    Forgiveness, pt 2

A brother in Christ told me an incident that happened to him in the past. He had a very bad time at work. He had a fight with some of his colleagues. He got very angry and shouted a lot. He was thinking about it all day long and couldn't get it out of his mind. He couldn't forgive hmself. He thought, how could he behave like that? He couldn't believe that he was the one who behaved like that. And he fell into some sort of depression.

In the afternoon, while he was driving, he stopped at a traffic light. A woman started to cross the road. She was carrying many books in her hands. Suddenly she fell down and the books flew all over the ground. But she immediately got up, shook the dust off her dress, picked up the books, and quickly crossed the road. The brother felt the voice of God within him. "Did you see what that woman did? Do exactly the same. Get up quickly, shake the dust (sin) off of you, and keep going your way. (What are you doing staying down on the street? Get up quickly.)"

Often God allows incidents like that to occur in our lives. Not for humiliating us. But for us to realize that we all have limits. And we are not as capable as we think we are. And so to go to Him and ask for help. For His grace. Because without his grace we will not go far. This is how we become humble.

    Blessings.
