this passage speaks of the giants born of the unholy union of fallen angels and human women. "in the earth in those days, and after that" means that before the Flood, these beings were rampant on the earth. after the Flood destroyed them however, it sounds like there was ANOTHER incursion to earth by fallen angels and again they sired these evil deformed giants that were an abomination in the eyes of God. "mighty men which were of old, men of reknown" is NOT a compliment. its meant to convey the giants strength and their pride in their strength.
ralph, dinosaurs are mentioned in other passages (leviathan and behemoth) in the Bible but this passage is about the Nephilim, the fallen ones, that the fallen angels sired.
