The true believer is the prudent builder.
He hears the same words of Christ, and by the power of the grace given to him, obeys them.
He builds the House of his hope on the solid rock of Christ, submitting to His word.
From the outside, the two houses may look similar for a time.
Both are in the field of the church.
But the storm of the final judgment will come, and only the house built on the rock of obedient faith will stand. The other will suffer great and terrible ruin.
These are the 2 paths, "The house on the sand or the house on the rock" the question now is no longer theoretical.
It becomes the most important question about the foundation of your soul, and it is on that final personal question that we will speak next the question then falls upon you with the full weight of the approaching storm.
On what foundation have you built the House of your eternal hope, on the shifting sand of your feelings, your words, your gifts, your ministry?
Or on the immovable rock of a faith born of regeneration and proven in obedience to the will of the Father?
