Hebrews). (I should say now with this unintended AI intrusion I can't search other tabs for verses-sorry; it seems to go here after a certain time).
This establishes the first point; the salvation of the soul comes first; the rebirth of the body later at the Rapture/Resurrection.
The next point is that we were saved FOR something. Our salvation is ultimately to glorify the Son and we are saved to be a demonstration of His goodness to all generations henceforth. The Millennium will allow us to coinhabit earth with mortal men; and eternity future who knows all that entails? For the unregenerate that seems like a punishment; or a narcissistic deity forcing himself on us. This is the first indication we often see of those who are in reality tares; or faking the part of faith. They have no real fear of the Lord (a requirement); repentance in their lives (going beyond an initial proclamation upon salvation); and are still enamored with their old selves; the world; flesh and the Devil. We TRULY are dead to sin if saved; He chastises His own as I have pointed out often. A child may run but they will run back when they sense danger up to a certain point when their heart is hardened at a certain age. The lost God allows for now to do what they want
