In further thoughts; this idea saddens me greatly. The tares simply don't know; they are unaware they are being deceived until too late. Now that brings up a whole controversy on free will and predestination. I will admit we all were enemies of God and followed the god of this world before the Lord reached us. Whatever our capability of accepting or rejecting truth and the steps on the way to the process of acceptance or rejection of God; we have to take His Word at face value; some simply are tares or goats. Some make it to heaven and some don't; and God is fair even though we don't get it. I will also say that emotion no matter how dramatic isn't enough in regard to being saved; but we also can't intellectually consent to Biblical truths without a new heart or without any emotion; after all a saved person HAS died or crucified their old nature in Him and that is a painful process whose death blow comes at salvation but until we are glorified continues to have residual effects in our fleshly mortal bodies. Again that is very saddening to think about; how much misery our remaining sins and rebellion cause for ourselves and others not to mention greiving the Spirit.
Now if we take something like deliverance ministry; no doubt there are some wolves in sheep's clothing who like to fling around the name of Jesus and may actually get some results. John 16:8 shows what should really rattle someone demon posessessed.
Satan ain't impressed with a sideshow and as we see in the book of Acts it can turn against those who want a publicity stunt.
We need to keep in mind when Jesus said that we shouldn't publicize our "good works" as the Pharisees did. (Again sorry I can't readily access the verse). This explains not casting our pearls before swine for those who are not serious about repenting seeking deliverance and also those TRULY filled with the Spirit not worshipping with professing believers in sinful lifestyles.
