    Part 2 of 2 The statement made to Nicodemus was not confusing at all. Nicodemus had already posed the thought about a man going back into his mother s womb to be born again that way. Jesus clarified what he meant in John 3 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit . If I can say it like this, Jesus was saying, no Nicodemus I am not talking about a natural birth of flesh, but a spiritual birth through the Holy Ghost which is the power of God.
